The room was recently renovated and looked nice - bathroom was tiny but had nice finishings and bath salts/lip balm were included in the toiletries! The walls were paper thin and I could hear people going up and down the outside stairs.

We booked this hotel through the travel website's "deals" for a very low price (around 40 more per night after taking out the cost of our flight), and it turned out to be a fantastic place to stay. It's relatively close to Banff's restaurants and shopping areas (about 3-4 blocks away), the staff is very friendly and helpful here, and the room was very clean and accommodating to skiers with lots of gear. My wife and I stayed in one of the loft rooms, and I would highly recommend this room because of the fireplace and roomy downstairs area to go with the spacious loft bedroom. The heated tiles were nice too! Great place for the money, esp. when booked as a package deal.

We had reservations through online travel website to stay at Charlton Cedar Court. online travel website canceled our reservation without our knowledge, Have proof of this. Be VERY careful when booking through online travel website. We were taken care of by the hotel even though they were sold out. They gave us a room at their sister property Delta hotel Royal Canadian. It is a step up from Charlton but they gave us the same rate as online travel website canceled and we had a wonderful time. Very clean, luxury room, mineral pool and hot tub. It was great. If you use online travel website I would call the hotel to confirm but first ask for their direct rate before booking through online travel website as most of the time that will be cheaper.

Good location. Very poor performance with regard to room air conditioning. They did not offer solutions to their problems with the AC.

Charlton's Cedar Court is only a couple blocks further from downtown Banff than more expensive hotels and has great rooms for a reasonable price. If you want amenities like a hotel restaurant, you have to visit their sister hotel a couple doors away - but that wasn't what we were there for. It's still an easy walk to downtown, and it's actually easier to get into/out of town to other area attractions from a little further away. Room had a small fridge and a huge bathroom with separate tub and shower. Great value in an expensive area - I would definitely go there again.

We were very surprised and pleased with the hotel. It exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the suite that has a kitchen between two rooms. We had a view of the mountains and everything was spotless. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We went in late September so there weren't many rooms occupied and the price was very reasonable. It exceeded our expectations to be sure and we would definately stay there agai.

We had a loft room, which was quite lovely. The room had a gas fire place and king sized bed. The hotel is in a very good location on the main Avenue walking distance from all the stores; also close to many of the ski resorts. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The hotel also has a nice indoor pool and Ski storage is available. Rooms have a pretty good view of mountains but hotel is only 3 stories and surrounding hotels partially block view."

Free internet access, good price and proximity to downtown. Decor is a bit outdated. Prefer TV in living room. This will be a 3 star moderate. However, the only option available is 3 star-upscale. It is an excellent value for the price.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The rooms were spacious and the heated tile floors were great. One draw back was that you had to go outside to get to the indoor pool (fine for summer, cold for the winter). Would definitly stay here again.

Loft structure attracts kids. Only offer one bed, force family to pay upgrade cost.

Beautiful room, large, large bathroom, robes. Only cookies at breakfast, no real creamer for coffee. Liked it, would go back, good location a few blocks from main Banff shopping, plenty of parking. Quiet, though our ground floor room had no view at all.

Spacious room, roomy bathroom, good location. No view, no real milk/cream in lobby for coffee. I thought it was a great value. A few blocks from the main action in Banff, lots of parking, nice room. Our ground floor room had no view at all, but a 30 second walk took you in the shadows of the Rockies. Nice robes, which was nice. No restaurant on premises but many close by. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful setting-lovely pool. A little noisy - could hear everyone else coming and going. I would stay here again, however I had been promised a room upgrade (via emails). The desk clerk could find no record of it when I checked in and could not provide me the room. However, when I checked out the upgrade was on my bill.

Clean, reasonable rates, central enough. In fact, there was construction in the city centre. If the construction was not happening in the city centre, some people may have thought the hotel is too far to walk. We stayed at Charlton cedar court in Banff, Alberta, in the month of July (2007) for only one night. We received 2 rooms with 4 double beds. The rooms were connected through a small kitchenette/washroom area and provided some privacy and disconnection for those who may have wanted it. The rooms were clean and reasonably kept. Free wireless internet was able upon request. We also received discount coupons for breakfast at the restaurant in the neighboring hotel (which we did not use).

Quiet, clean, friendly. Loft area of our room was difficult to get the air conditioning. This hotel was clean and pleasant. The loft rooms have a problem with climate control to the second level.

I like the kitchenette in the room. Housekeeping is a little late on the first day. The facility is a little old, but clean. The kitchenette suite is particularly useful and comfortable for family travel.

Location. Bed room is in a loft and was too hot even with full AC. Defective design of rooms. AC is on the main floor with the bedroom in the loft. Summer time, it never got comfortable in the loft. Could not sleep. When told the hotel staff, they were aware of the problem and said leave the window open and that is the best they could do. Even with windows open, it was too hot.

I liked the fact that it had a kitchenette and facilities to make beverages and warm up food. It was centrally located, staff was knowledgable. over all an enjoyable stay.

Just as nice as most in the area. Lock on bathroom door was broken. Nice little Banff hotel only a short walk from downtown Banff.
