Location of the hotel was good, close to Takseem and Istiklal st. The Internet is chargeable in the hotel it's a shame on a 5 stars hotel ( service like this should be free). the restaurant is expensive. staff were cooperative and polite. Price of rooms too expensive comparing to other 5 star hotels.

We spent 2 nights at the Ceylan Intercontinental in Istanbul in December 2009 and found the comfort, luxury and service to be extremely high. The staff must have noticed from the check in details that it was my companion's birthday and how pleasantly surprised we were when room service knocked on the door with a complimentary birthday cake! An excellent choice.

They provide a good service. They are friendly and helpful. Their internet is very expansive. This hotel is perfect, but I didn't like the area a lot, seems not very safe, plus when I asked them about the internet, they said I have to pay 35 euro for one day/night (24 hours). It's very expansive, unlike the 5 stars hotel I stayed at in Abant - Polu, they have fast wireless internet for free thanks a lot for reading and have fun if any of you is going there.

Ceylan Intercontinental was great, after a long day of sightseeing and dinner you can't beat a surprise complimentary champagne bottle waiting for you at the room when you happen to be there on your birthday, that will tell you about their attentiveness to detail. Overall staff was very polite from the bellboy almost running out to the street to grab your luggage to the welcoming smiles of the rest of the staff. Rooms were kept very clean and nicely designed with marble wood and built in fridge, and snack bar, free room and reception safes were very handy, not to mention the nice high rise room view and/or from their top floor bar/restaurants. It's also perfectly located at walking distance from Taksim one the main shopping streets and around the corner from the (10dlls) Havag shuttle to the airport (in case you don't wan't to spend the 60dlls either way). Internet is not free but their system set up is very professional and you can purchase a 3 day pass for about 30 dlls but the quality of the hotel makes up for any such extra expense. Highly recommended for any type of vacation in Istanbul! I'd definitely stay again,

A really grand hotel ! Very good location (within walking distance from taksim square and the pedestrian istiklal street), luxury public spaces, staff friendly, superb restaurants and high quality food, guest rooms ampious and well fournished. The ""city lights bar"" on the rooftop was amazing, I think it's the best in town. This hotel is one of the best I ever stayed, simply impressive !

Very nice lobby, rooms, and restaurants. Their Turkish bath was not heated. This is a very nice hotel located in the center of Istanbul. The hotel is very fancy and well maintained. My only criticism is that their Turkish bath was not heated and that their price for using the internet was very expensive. I have stayed here a few times ' the staff is efficient but unlike in the past, was not very friendly. The top floor bar and restaurant gives a wonderful view of the city and the Bosporus. Over all ' I would stay here again but I wish they would turn on the steam in their Turkish bath.

Luxurious decor, furniture's and good location. Crazy expensive room service, mini bar and restaurants in hotel. As the other reviewers say, they have crazy expensive room service, mini bar and restaurants even though their quality is just in average. But I think stay at Inter Continental is a good deal. They actually have a spacious room(32-35m) with luxurious decor and furniture's which deserve its star-rating. And they are almost perfectly located, in a walking distance from Taksim Square. I well understand the negative side of this hotel, but still I would recommend it. At least, my partner and I were satisfied with the stay.

This is a beautiful hotel, clean and the view from our room was incredible - our deluxe room was large. Price for meals, use of telephone and internet was too high. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ceylon. The location was perfect to walk to many restaurants and shops; however, it is a long walk to the tourist sites. We took a deluxe sea view room which we found to be quite large and the view was very dramatic. Grab a roll at the square in the a.m. as the breakfast prices are too high. Go to an internet cafe as the cost of the internet is also high. Don't use the phone for the same reason. The rooms were extremely clean, we would stay there again.

Beautiful and upscale. The beds are way too firm and drinks are pricey. This hotel had a comfortable size room, nicely decorated and had nice amenities. The facilities were also very nice, and staff was accommodating.

The hotel was perfect, service, location and cleanliness. Everything in the hotel was extremely expensive, I had travel a lot and visit many 5 star hotels but this one was too expensive. Everything was good except that inside the hotel everything was so expensive, a bottle of water was $10, any drinks like coke or beer was $20 each, the food was expensive even a simple appetizer was $30 or more. But you can go outside de hotel to a nice restaurant and expend half of what you will expend in the hotel, I sincerely won't come back to that hotel, it is only for rich people.

Luxury, great rate. Had to argue about a billing problem with the hotel staff. Great hotel. Beautiful location in taxi and very luxurious. Highly recommended. Don't eat at the hotel as it is incredibly expensive. Including breakfast. You can walk out to taxi square and have a great meal for cheap.

Spacious hotel in thru heart of down town Istanbul, clean and well managed. Over priced services, mini bar and restaurant. Ceylon is a beautiful hotel in perfect location. Amazing lobby and clean rooms and facilities, but over priced in everything like any other 5 star luxury hotel. I would suggest dinning out rather than eating at the hotel. The hotels environment is very refreshing but the concierge is not very useful.
