Originally built as a substantial family home in 1929, the English Cottage Style Chalet Chevron was later extended and converted to accept paying guests in its 12 quaint and uniquely styled bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms so as to provide some of the most charming accommodation in Auckland. Chalet Chevron stands proudly on the slopes of Parnell which was established as a suburb of Auckland in 1841, in the knowledge that she is one of New Zealand's oldest, well-kept, private Bed and Breakfast hotels in New Zealand's first and most vibrant neighbourhood. Our guests love the short walk to our local restaurants, cafes, pubs and bars, casual cafes and fine dining - it's all here in Parnell! What are your breakfast options?: A full cooked and Continental breakfast for each guest is included in our room tariff. Breakfast is served each morning in our dining room from 8:00am - 10:00am. We are also able to offer a self-serve breakfast for those guests checking out prior to 8:00am.
What transport is available to get around?: Auckland offers a range of transport options from taxicabs, through to metropolitan and tourist buses and suburban rail (http://www.maxx.co.nz/).

As far as airport transfers go, we have an arrangement with a local taxi company which can meet incoming or outgoing flights for a standard NZ$40 cash fare (usually NZ$75 to NZ$85).
What can I do nearby?: We are an easy 5-minute stroll from Parnell Village with all the restaurants, art galleries and boutique retail shops that Parnell offers. Further, the Auckland War Memorial Museum and Newmarket shopping precinct are both only a 10-minute walk away.

Downtown Auckland and the beautiful Waitemata Harbour in turn is 1.5km away from the Chalet with everything you would expect to find in a small, cosmopolitan city available there (i.e., the Sky Tower and Sky City Casino, Maritime Museum, various harbourside restaurants, cafes, bars and clubs, Kelly Tarltons Underwater World, the America's Cup Yacht bases at the Viaduct Harbour, etc.).
Do you have internet?: We offer wireless internet access throughout the Chalet at a standard cost of NZ$10 for a 24-hour period. This charge is negotiable for stays of three days or more.
Do you provide parking?: We offer on-site parking at the Chalet on a first-come, first-served basis. Alternatively, Kerbside parking is also available directly outside the Chalet's front door on a free, 24/7 basis.
