Cedar Tree Inn was a nice Hotel that was clean and priced very well! If you want a hotel with those extra frills, then this one is not for you, but if you are on a budget and want a nice clean place to stay that is very reasonably priced then this one is for you.

Easy access to room and parking. Room could use table lamp at work table. Hotel is located on spacious lot, in quiet area, within other hotels nearby, largely traffic free. Hotel is four story with rooms on each floor off central hallway, elevator and stairs accessible. Room was clean, spacious with window overlooking parking area ( I was on 4th floor), non smoking room, with bath/shower, large king size bed, large cable serviced TV, phone with free local calls, coffee maker and coffee supplied, room contained bed, chair at work table, upholstered couch in sitting room area, well lit mirrors, including full length mirror on back of bathroom door, front desk manned 24 hours, very responsive and courteous to any needs, room well cleaned by maids, plenty of outside food delivery service available. Security not an issue.

The value for the price was good. The hotel is older than some in the area and could use some updates, The rooms were clean.

I went into the lobby to book the room while she waited in the car. Lobby was very nice. While returning to the car she was scared to death as a policeman with a bullet-proof vest was in the parking lot. We went upstairs to our "double suite" as they called it. The room was a nightmere. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls, the heating unit was rusty, curtains very dirty. Looking out the window we saw the pool which was filled to the top with dirt. The bottom sheet had yellow stains and her bed had no top sheet. We took towels and layed on them, slept in our clothes with the light on. I felt roaches would come out if we turned out the light. Television didnt work and the light switch was broken. We checked out at 4:30 a.m. a bit early but glad to get out of that room. The dirtiest and most broken down hotel I have ever seen, it should be condemmed. We used the bathroom but flushed the toilet with our foot and never used the sink to brush our teeth. Very disguesting.

My room did not have hot water in the shower and the room had to be exterminated during our stay.

Nothing. Staff was very unfriendly. Bed was hard as a rock. Bedding was from the 70's. Lobby was horrible and everything made me feel like I was in a cheesy Hotel from the 70's. Would not stay there again.

My friend and I booked this hotel after staying at American Inn and we were pleasantly surprised. We booked last minute and got a decent price of $50.00.We were in VA picking up my husband and didn't expect to stay an extra day. There is only one entrance into the hotel but every time we went in or out the staff would buzz us in quickly. The elevator was a bit frightening, it jerked every time it stopped Parking wasn't a problem we always found a spot in the front of the hotel.I was surprised to find the hotel had a Micro and Fridge and it had a big vanity where both me and my friend were able to get prettied up without being in my husbands way.

Friendly check-in, clustered with some very nice hotels (Marriot, Hampton Inn). Front desk did give me a bit of hesitation (they were monitoring camera shots of the interior of the hotel at the time), but the room was nicer than I expected, though small. There were 2 of us, and we got a fairly clean and well-kept room with 2 double beds. For a very low priced room, we got cable TV, ironing board & iron, mini coffee maker & coffee pods, hair dryer, small microwave and refrigerator (some amenities I haven't gotten in far pricier places). No restaurant, but you can order Chinese or Pizza delivery, and there are plenty of nice places nearby to drive to. The location is good (right off I-64, half an hour from Va. Beach). I read the reviews about noise, and mentioned "hope the room is quiet" to the front desk at check-in, and was told, "if you have any problems with noise, sir, just let us know and we'll be happy to move you, no problem". If you want "posh" look elsewhere, but if you're not fussy and want a comfortable night and a great price, this place is just the ticket.

The staff was very friendly. Pool was filled in with dirt. This small family owned inn is well maintained and the staff is very personable. The location is great - many restaurants, close to the highway and the convention center. We were surprised to see that the pool was filled in with dirt. On the upside the management has an extensive DVD collection for rent. The lobby is decorated very interesting, murals of waterfalls and animals. The kids loved it, but I thought it was a bit gaudy.

The Hotel was nice and the location was really great! The only problem i had was the guest in the other rooms were loud every night i stayed. Sounded like someone was always slamming around mid-night. Other then that the hotel was very reasonable with price and the location was fantastic. Down side the hotel did not have a pool!

Distance to family in the area. Morning front desk staff very polite. Evening front desk staff very rude. This was the worst, overpriced hotel that I have ever stayed at. The room smelled horrible, the sheets had holes in them, the towels were old and itchy with holes. The hotel room was supposed to be double occupancy but only one soap and shampoo were provided. I was with young children and was afraid for our safety to leave the hotel because many individuals were hanging out outside and loudly playing music. I will never stay here again and would only recommend this hotel as a last resort.

Room are pretty big but very bad isolated. The microwave are in top of the sink and very unstable, it is dangerous to use it.You have the feeling that every time when somebody open or close a door on the hallway is like a earthquake. On the parking lot are many drunk people even when the coops are at the front desk. Very unsecured hotel, try to avoid that area. No swimming pool.
