This hotel was very good. Our room was clean and well equipped with both a huge shower and bath. The bed was massive! The room was on the whole very quiet although some noise of people walking down the stone floored corridor was heard early in the morning. It was particularly useful to have free wireless internet. The hotel receptionists were very helpful and could speak English. The location of the hotel was great - close to the centre and close to lots of bars and cafes for breakfast and other meals. It is about 5 minutes walk from Anton Martin and Seville metro stations. We will stay here again.

We ended up staying in the same room we stayed in last fall, in the back corner of the hotel with 2 windows that let in great sunlight with a view of the roof tops of other buildings. Clean, quiet, superb a/c, great shower, big thick towels....everything you want in a fine hotel. The breakfast and staff are excellent! Our second stay was as good as the first.

Well-appointed (save the lobby) hotel in a great location a block from Palza Santa Ana. Asked about room availability and was moved to a large corner unit for no charge. Very happy.

Ideal location, lovely hotel, small bar but it was just off Santa Ana square so we walked everywhere. Most bars in Madrid still allow smoking which is hard to get used to and the tapas bars were packed

The hotel was newly-renovated (2006) and it showed.It looked impeccably maintained. I would recommend it without qualification. The only reason I would not give it a fifth star is because the room was a little small, just a double bed with a small sitting area, but this is a restored palacio and I'm sure they had limited space. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The Hotel is located in a great area near all touristic sites. Plaza Mayor, The palacio Real, museam Reina Sofia and the Retiro park al all within walking distance. The hotel itself has beautifull stylish rooms, very nice.
