Where can we dine?: The chalets are steps away from the Cedar House Restaurant (Top 50 Places to Eat in Canada by The National Restaurant Guide, and rated 3 diamonds by CAA/AA and Top 20 Weekend Getaways in Canada). The restaurant is not open for breakfast or lunch, only dinner.
What transport is available to get around?: We can arrange a bus pick up from Cairns City, Cairns Airport or the Northern Beaches up to Villa San Michele. Other than that, all tour companies pick up from us.
What can I do nearby?: The Cedar House is located five minutes from the town of Golden, BC. Golden and the surrounding area have so many activities. In the winter months, cross country and downhill skiing are very popular, as is driving to Radium for a soak in the natural hot springs. There is heli-skiing and cat skiing available as well as ski-touring in the local National Parks. Certified guides can be hired on a daily basis. In the summertime, many visitors enjoy the award winning Golden golf course, paddling in the Columbia Wetlands, mountain biking, downhill biking and road biking, hiking, sight-seeing in the National Parks (Yoho, Banff, Kootenay and Glacier are all within an hour's drive). Whitewater rafting is also very popular in the summer as well as mountain climbing and fishing.
