Hotel room was not as clean as I would have expected. Hotel was in a good location close to everything. Onsite spa was nice too. While I didn't go to the onsite restaurant, the atmosphere was looked comforting.

Excellent location at a very reasonable price. Real nice lobby and restaurant however rooms are old specially the bed which need immediate attention

The room was really spacious and had an excellent view of the bay. The hotel staff was not helpful. I had a wonderful experience at century plaza. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and it was also very quiet. The restaurant was excellent - incredible service and food. The staff was friendly and helpful at check-in but utterly unhelpful when checking-out. [Perhaps not the hotels fault but the particular attendant.] Overall, enjoyed my experience very much.

I would recommend this hotel - good service and comfortable rooms.

Was really impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the hotel staff, the size of the studio suite, and the soundproofing despite being located on a busy downtown street. Great location - excellent proximity to BC Place, shopping, restaurants, etc.. Breakfast was included in the price - expected something minimal but was pleasantly surprised with the choice, quality, and quantity of the food. Only quibble was we received only two breakfast vouchers despite registering as two adults and one child - had to pay for the third breakfast. Staff indicated it was becuase children stay free. Seems to be a breakdown in the logic - if a family of three stays at the hotel, then the breakfast promotion should cover all three. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay. Would stay there again.

The lobby is beautiful, and the restaurant is superb. And the gelato is possibly the best gelato I've ever had... ANYWHERE, including Italy. Still, the hotel rooms need fresh paint, carpets, drapes and couches. Our room was very shabby. In addition, there was one bar of soap to be used for the sink and shower... and no soap in the kitchen. Or towels. Also, even though we were on almost the top of the almost 30 floors, we were woken often by the ambulances coming in and out of the hospital across the street.

A great place to stay before going on a cruise. The only thing I thought should have been at the hotel was a fitness center. This is standard at nearly all hotels and not having one was a surprise.

We arrived via train & departed via cruise ship. We chose this hotel for it's location, online reviews & the value of the Travel website hotel special which included breakfast in hotel price. Lobby is Euro modern style. Check-in included hidden breakfast voucher in envelope - it appears that check-in staff didn't want other guests to learn about this offer. Ninth floor room was very large with good downtown view. Carpet was old but well vacuumed. We liked that the windows opened for fresh air. Hospital next door = ambulance sirens. Older construction allowed for city noise but not enough to keep us awake. No pre-Olympics construction in earshot which many Vancouver hotels cannot claim. Walked to Robson Street for dinner at an EXCELLENT upstairs Greek restaurant. We give them our HIGHEST recommendation for food & service. Only issue was in the morning when we sat down to breakfast. The wait staff told us the voucher was for one, not both of us. The following is a copy/paste of exactly what our Travel confirmation stated: Studio Suite - Includes Full Daily Breakfast for Two People (2 Adults ) Full Breakfast for Two Included Daily. The waitstaff told us she'd see what she could do. She returned & said they would agree & we had a lovely breakfast. Upon checkout we overheard another gentleman inquiring about the same deal because his children were not given vouchers. My advice is to printout your offer & be prepared to present it during checkin & breakfast. Have a great stay, we did.

The hotel was great! My room was essentially a one bedroom apartment. I kept thinking I've rarely even seen a one-bedroom condo in NYC this big. Spacious kitchen, full bathroom, huge living room with sweeping views of Vancouver, and a king sized bed. The bathroom was spotlessly clean. What a relief. While waiting for the elevator I looked at the emergency evacuation plan on the wall and noticed that it provided a blue print of all of the rooms on that floor. Apparently only the rooms on each corner are large ones like the one I had. I'm not sure if others rooms have smaller living rooms or no kitchen - but mine was definitely the best. The room was even artfully decorated with large vases and beautiful lamps. The hotel description goes on about the lobby, which was fine. I was more pleased with the uber-friendly staff (well, it was Canada aferall) and the superb room. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Hotel staff was friendly. They upgraded us to the Honeymoon Suite which was far more roomier than the other suites. But rooms are old and not so modern. We are vegetarian and the restaurant accidentally served us some non-vegetarian foods. However, they didn't charge us for the meal, and also brought up a complementary fruit tray up to our room afterwards. Overall, good location, hotel has a nice lobby, nice lounge are-beyond, and swimming pool is a nice hidden amenity on the lower floor. They have a laundriette machine on the 5th floor too!

The price charged was great value considering we got breakfasts for two the next morning. The room size was large and the staff were friendly and made us feel comfortable. The location was awesome; we even visited the spa which was very luxurious

Although the lobby, the restaurant and the newly opened cafe (good sandwiches and coffee) are very nice and modern looking, the rooms are very plain and a bit dated. Many hotels have flat screen TV's and iPod docks and the room was clearly meant for a business traveler (there was a printer in the room). The hotel was nice and quiet and the staff was very helpful. For the price and the superb location I will overlook all those minuses.

Good location, but slightly noisy (sirens wailing) because of the emergency hospital closeby. The view from my room (24th floor) was great. Cleanliness of the room depended on the maid. Furniture getting a little old. Laundry room small and dirty. The cafe in the restaurant was excellent and the food was great, especially the scones and muffins! Staff service was good. Didn't manage to go to the spa, but definitely a plus! Being a single female, and staying there by myself, my stay at this hotel was all-in-all very good.

i never been to Vancouver until early Dec this year. I heavily rely on the review to select the hotel so I also wanna offer some opinion to those who are planning to visit Vancouver. I felt so regret for not picking Century Plaza Hotel and Spa as there is only 1 single review here. After visiting Vancouver, I found that Centary Plaza is location-wise. Close to the downtown area and its juz opposite Sheration Hotel. Within walking distance to Subway sandwishes and Market Place (local superstore).

Several features I liked were the excellent restaurant, the friendly people serving, great bartenders, perfect location for walking around town and shopping and a short fun walk to Yale Town.

Although the front staff were only just pleasant, the room service ladies were always friendly and obliging. One of the bell hops was most helpful but the others were too laid back and not helpful. Location was good with the hop on/off buss right at the front door. Vancouver is a lovely city.

The price was amazing, and we got a HUGE room, with a tiny kitchenette. THe staff was very helpful with directions and bus info. They also let us stay for late checkout and gave us a ten dollar voucher for lunch. The only issue we have is the shower-- the hot water went in and out. I would definitely recommend this hotel tho, overall great!
