smaller suite that we stayed in was exactly that- small! We felt cramped due to layout of the room. In fact the rooms were connected by a thin wooden interior door so if for example you book the 2 BR suite then the 1 BR as we had just opens up to the adjoining room. If you have the 2 or 3 BR version this seems to be ok, but when booking the 1BR you are taking a chance that there will be people on the other side of that door using the adjoining room. When we arrived there was a party going on in the adjoining room, they were smoking and very loud, as if in our room. Front desk was kind enough to relocate us but overall very noisy property and not quite what I would consider "resort" status. There are several other properies in the area that we have stayed at that are much better quality for the price.

We spent a week as a group of 5 in a 2-bedroom unit located at the south end of the main complex (note that a portion of the resort is across a busy street from the main part - a possibly less desirable location as some reviewers have noted). As is typical in this resort area, check-in was a little hectic since everyone tends to arrive & depart on the same couple of days, but it went fairly well and fending off the impossible-to-avoid timeshare pitch wasn't too difficult. Our unit was clean, had no objectionable smell(s) and with the exception of the microwave everything worked properly. Units are grouped around three different pool-clubhouse facilities that feature (in addition to the pool) exercise facilities and internet access so those amenities will be close by. The main office with it's mini-mart & snack bar was a bit of a wallk from our unit, but we only needed to go there a couple of times during the week. The resort is located just off Highway 192, which is sort of the "main drag" of the area and is lined with every kind of eating & shopping establishment you might want. A Super WalMart is nearby, a good choice for initial grocery shopping after arrival. Disney World is minutes west. All in all, Celebrity is a perfectly adequate place to spend your vacation, and a good value for the money.

The resort is pretty. There are many of children activities.The pond is beautiful! The first night, the a/c wasn't working.Maintenance looked at it but was unable to fix it so they opened the door to the adjoining suite ? which cooled our room. Maintenance came back in the morning but never returned.No one else ever communicated with us regarding the a/c.The adjoining suite wasn't clean and was closed due to maintenance problems (broken lock on door).We didn't feel safe due to the broken lock on the adjoining suite so we barricaded a chair under the handle.The pool was great!!

The condo was spacious and had everything we needed, but could stand a little more attention to detail. The carpet could use a good cleaning, and one of the air in take covers on the jacuzzi was missing. We ended up stuffing a face cloth in there to make it quieter. The only thing I would definitly stay away from is their high speed internet. It was horrible. For the most part it didn't even work. STAY AWAY FROM WONDERPORT. We ended up using the computer in the lobby. It was a waste of 40 bucks. We didn't spend a whole lot of time at the condo so it worked well for us. I would go back, the price is right and I felt safe the whole time I was there. If you go expecting a 5 star you will be disappointed. If you go expecting a 3 star you won't be.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and each time the stay was different, especially with how clean it was. the first time we stayed it was clean and everyone was mostly nice. The second time we stayed the frige was filthy and smelled like mildew (I cleaned it because it was taking housekeeping too long to get there.) The third time was great. Everything was clean and the staff was nice. We are going to stay again soon, but we are going to bring some cleaning supplies!! I know it is terrible and shouldn't have to do that, but the price of the hotel is great. It is close to all of the parks and they have some great resutrants around. The malls are close by too. Defiantely bring some Febreeze if you don't want your room to smell like smoke!! We are going to bring our own blanket this time too, cause the top blankets are questionable in their cleanness. The pool area's are nice. The second time we stayed at the hotel, the water had some kind of stuff in it and we had to get out and shower, it left a film on our skin. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. The price and location are great. I have learned from staying at this hotel, bring cleaning supplies and blankets!! Enjoy your trip to FL!!

I was very disappointed with this place. They do not have any non-smoking rooms. If you're a non-smoker or have small children, you don't want to stay here. We don't smoke, but had a haze of smoke in our room from the adjoining room. The front desk refused to accomodate us.

We found another hotel on HWY 192, for less money and much, much nicer. We are so angery that we lost our first night $$ Because we signed in without asking to see the room first! The hotels rate themselves, which we didn't know that was the deal or we would not have signed up with Orbitz. There won't be a second time!!

The property is stunning. We had a condo on the main property right behind the main pool. Before we arrived I asked for an ionizer to be put in because of the smoking issue and my kids have asthma. As soon as we walked into the room I knew there was no ionizer put in because it smelled so bad. We tried to air out the room but there aren't screens on most of the windows and I wasn't in the mood to have lizards in the room. My daughters asthma acted up the whole time we were there. We found ants in the sink and throughout the stay they were in all of the bathrooms. The first night I stayed up until 2:30a.m. just washing sheets because they felt gritty and washing the place down. We ended up getting candles to help with the smell and we thought it worked until we got home and everything still stunk. I can still smell the smell in some of the items and we got home June 13th. Both deadbolts were broken, the towel rack fell off and almost hit my daughter in the head, the a/c was broken and they kept trying to repair it but it didn't work. Customer service was good because everytime I called someone was right there but I don't think I should have had to call that much. There salesman was great, we had no pressure about having the breakfast. I wish I could say the same for the corporate customer service reps. I have expressed my concerns and haven't heard anything back. I personally talked to one and she was the one who stated an ionizer would be in place and that there was no renovation being down on the property and she lied.

the only thing i liked about the hotel was the location near disney. there were people all hours of the night yelling and partying all around, i got no sleep the first night. the rooms are incredible small, there was barely enough room for 3 people to move around in. the rooms are as if it were an old apartment complex sectioned in odd shaped rooms and the conecting doors you could hear everyone in the next room and lights shown through in the middle of the night. would only stay again if on a major budget and rarely in room.

Compared to some reviews it was a good place for the money. We booked through interval and we were placed on the main property right behind the main pool. It seemed to be a newly renovated condo but when we first walked in the smell was horrible. I had requested an ionizer before we arrived just in case there was a smoke smell and there was no way an ionizer was placed the night before. If you are planning to stay make sure you use your first night to wash the sheets and air out the room. As soon as I walked in I threw off the quilts and put them into a closet and didn't touch them again. I washed all of the sheets and middle blanket so I knew they were clean. Both of my kids have asthma and my daugther's did act up when we were there. She coughed a lot and we had to use her inhaler a few times. As soon as we left she stopped coughing. The air conditioner didn't work so they came in and fixed it but then it wouldn't turn off. So I called again and they showed me how to reset it so every few hours I had to reset it. When we got in, there were ants in the sink so I called down and they sprayed and they stayed out of that sink but we found a few throughout the condo. There had been a lot of rain so I think they were taking shelter. If you choose to stay there it is beautiful on the main property (I didn't go across the street) and close to a lot but a car is necessary. Plan to do cleaning the first night and it will be fine.

I didn't have to pay much, but still wasn't impressed with rooms or anything really. Maybe if you're used to a trailor it would be a resort, but it was just OK. They've tried to fix it up, just haven't gone that extra mile. EXCELLENT customer service though!!! I won't be back, but I only pd */nite, so it was alright...

the staff very unfriendly and seemed like very unhappy with their job which they should take pride. They seem to careless about you as their guest. The room is huge but needs cleaning. the couch in the living room need some sewing as there are holes and after i sat on them I itch all over!! It is a huge hotel room but lacking care, feels like an abandoned building ..... you are on your own !!

Overall, the stay was okay. When we first got there, the hotel staff put us in a room that was very different then what we saw in the pictures, which is the reason we booked this hotel. The paint was old and was very worn in the kitchen. The appliances were new but the rest of the room looked older then what we were expecting. Also, we did not have a car and we had to walk across a busy street to get to our room because we were in their adjacent property across the street. We did ask to be moved to a newer room and we were moved to a unit in the main property which was much better. The fitness center only contained 3-4 pieces of equipment, but we didn't use them anyway. There were daily activities that were displayed everyday in the resort lobby. The resort does offer a shuttle service for $10 per person per day, which is a round trip to the Disney Theme Parks, we found this to be cheaper than a taxi, since we didn't have our own car. You do not get new towels but you can call to have them exchanged. Also, there is maid service but there is a fee which was about $37 for the full-service per day. We found that we really didn't need the maid service at all during our stay, and we had plenty of towels. There are several pools through out the property which was nice. There is no grocery store near-by that we noticed. There was a Wal-Mart but it was not possible to walk to it because it was so far away, you would have to drive to it. Overall, the hotel was nice and staff was friendly for the most part.

Each has a 2 rooms, 2 bath rooms with spa in each bath room but the water in there smells awfully. I have to let water runs for about 15 minutes before using it to wash out the smell. Staff members do explain clearly all the fee. Have to pay for internet access though. I thought a resort like this should give customer free wireless access. The room is designed and clean, there are microwave, washer, dryer, kitchen, silverware and dishes plus regfrigerator as well. After all, I think it is OK to stay in this resort and it would be best if they can resolve the smell from water.

There were so many issues for me with this place. The most annoying was that the pictures they used on Travel website.. the pool were not THEIR pool, it was the pool of the neighboring resort, which they do share amenities with. However, to get there, you have to drive with your car! As, I was traveling with 2 small children, I specifically booked this place because of how nice the children's area of the pool was....and it wasn't even there! I also found the staff unfriendly and there were almost no activities, especially for young kids. They did have a brand new play ground on site....small, but sufficient. The unit we stayed in was awful. So many things were broken...the blinds in the living room would close, the power sockets in many of the rooms didn't work, the door wouldn't close properly unless you slammed it, and then to get out again, it took an awful amount of pulling and tugging to get it open. The dishwasher leaked all over the kitchen floor, several of the blankets had holes in them, and on and on. Instead of feeling like I was on a holiday, I felt like I was in a movie at some gritty hotel somewhere!!!

Our week long stay at the Celebrity Resort was perfect. The bedrooms were huge, plenty of space for a family of 5. There was a minor problem with the garden jacuzzi tub, but this was easy to overlook because everything else was great. The kitchen was also very well stocked with everything needed for cooking for and feeding my family. The staff was friendly and attended to our requests immediately. The condo was clean, quiet, and perfect for what we needed. We would definately stay at Celebrity Resort again.

Traveling from rainy Portland, Oregon we were hoping to find a family friendly hotel with sunny pools and kids activities to keep the kids entertained without having to do the whole "Disney" thing. This Celebrity hotel was sorely disappointing. We arrived early and our room wasn't ready. The staff was unenthusiastic and uncaring. The grounds & buildings are dated and in disrepair. The Tiki Bar is a junky shack on a busy street corner. The pools are small and uninviting. Many of the amenities and activities described in the advertising were nonexistent or were available only at their "adjacent property" which was not adjacent to nor convenient to the resort. We never even checked into this hotel and called a travel agent and booked a different hotel as fast as we could. I thought I had found a great Orlando deal but, as they say, "You get what you pay for".

This resort not hotel was amazing. I am a teacher an wanted to get the feeling of a real relaxing vacation. I did not want a hotel. If you want a hotel do not stay here. This is a great open air resort. It is not the extremely fancy resorts but who needs all that. The heated pool was fantastic. The activities were wonderful. My daughters loved the drive in movie night pool side. The karaoke night was a hoot. It was in the lil bamboo restaurant and bar. We ate there 3 times and the service and food was great. The towels were delivered when I asked for more. The internet service in the hotel front desk area was fast. The staff was friendly! I think that the lesson here was that you treat people with respect and you get it. All 300 rooms booked the entire time. Funny that only the people who complain write anything. We stayed in the hotel room 401A. We had 2 beds a newer tv than what was reported. Everything worked, remote and all. We also had neighbors, I put towels under the door and our suitcases against them and all was well. It is like the old holiday in adjoining doors. Now big deal. There are 2 locks on the doors deadbolt and all. Air conditioning was awesome our house is a constant 70 in the Summer and worked well for us. My husband and I loved the place and all the inhabitants. It is funny that all the complaints are things that I purposely searched for. I found that the rooms were clean and not bug or smoke infested. I hope that this helps. Go into it with the attitude that it is a resort not a hotel and all will be well. Celebrity Resorts thanks for such a wonderful time we will not forget it. The Hummel's 32, 30, 9, and 4. By the way your room card gets you into the star island the adjoining sister resort. It was a huge gated resort. You can use all the amenities there. They have a beach and cabana's as well as tons of heated pools and a gold course.
