Spacious one and two bedroom condominium suites with full kitchens and balconies that overlook the water yet are within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Guest must check in at Castle Kaha Lani Resort,4460 Nehe Road, Lihue, HI 808-822-9331 Beginning March 15, 2009, Castle Resorts will provide mid-stay housekeeping service for stays that are 7 days or longer, which includes changing of linens and towels, vacuuming, and cleaning of bathrooms as well as kitchens.As a result, this properties will not be offering daily maid service in lieu of this mid-stay clean. Daily maid service will be honored for any reservations that are booked prior to March 15, 2009. Guests who are staying less than 7 days can purchase additional housekeeping services at nominal costs. Extra towels and amenities will be provided in each unit prior to check-in. Guests can request for replenishment of the bath amenities (shampoo, soap, toilet tissues) at any time without charge. There will be a small fee for the replacement of towels/linens.

Was very surprised at the great room, the staff at check-in and during the stay, and the ocean right out the patio door. It was a great place for the whole family and we would love to go back again in the future.

We couldn't have asked for more. The condo we rented for six days at the Lanikai Resort provided the nicest accommodations we've ever had. The beautiful two bedroom, two bath unit was tastefully decorated with a fabulous second floor view of the pool and beach - best of all, we usually had the pool and beach to ourselves. Rather than being right on a busy road like many of the hotels, the Lanikai is set back with a green buffer between it and the road, so there was no traffic noise. We were able to park our rental car right outside our room, rather than needing to hike to the hotel from the parking lot or use valet service (or pay to park) as is necessary at some hotels on the island. No elevator didn't bother us as we are capable of carrying suitcases up a flight of stairs; however, if that's a problem, I'd recommend a ground floor unit. Each unit is different since they are owned and rented by the owners, but we couldn't have been happier with the location.

We had a wonderful stay at Castle Lanikai. We arrived after office hours but there is a late check in box that makes it easy to check in even then. Office hours are only from 11-3 which we found we were never around during those hours. The room we stayed in was great! The view of the ocean was absolutely picture perfect. We had everything we needed in the unit to cook with, eat with and do laundry too. We even used the grill by the pool. The room was very clean and the grounds were very well kept also. The ocean could get a little rough for swimming with young children but the beach was great to walk on and there are swimming beaches very close by that are fit for the toddler age. Castle Lanikai has a great location kind of in the middle of everywhere you want to go. We had a great stay!

We stayed here with 5 adults and 1 child and had plenty of room. The place was very clean and had everything you needed for your stay. We did some grocery shopping and cooked some meals so as to save on food. There is a great bbq grill on site. Only complaint is it said there was a sofabed, which there wasn't, but there was a rollaway. I never did see tennis courts or hot tub either, and not sure what they mean by childrens activities because there were none of those either. The pool was great though and the grounds very well kept. You are also literaly on the beach which was wonderful. The location is great because you are about halfway on the island so it wasn't far to the North or West sides of the island. We were extremely happy with our stay here and will definitely stay again and recommend it to others!

Castle Lanikai was beautiful. The location was perfect, right in the middle of the island. We had easy access to everything, from shopping to eating to beaches within easy driving distances. Our room had a beautiful view of the ocean and was generally very quiet and peaceful. Our family of 5 fit very comfortably. If we are able to return to Kauai, we would definitely stay here. We had until 124--very modern and beautifully updated and comfortable.
