This review is for the room I've been in. Stayed there April 17-19. Shared bathroom (shower and toilet), small as can be, shared by 3-4 rooms. The washbasin in the the middle of the corridor which leads to two rooms, was as well very small and not the cleanest. You could hear everything from the corridor and the room next to you. The door locks did not look very secure. Open wires hanging around in the room and the two windows faced to a parking lot and it was easy to look through the blinds (no curtains at all). The pictures show in no way the standard of the rooms on the base floor. So if you decide to go to this place, make sure to get one of the rooms above with private bathroom. They seem to be ok. But avoid the others! The hotel looks very nice, when you walk in, but again, I can only imagine the quality of the rooms on the upper floors. Unfortunately it was not possible to upgrade, since these rooms were booked out. There was no indication of a shared bathroom when I booked it. I will contact travel website regarding this. I travel a lot and have normally no high standards, but this was definitely not worth the money I paid. In the first night, only two rooms were occupied and I was late, so I decided to stay, but I booked another room nearby in the second night after another couple arrived and you could hear every word they said in their room. Again, I was very disappointed, but this review is only for the rooms on the base level!

The hotel was in a wonderful location - walking distance to a lot of attractions and a metro stop. The interior of the hotel was lovely - well decorated and clearly newly maintained and VERY clean! Another nice thing was a mini fridge and free wireless internet in the room. It was a value for the money, but it lacked a lot of privacy and had some distinct comfort issues. We had a room with a few large windows that overlooked the street and a hospital across. The blinds on the window were not solid, so it felt as if anyone could see in - especially the window washer on a ladder that was cleaning at 9am! The problem is that the tub/shower is in the room, so that if we opted to bathe in the evening, we'd have to turn the lights almost off to feel that people could not see in our room. Solid blinds or curtains must be added to this room! There is no elevator, so be ready to carry heavy luggage up steep stairs! Additionally, the design/age of the hotel meant that the floors were quite noisy. A thin wall separated us from the breakfast area, and we were woken up early every morning by the sound of chairs and other banging noises. One evening there was some music playing in this area, and we could hear it in our room. Each night we had to sleep with the exhaust vent on to drown out other sounds. Also beware of this hotel in the summertime. Despite the pleasant outside temperatures, our room was always hot and uncomfortable. The hotel advertises air conditioning on their website, but we did not encounter this.

I'm so glad I chose this hotel. Very nice and helpful staff. The atmosphere was fun and very European...which really added to my whole Canada experience. We were on the fourth floor (beware, there are no elevators) and the steep stairways were a little tricky but definitely added to the ambiance of the place. The room was fun and interesting...the shower was in a corner of the room. The room was small but it was just my mom and I and we were only sleeping there so, it worked out just fine. We loved the location~two blocks from the Metro which we used all the time (buy a pass!). Breakfast was a bagel and coffee~just perfect to start the day. Very close to old Montreal and lots of places to eat and visit within walking distance.

We stayed2 nights at this lovely peaceful hotel. Very near everything especially the Old port gardens. Walked to st catherine street and latin quater , louvre etc but metro and buses very easy to use from this hotel.. We had a large double-queen at a reduced rate ( 2 day special) which was great value. Our large room was spotless, quiet and had a flat screen tv and a very comfortable bed. Plenty of storage and a well lit small bathroom. We were on 4th floor. The lounge is at each floor nice , causy with a fire and the whole place is run very well. The staff are friendly and helpful which is not always the case in many hotels in Montreal . A perfect stay!. (we had breakfast out. ) Despite being in the middle of everthing the room was quiet with double glazing and the whole place has a traquil atmosphere.

The first room is very poor. The washroom is not inside the room. It is very noisy in the first floor. Second night, i spoke to one of staff. He upgraded to the suite for me without extra charge. It is much better. Location is close to downtwon within walking distance.

I just stayed at this hotel this past weekend. If you are in a budget room, you might want to go to a suite or another hotel all together. You do not have a bathroom that is separate from the rest of the room (the toilet was behind a sliding door, and there was about 3 inches to sit down in, no exaggeration). The room looked unfinished from the remodeling. The 24-hour coffee/tea/open bar is not provided by the hotel...it is the convenience store next door. Good luck finding parking; the closest parking is next to the hospital across the street and is not overnight parking. Our television was about to fall off of the make-shift stand and the staff did nothing about it. We moved it to the mini-fridge so it wouldn't fall on the floor. Basically, look elsewhere if you want a comfortable stay in Montreal!

We stayed 2nights at this lovely peaceful hotel. Very near everything especially the Luxembourg gardens. Walked to Marais, louvre etc but metro and buses very easy to use from this hotel.. I liked that it was close to restaraunts, bars, and the subway, but the hospital across the street had smokers outside all the time. The traffic and hallway noise were both loud and woke us up several times. We also had a problem with our room but we were moved to a different room right away.

I stayed at this hotel on the advice of several friends. It was a wonderful experience. The staff was INCREDIBLY helpful during my ENTIRE stay. The location allowed me to walk many of the important sites of Paris, and it was conveniently located near several Metro stations. The rooms were extremely clean, and the daily service was exceptional. I will stay here again

We arrived to the rudest reception person who seemed like he had better things to do than even say hi or talk to us. The bathroom was separated from the room only by a shower curtain. We were promptly moved to a better room that had a king size bed that sloped really badly and there was a gross yellow substance leaking from the ceiling. We had to listen to dripping and a funky smell the whole stay while continually dumping out the gross liquid. The shower didn't work properly but we were happy to at least have a door on this room! Overall, this is a sketchy, dirty, and unfriendly hotel.

The Glamour Hotel is without question a disaster. It is very badly managed which translates to a terrible experience for hotel guests. The toilet was in a corner of the room, approx. 2 feet from the bed and curtained off. I have to ask if this even meets building code. The shower was in the opposite corner of the room, approx. 1 foot from the bed. In short this is a hotel to be avoided.
