Night out in CheltenhamI booked this appartment very last minute and overall i was impressed by the value for money that I got. The appartment was very spacious with a good quality bathroom and the location was spot on for a going out in Cheltenham. I would definately use these appartments again and they are very affordable if the cost is split between four of you in a group. The only negative thing i would say is that it was a bit tricky to find.

Central hotelI have stayed in many hotels in the UK due to the nature of my work and have to say this is one of the better hotels. From the outside it doesn't look much, however the rooms are clean and a good standard. It certainly is good value for money.

i booked in a blind panic and went for something cheap on laterooms due to last minute work plans and can only say WOW. given the price was so good i wasnt expecting what i found, the place was lovely, staff were great and so helpful, i liked it so much i booked another night and although it required a little juggling by the staff it was all arranged with no fuss at all. picked keys up from local hotel and the early check in i'd asked for was no problem, after a short 2 minute and slightly confusing drive i arrived at the appartments, looked lovely from the front and i was staying in the coach-house through the back of the property. it was lovely, finished to really high standard and well equipped with all you would need, great shower and amazing comfy bed, all appliances easy to use and fully working, felt really homely and great for shopping, working or a night out, and the second night in a different part of the building was amazing too, just got better and better, its the kind of place id actually want to live, will be returning on a regular basis, cant praise the accomadation and staff enough.

Excellent value for money - with a great central location! This is a little gem - with a great location and price. For those ladies who love their shopping, the shops are literally just around the corner; the bar are nearby too.It looked as if our room had been newly decorated - everything was clean and tidy also. It is a budget hotel and we were expecting the worst before we arrived. However, the hotel was absolutely fine and I would highly recommend it.

Great location - key pick up was difficult to find but the appartment was close to town. We had a great stay.

Conveniently located self-catering room with parking!Room was quiet at the back of the hotel, but right at the top of the building. I stayed during hot weather and the room was very warm - had to sleep with the window open and earplugs. Earplugs were also essential if you wanted the fridge on as it's placed right next to the bed and is noisy. Microwave/combi oven provided plus kettle and a few basic bits of cutlery/crockery. Shower was good, bed comfortable. The whole place just needs a bit of an update. Staff were friendly and helpful and the parking was a God-send. Taking a car anywhere NEAR Cheltenham is a complete nightmare, but if you want to be able to park right in the middle of the debacle that is the one way system, this is the hotel for you! Check-out is at 10am but you can pay an extra £10 to check out at 12 noon.

Absolutely amazingThe stay exceeded my expectations. The quality of the apartment was absolutely amazing, everything i needed was there including a big screen tv with cable and wireless internet for my laptop. It was also suprisingly quiet for a busy saturday night and really enjoyed a lie in on the sunday morning as I paid a great price for a late check out at 2.00pm. The staff were really helpful and also a bit of a laugh. I would reccommend central serviced apatments to anyone who wants to visit Cheltenham.

Noisy, but otherwise pleasant, stay at Central Hotel. My sister and I stayed from Friday to Monday in early July 09.We found the staff very friendly and helpful. There was a problem with the toilet not working when we first arrived but this was sorted out promptly. The room was clean but a little 'tired'. As it was a twin room I feel that there should have been 2 chairs, particularly as cooking facilities are provided in the room (one person has to sit on the bed to eat).It was very hot when we stayed and as there was no fan in the room we needed the window open at all times which made the room noisey (the hotel is on a busy street.) I realise this is beyond the control of the hotel but I feel some sort of warning aout the amount of noise to expect would be appropriate as the pub down the road has very loud music. There is also a takeaway opposite the hotel which seems to be visited by the whole of Cheltenham between 1 o clock and 5 o clock in the morning. Saturday was particularly bad and although there were 'security staff' (not provided by the hotel) , this ensured no really bad behaviour but couldn't prevent lots of noise. Finally as the hotel is unstaffed during the night my sister and I felt a little vunerable when some young men were banging on the door of the adjacent room in the early hours and shouting at someone called Scott to open the door or they would have to break it down and he would have to pay for it to be repaired! They did sound more tipsy than agressively drunk but things could have been different.

The central hotel is in a brilliant location in the centre of Cheltenham. We were only there for one night as were seeing a show at the town hall. We were able to walk just a few minutes to where all the restaurants and shops were. The staff were very friendly and particularly helpful when it came to directions. The room was a good size but very hot! The sink and shower were also in the room, however the location of the sink was awkward as it had a cupboard overhanging it which we kept banging our heads on. As the hotel doesn't provide food, it was useful to have a fridge in the room. The only bad points were the toilet being just outside the room, the car park was very tight to manouvre around and the room could do with an update in terms of decoration. Otherwise, a comfortable stay that is good value for money.

Clean, comfortable, central and affordableStaff at the nearby Central Hotel were extremely helpful and accomodating and the entire process was conducted with absolute efficiency. I was delighted with the standard of the room and the furnishings - all of which were excellent. An ideal destination for a weekend visit (both for single travellers and couples) and a great alternative to renting a small hotel room. The serviced apartments were excellent in every way.

Good locationOn arrival friendly helpful staff which was appreciated after the nightmare of the Cheltenham one way system. I had booked a single room but was upgraded free of charge to a double :) thank you!

Very NoisyThe hotel was clean and friendly etc, but placed near the road with 2 bars to the right meant people were shouting at 2am so difficult to sleep.

After booking a 3 person 1 bed appartment - the hotel in charge phoned and said this was a little small for 3 people so offered us a 2 bedroom instead at a reduced price. We were in the 2 bedroom basement appartment. Sash windows are lovely but a little draughty - which is why the curtains are left shut! The kitchen/lounge area was lovely - huge TV, sky, massive sofa, dining table and chair etc. There is also a large welcome pack which includes loads of phone numbers etc of restaurants, taxis etc. Very useful! Bathroom is small but prefectly formed with shower over the bath, towels are also provided.Bedrooms are small but very comfy. Main bedroom has wardrobe with iron & ironing board inside - and a bit of a leak over the window which needs attention.Single room has a door out to the back terrace.Hair dryer is suitably placed by a large mirror in the hallway! The map for these appartments is not correct for where you get your keys or where you stay! So best to find it on a map first! There is a car park on the next road where it is £5.50 for over 4 hours ( keep an eye on what time it says it is valid til - we did £5.50 on saturday at 6pm and didn't have to return til 11am sunday...! ) Overall a lovely place to stay with more flexibility than a hotel. But don't forget your tea bags and milk for the next day - it is an appartment so no room service or breakfast provided!Location is great for the town centre and you could walk to most places. We'd definately stay again.

I don't know how the can do it for the price.Right in the town centre, free parking, free wifi. Don't be put of by the cheap price. Spoke with manager, he says they are just trying to do deals (down to credit crunch) & keep customers happy. Well i'm happy, & i'll be back.

An excellent apartement located just a few minutes walk from the main shopping centre. Public car park just around the corner and only £5.50 for the day. Great facilities for cooking if you choose to stay in - also large t.v. with SKY and DVD player. Very clean throughout. Sofa bed in living area plenty big enough for two adults and very easy to make up. All in all a great place to stay and would definitely recommend!
