This hotel does look and seem like a great place. But it's not, It turned out to be a vacation from HELL. The Beach is truly the only good thing about this place!!!!! There is no AC in the rooms, on top of that there are sensors in the room so if your not moving the fan and little air that is coming through the vents shuts off. The wait staff that are suppose to serve you are either to shy to come and take your order or simply act like your a bother to them. Its not 24hr all inclusive like the hotel says. The swimming pool is really small and populated with kids. There is also not a bus that takes you into town every 20 min like the hotel mentions as well. My last night I was followed very closely by two male security guards which made me feel very unsafe. Since the hotel walkways are very dark, not to mention there is only 5 guards that work the entire resort. Out of all the nights I stayed in the resort I never saw security walk around until than. Also,Beware of sea lice!

overall the food is ok the room and grounds are nice but you cannot escape the heat. our room might have gotten down to 78 late at night better speak french or italian or be prepared to try and speak to the help they speak more english than 90% of the guests

The hotel is on a nice beach. This is probably the only pro. We could only find ONE bartender who could make decent drinks with the cheap alcohol they serve. The staff was not very helpful. If you like to have room service or beach or pool service there isn't any here. The rooms are really rustic. The shower in the rooms that are not renovated are really gross. They have lots of black mold its just disgusting. The renovated rooms are nice and new but the beds are just as uncomfortable as the old rooms. I upgraded to a renovated room and it was not worth the price. We had a nice new room but the bed was awful and our patio was smaller and had a view of a huge wall. The suites look like they may be nice but I didnt take a look at them. The pool is small and there is nothing fun about it. The chairs to lay out on the beach were kinda old and very uncomfortable. My boyfriend and I took a walk down the beach and noticed that there were so many other hotels on that same beautiful calm beach that were much nicer. We even looked at the rooms of some of them. Basically I would not stay here again. Its not a horrible experience because the food was very good and the hotel was very quiet and calm (until the weekend)but it was not how I would want to spend my vacation again. I want my time off to be perfect. We did go to the spa there and the price they ask for was too high for the quality of services they provide. Thank you for reading

"It was better than what we expected. The food at the buffet was great, the grounds and everything looked great and facilities and room well taken care of. The beach was beautiful and spa very relaxing and clean. I recommended. We'll go back agan as soon as we can."

We read some bad reviews about this hotel and were pleasantly surprised that it was so great. First, the beach and the location are the best, and we've stayed many times in different hotels around the Playa del Carmen area. We barely used the pool since the beach was crystal clear! The hotel staff was eager to please and the entertainment staff is super friendly, they make an effort to learn your name. They took this low tourist season time to renovate the hotel which was nice. The hotel has a very "Mexican" feel to it! The food was not as great as the reviews say but that could be due to the lack of tourists due to swine flu scare. We definately did not go hungry and even gained weight! Everything is close by within the complex and a little walking proves to be great exercise. We really enjoyed the diversity of the people, lots of Europeans, Mexicans, and Americans. No one was drunk or obnoxious. Definately recommend this hotel!

"This hotel's awful. It was the worst experience ever. There were cockroaches and ants all over the room, which also smelled. The bathroom was VERY unsanitary and made us nauseous. The staff is extremely rude and not helpful at all. The food's re-used the next day and also very bad. It was the same thing all week. The beach is very beautiful but that is the only nice thing about it. We couldn't wait to leave Cancun. This hotel and its employees ruined our vacation. I would definitely NOT suggest staying here and wish I never had. "

I think we were the only people who spoke English, almost everyone seemed to be from Italy and I believe an Italian company owns the resort. The room was nice, but no fluffy pillows, bed was average in comfort. TV didnt operate properly as there was a long buzz noise every few seconds. Air conditioning did not work, we called and a repair person was there within a few hours and got it going. The pools were nice and so was the beach. A bit like clubmed but I suppose that is to be accepted at an all inclusive. The food was very good. Its nice if you are the type of person that likes to spend the majority of their vacation at the resort rather than out exploring.
