We are conveniently located near the city center and the Far East Department Store, 10 minutes from the railroad station and 25 minutes from the airport, near public transportation, and with plenty of free parking spaces. It is only 5 minutes walk to the city's center and main shopping district, and near the entrance of Na-Bin Park; in addition, the starting point for city's bicycle route is right outside the hotel. From our hotel, it is very convenient for taking a leisure walk or bicycle ride to see the beautiful city of Hualien and its coastline.Driving direction: Please call, or once enter the city from the north via Jung Jeng Road, drive past Ho Ping Road, and then turn left on Jung Fu Road.

Very good hotel, spacious modern room. Nice staff, very good english spoken, lots of help to the customers (for example they gave me a laptop computer to use in the room all the night for free). Free expresso coffee, tea, juices, cakes in the lobby. Good western breakfast delivered in the room.

Pros: Meals: Nice american breakfast delivered to room - variety of choice, Room: spacious, quiet and comfortable room, clean and rather new condition, Staff: friendly and helpful, service was prompt, recommended tour to Taroko was good and reasonably priced with delicious lunch at Formosa hotel at SGD$50/pax Cons: Location: Not near to train station and need to take a short taxi ride of TWD$200, but the good thing is it is of walking distance to city shopping (ten minutes) Online Service: Hotel did not reply to email about pick up from train station service Pricing: Average, SGD$100/night. Overall: The stay was comfortable and pleasing. Will recommend it to others.

We chose this hotel after reading up all the reviews written about it. All positive comments - about excellent service and friendly staff etc. Indeed these remarks are true. We would recommend this hotel to those going to Hualien.

Service was impeccable! We gave them a call at the Hualien station and they immediately rushed down in 10min to pick us up. Complimentary! Very organised...they provided their own map of where to go and eat within the vicinity, a menu to pick your breakfast set, a coaster set for souveneirs, free bicycles to cycle around, a lounge with free biscuits, coffee and tea. The only thing was the pillow and bed was slightly too soft for my liking.

The decor (lobby, rooms, outside windows) was superb - cheerful and artful, which made me immediately feel light and happy. Room was very clean, spic & span. Amenities (toiletries, stationery) were complete and the hotel's logo beautifully printed on these. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially with arranging a tour to Taroko Gorge. Hotel has the bonus of being located on a very quiet street - but a short walk away is a road full of restaurants. More adventurous guests can get around using the hotel's free bikes! Great place! Highly recommended to all.

Hotel is not near train station but hotel provid free transfer from to and fro train station. Very courteous and efficient service. Counter staff are very knowlegable in giving directions and recommend tourist area for sight-seeing. Breakfast on the bed :).
