Stag WeekendPerfect accomodation, amazing location and views. Amenities very close. Huge rooms in a beautiful old building. Really clean and well maintained. Recommend to large groups.

Castleview ApartmentsThe accomodation was very nice & very conveniently located. However, it is a top (4th) floor appartment with no elevator which makes luggage & children quite difficult. There is no parking permit & the closest long term parking is about a 10-15 minute walk. You can pay on the meter out the front (when there is space available) but you have to move your car every 3 hours & it costs £2 an hour. I would think for the full price per night (approx £500) that a parking permit should be available)

Good locationLocation and price were the key for me booking this apartment. We had 8 of us just needing a place to crash and this fitted the bill. Nice views and large rooms were a bonus. One toilet and one shower between us wasn't easy but we managed. Also plenty of hot water. No problems with management company who made things easy.

Castle ViewThe appartment is on the upper floor of a tenement building, the neighbouring private flats clearly have an issue with the noise of 'weekend renters' as there are posters asking to keep the noise to a minimum (fair enough) - you may wish to consider this if you are partying for the weekend. The terms and conditions are written in a very non customer friendly mannor and actually wound me up a little when I read them, the flagstone flooring is very uneaven as is the laminate flooring that has been layed. Check out is also at 10am (which is very early).Parking around the appartment is also very difficult and there is only street parking which is both expensive and limitted to three hours, there are parking wardens every where, they were seen by us to be waiting by cars for thier parking tickets to expire. Overall, for the cost of the accomodation, it represents value for money, though be aware of the neighbours and the parking restrictions

Excellent location and huge apartment.

The apartment we stayed in was at the top of 6 flights of stairs, so you need to be fit to get up there! Also, I expected four double rooms, but it was two bedrooms with four double beds, probably needs to be a bit clearer on the website. Great views, gorgeously appointed with original features, and the beds were very comfortable. The agents were very friendly and held onto our bags for us whilst we visited Edinburgh. Central location, highly recommend!

This is a nice apartment in a great location for shops, bars & restaurants. Its spacious with plenty of room in the bedrooms. There was 5 of us & ther was ample room. Would defiantly recommend to a friend.

Common parts of the appartment block are off putting at first but the appartment itself was adequately furnished

Have stayed in Serviced Apartments before and experienced much more quality feel, but was disappointed here. Felt quite studenty. Two big bedrooms with 4 beds in each room - great if there's loads of you wanting to stay together and not expecting 4/5 star. Not worth the cost.

The Apartment was great, clean, with a well equipped kitchen, large bedrooms, and a pleasant living/dining area, with a lovely view of the castle from the side of the bay window. We were warned in anticipation of the 6 flights of stairs (60+ steps) up to the appartment door and so were not at all dismayed when we were faced by these, although it was an effort to carry up the suitcases and baby!!!There was only one thing for us that was a major dissapointment which we were not pre-warned about. There is absolutely no free parking near the appartment. The parking out the front is free from 18.30-0830 but is then 1pound per 30 minutes. We contact the appartment company who's only advice was to drive the car around to the nearest NCP which charged 13 pounds for 9 hours, so we found ourselves paying for 2 hours out the front in the morning and then driving to the NCP and making sure we drove back at 6pm to catch a \"free space\" before they all filled up for the night.Of course if you are flying in or coming by train then this wouldn't be a problem for you, but it was annoying for us and meant we had to make sure we were back at the car at 5 - thereby cutting our days to a faily short 7 hours of sightseeing.Overall though we were happy and would recommend this place to anyone, unless they were driving because the 20 pounds per day we spent on parking would have got us into a hotel with it's own car park.

What a great stay we had, realy freindly very helpful staff when checking in we got checked in early as the apartment was available we had arrived even 1 hour earlier than we had expected .Apartment was fantastic, lovely big rooms, the livingroom even has the original stone floor and old stove in it...wow. We had a great view of George Street and the castle from our apartment.Lots of nice resturants and trendy bars close by, we could walk on to Princess Street in around a minute.Overall a great stay we will definatley be back and recommend this place to anyone who wishes to be in the heart of the city.

My friends and I were extremely disappointed with the accommodation. The long walk up a long and very filthy winding staircase didn't do much to make a good first impression. As we had an active two year old child with us, we were constantly having to watch out for her and lugging her stroller up and down the stairs wasn't an easy task either. The apartment appeared to be clean on the surface, but the wardrobes were dirty, as was the freezer and the windows too. The toilet light would not work properly and when it did switch on, it gave very little light. The oven would not switch on, therefore we weren't able to use it for cooking and the letting agents were of no use at all; providing no support and even hanging up on me a couple of times. One of the bedrooms had a faulty door and would not close, thus privacy was a problem. The windows were not child friendly at all, so though it was very hot while we were there, all windows had to remain shut, for fear of my friend's daughter having an accident. The TV too, was faulty. On a positive note, the location was pleasing as we were staying in the centre of the city with a lovely view of the castle. However the customer service was horrendous and we will never stay there when we visit Edinburgh again.

The apartment is in a perfect location for shopping in Edinburgh. The cleanliness of the stairwell was a bit off putting for a first impression and there was a smell of stale beer in the sittting room. I would not reccomend this apartment for the elderly or those who need wheelchair access as the stairs are quite steep.

Lots of room in this 2-bedroom apt though it was quite a hike up the 3 long flights! we enjoyed having a washing machine but a dryer would have been great too. Washcloths would also have been appreciated.

This apartment was in an excellent location, we had a view of the castle. The bedrooms were very large. The lounge room was excellent. The kitchen was very well equipped. There are great restaurants nearby and an excellent bar downstairs. The only concern is the number of steps to the apartment. There are no lifts and we were on the top floor. The staff were very helpful however in organising our luggage to the room.

Was very disappointed there was no tea or coffee in the apartment and we stayed for 3 night and the room was not serviced once.

Apartments were in a great location. Ideal for exploring the city. However being on the top floor meant alot of stairs to climb so wouldn't recommend to elderly or very young. The bannisters were a bit loose and spaces between to rails would mean a child could easily fall through. For visitors keen to explore and sample the nightlife they were in an unbeatable position

I was very impressed with the apartments, a would definately recommend them to friends and family, and would stay there again myself.

Directions provided for parking did not take into account the many changes in the streets of downtown Edinburgh and thus finding parking was difficult. The kitchen floor was dirty as were the stairs leading to the apartment. They were never cleaned for the duration of our stay. The maids said they were coming back to vacuum our apartment when we first arrived but never did.
