Great location with the benefit of a poolNice spacious rooms. Just of the the Catalunya square of perfect location slap bang in the center of Barcelona. Nice, quiet hotel with modern refurbished interior. The original tiled entrance and etched glass panels have been preserved, as well as marble starcase. The frontage of building was behind scaffold when we stayed so this was a slight disapointment. Mostly twin rooms, not doubles also slight disapointment. Fantastic advantage of an outdoor pool and nice bar - great for cooling off regularly in the Barcelona heat!

Do not come to Barcelona by car if you don’t have a parking space reserved for it! You cannot park anywhere during the day for more than two hours, except in one of the garages which are horribly expensive. And this is the biggest problem of this hotel. It does not have a parking. Otherwise… The hotel is in an old beautiful building and located perfectly, just around the corner from Plaza Catalunya. The room was very nice, spacious and it was kept extremely clean. Feel free to ask for a room facing the street as, even though Plaza Catalunya is around the corner, there is practically no noise at all. The pool is on the back side at the first floor, so the sun doesn’t reach it before 1 o’clock. It is also quite small. It looks more like a place where one can have a nice party. The staff was relatively friendly but I expected more. I did not eat at the hotel so I cannot comment that aspect. All in all, a pleasant stay. Barcelona was fantastic as always.

Hotel was close to the center of Barcelona including the shopping area. Hotel although clean and nicely appointed, does not have enough insulation to absorb the sound of doors closing or people walking and talking within your room floor.

The standard of accommodation was very good, however one area where they didn't impress was the customer service, the staff were very unwelcoming and cold. This didn't really affect our stay too much, it just created an unfriendly atmosphere.

Excellent location just at top Las Ramblas. Very helpful staff at reception. Selection at Breakfast quite good. Pool area quite small but beaches are close by anyway.

The Hotel is really perfectly placed for visiting Barcelona, or business trips. Just at the end of the Rambla and in front of the Catalonia Square, providing an easy access to the Aerobus <-> airport and the Metro. The breakfast buffet is definitely above average and include hot, cold, sweet and salty food. However, the hotel is oldish. the corridor's carpets would need refreshing, but the room's floor is in wood (or simili-) and therefore cleaner. The sanitaries are clean but yet again a little bit old. If you are unlucky to have noisy neighbours, I am close to be sure that it would ennoy you. I the price may vary a lot. (from 70ishEUR to 300 EUR), just depending on the visiting days.. So, for my own judgement, it is definitely a good deal bellow 100 EUR However, if you are looking for a Luxury palace, go and find something else.

Hotel was ideally situated a minute from La Rambla, yet not too noisy. Some guests in the hotel were slightly noisy, but obviously nothing to do with the hotel itself. The room was clean and attended to every day with the toiletries replenished every day. As I was travelling with my mum we went back to the hotel in the evening and there was only Sky News to watch on the t.v. there could have been a couple more English Channels, but not the be all and end all. The staff were pleasant enough although there could have been another person on reception at check out to help out. Didn't eat in the hotel, but the food and restaurant looked very nice. The Christmas decorations were very nice too! I'd certainly recommend the hotel to friends in the future as it is ideally situated.

This hotel has a modern feel and its pool and central location make it great for a mini break.
