Fantastic Location, great serviceThis apartment is located incredibly centrally and the manager Michael was very friendly and helpful. I would thorougly recommend this accomodation, there is no restarant but breakfast is taken about 50 yards away at Bohemia Bagel, which was also good,

We were very happy with this Residence - arranged pick ups from train and to airport - very helpful owner - great location - we stayed on the first floor - might be difficult taking large suitcases up to the fourth floor with no lift. Spacious clean good breakfasts with the vouchers provided. Really happy - would stay again and would recommend to friends.

Excellent Rooms, A Few Steps From The Charles BridgeThis really is a great value and very conmfortable hide away, seconds from the Charles Bridge. It is (only just) in the Lesser Quarter, which is the most attractive part of Prague for my money. The residence is a historical building, recently renovated to a very comfortable standard. My room was large, airy, and had a comfortable bed. The shower was fine. The most impressive aspect was the aspect - three double windows giving directly on to the street, which made the room light and cool. The street is noisy during the day - after all, it is the main route between the old and new parts of town, and the pedestrian route to the castle. Most of the noise dies away by 9 pm or so, and it was a delight to wander over the almost empty bridge for a morning stroll. The location will work well for those who want access to the historic sites, possibly less so for those seeking night-life and late drinking; there are some places nearby, but they tend to be tucked away down quiet streets. Something easy to overlook but actually quite rare in Prague is the warmth and helpfulness of the landlord (which is not to say Czech's are rude - far from it - but they are naturally less effusive than Americans, say, and if they aren't sure of their English can be quite short, which can come across as rudeness). I'm actually reluctant to lavish more praise on this place - I want the rooms to be available next time I come back!

The cleanliness and having such a large room made this a great value combined with a location that is excellent for walking the old city streets. Breakfast was offsite at a restaurant location not far from the hotel.

WonderfulA brilliant B&B right in the heart of Prague, just seconds from Charles bridge on the castle side. Michal the manager is really nice and helpful and met us on arrival. The rooms are big (number 6), clean and quiet. Shower was great, Sat TV and fridge and safe.Michal helped with money changing and taxis. I asked for champagne in the room, and it was there when we arrived. Breakfast across the road is great - plenty to eat and friendly staff.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The rooms were HUGE and immaculate, with wooden floors and white cotton bedlinen. Breakfast was included at a nearby restaurant and was completely delicious - fantastic selection. The location could not be beaten - we just had to walk out of the door to be in the middle of things. Fantastic value - I will definitely be returning!

Stayed here May 2008. Fantastic location on the Castle side of the King Charles Bridge surrounded by reasonably priced cafe bars and restaurants, if you look around some are very cheap. About 15 minute walk over the Bridge to the Old Town Square which is beautiful but much more expensive to eat/drink (search out the backstreets). A delightful/secure residence with 7 rooms (Room 8 is the managers office at the top) on 4 floors. There is no elevator so elderly/infirm/families with young children would struggle. If you want peace and quiet choose the back of the Hotel (Rooms 1,3,5,7) but you will be looking out only onto a whitewashed wall, although Room 7 (where we stayed) is in the attic and looks over the nearby rooftops. The front rooms (2,4,6) have nice views onto the picturesque street but will encounter the hub-hub of the crowds making their way to/from the Bridge a few yards away. The enormous rooms have King size beds which can split in twins. Small fridge, TV and safe are included in price. En suite bathrooms are very large with shower but no bath. Rooms are cleaned/towels changed everyday. No reception as such, contact is made through an intercom at the locked front door where you will be met by the Manager Michal who is a star. Very helpful, nothing is too much trouble for him. For breakfast you receive a voucher for 200 Crowns per person to use at the Bomehia Bagel Cafe which is on the street straight out of the Hotel about 20 meters away, very nice it was too. I would recommend using the Taxi Service (690 Crowns each way) offered to and from Ruzny airport. You can do it cheaper by bus/tram but if you have luggage and dont know the City its worth paying extra for door to door service. First time in Prague and we love it! Would definately recommend this Hotel and would stay here again.

This hotel residence cannot be faulted. Rooms are spacious, and well serviced, indeed impeccable. The location is brilliant, within a few doors of the Charles Bridge. The reception and cleaning staff were friendly and of great assistance, and the personal attention given by management made our stay completely enjoyable. I highly recommend Charles Bridge Residence.
