We used to go to a nearby hotel chain which was pricier and sort of outdated. But we will now go to this hotel for all of our trips to Tulare or Visalia. We went for 4th of July weekend and were very impressed. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast buffet had SO many choices available that all of the picky kids found something they liked! The rooms are clean and have comfy beds with roomy bathrooms. This seems to be a new hotel and the price was very affordable!

Clean, well located, large room, nice and efficient lobby. Pool area and patio could use decor/landscape. A very nice hotel and met all our needs and expectations. Would certainly stay here again when in Tulare.

The Hotel and my room were very clean and comfortable; the beds and pillows were very plush and the carpet floors DID NOT make my feet dirty!! The bathroom was big, CLEAN and the complimentary body wash, lotions and shampoos were by Bath and Body Works ? a great unisex scent too! Charter Inn has a mini bar with 2.00 beers and they also supply ?hot breakfast? which was pretty good for being free but if you rather have a more filling breakfast, there is an "Ihop" right next door. The staff was friendly and helpful, like most of the locals I encountered. The pool was small but was really refreshing in the 105 degree heat. Although I am a frequent guest of Hilton and Marriott hotels, I was extremely pleased with Charter Inn all around! It was in a great location; seconds from the 99 freeway, outlet shopping (which has great stores, like R.L Polo and Nike) and grocery stores like Super K-mart and Super Target. If you are staying in Tulare, CA, you?d be a fool not to stay at the Charter Inn!

This was our 2nd stay. We had not been here for several years but the hotel has been kept in great shape or rennovated. Very clean, nice rooms and a full breakfast. I will stay here anytime I need to stay in Tulare.

I have been staying at this hotel every other week when travleling on business. The beginning of this year I made a reservation at the dront desk for my next business trip, explaining that I would be arriving late, please hold the room. No problem they assured me. I arrived, only to find they had given my room to someone else. Since it was midnight and other hotels were filled up I had to stay at an older run down hotel in a smoking room. With no other good hotels to choose from, I forgave them and continued to stay with them. Two weeks ago I arrived at the hotel with a confirmed reservation only to be told they had no record of the reservation. 15 minutes later they found a printed copy of my reservation, but since it hadn't been entered into their system and the hotel was booked they would not honor the reservation. Not everyone had checked into their rooms and since in the past they had given my reservation away because I was the last to arrive, it would stand to reason that they would extend me the same courtesy. They would not. I now stay in Visalia and will continue to do so until The Hampton Inn opens up in Tulare in July. If you dont mind being treated poorly and not a having a room when you arrive, stay here, othewise book a room somewhere else.

The hotel is on a busy street and adjacent to a IHOP restaurant. Across the street was a strip mall with a Subway and a grocery store. Stayed here one night while attending a wedding and for that it was in a perfect location. Room had refefrig., microwave, coffee, etc. and they all worked. Excellent buffet breakfast with wide choice of food from cereal to make-your-own fresh pancakes. Had a third floor room and was very quite for a Saturday night.

this hotel was pretty good. it's conveniently located, but what isn't in tulare. the only 2 gripes i have is that, 1) guests are promised wireless internet, but it only worked half the time. when i would call to the front desk the girls would get an attitude about it. and 2) some of the front desk staff kept stopping me in the lobby when i was on my way to my room to see if i was really a guest. i got locked out on the 2nd day, because they thought i was going to check out, but my room was prepaid online. even the cleaning ladies kept saying they heard i was going to check out. it got kind of annoying after a while.

Excellent location and helpful and friendly staff. Some noise from car and highway. Stayed in a King room with nice bed with a sofa and table. Enjoyed the room that had microwave, refrigerator. Staff was friendly. Free hot breakfast and dinner quite good. Though there was some noise from the highway and cars going by with an open window, not audible with the air conditioning on.

The hotel looks great from the outside and the lobby is nice also. The room unfortunately was not cleaned well, there was hair on the bathroom floor and no washcloths. Seemed as though the room had not been cleaned after the last guest left.

Very hospitable staff, nice breakfast, clean, and free wireless! No game room. Overall my stay at the Charter Inn and Suites was great. The staff was very hospitable, the rooms were nice, amenities included a mini fridge, microwave, work-out room, pool, bath robes, hair dryer, iron, complimentary breakfast, afternoon snacks, and free wireless. Unfortunately this isn't a hotel chain, otherwise I would stay here at other locations. But if I ever am in the area again, I will definitely stay here again.

Need to provide more than one wash cloth per room - always had to ask for another.Could allow 15 minutes past breakfast hour before picking up all of the food items offered.

We like to stay here because it is walking distance from the outlet mall. We especially like the breakfast that is included. There are many items to choose from to satisfy the non-breakfast eater and those of us whom breakfast is our favorite meal. The rooms are good size and I like the special touch of the robes. It has a high price feel but fits our budget. We have family in town so we have stayed in several of the hotels. This is definitely the best deal for the money!

Very comfortable mattress, lots of space in room. Swimming pool is extremely small with no deck space. Breakfast minimal.
