All OK except that the hot water was dark brown and bathing in it was like being in a bath of beer!

Walked in, had been traveling all day. Went to the bathroom to find a dirty toilet...ruined my experience there, I was completely grossed out. After I got a new room...I started looking for a new hotel. You have to pay for the internet there. My second room had a great view of Gran Via. Hotel is in good location but not the safest but it's a city. I had been staying in hostels before this...I had a better experience in all of them! One plus they allowed me to store my bag there and one of the men were really nice and helped me with my bag. Great location to reach the metro!

Apart from the fact that the hotel is advertised as having air conditioning and they don't put it on it was fine. The breakfast was 2nd to none. If you get a room at the front it is noisey all day and night. the rooms are triple glazed but 6 lanes of traffic noise comes through. Staff were very good all round most speaking a little English. Ideal location for seeing everything that Madrid has to offer and that is plenty.

The hotel staff was coureous and helpful (for the most part), and the breakfasts were out-of-this world. Coffee excellent, eggs wonderful, etc.

Do not be under any illusions that this is a four star hotel , It isn't. Tired cracked marble corridors, seventies draylon sofas in the public areas outside the lifts, surly slow service at the front desk. Room safes are chargeable which I do not expect in a 4 star hotel these days, it is just skimming more money from guests. My room had not been made up at six o'clock PM on my return to the room after a day sightseeing. Despite informing reception it still had not been done at midnight when I returned again. You can get much better quality and value for money elsewhere. The only thing going for it is location.

The location is excellent, walking distance to all the sights. The location of the A. Gaudi hotel is excellent. The rooms are clean and air conditioned, and the beds were very comfortable. We checked in early, around 12.00 pm and they accommodated us without a fuss. We also requested a late checkout and were allowed to checkout at 1.30 pm without any extra fees. The hotel has a restaurant which we did not try but the prices seem very reasonable. We needed milk for our baby and they were happy to provide it for us. They do charge you 4 Euro a day to use the in-room safe.

Very nice stay at this 4 star hotel really very well located in the center of Madrid and everu touristic place is near by walking few minutes. I paid 59 euro with rates to Go which is a really good value for money. All the additionnal services are very expensive as the breakfast at 15 euros. I recommend to stay there but with a discounted price

Good central location with decent size and high standard room. Reception staff spoke good English. Across the road Vitamina is great value for breakfasts (3-4 Euros for toasted sandwiches or bacon and eggs plus tea or coffee) if not included

Super friendly & accomodating staff. Central location in safe locale without much noise; local shops, restaurants, etc. Airy rooms with fluffy towels and good cleanlines.

The rooms were stuffy, the service poor and unsympathetic and the noise levels, rooms themselves and general attitude of the staff very poor.
