We have stayed at the Kiahuna plantation many times now. These are condos that are privately owned and then rented back out. Each one is different since they are all different owners. Every room is very close to a nice beach with a little wave action. It is a short walk from a protected beach that is good for the less experienced swimmer and also for some of the better snorkeling. The plantation is usually very quiet and has pretty gardens. The kitchen in every unit makes the vacation so much easier. We love to go out to restauarants but think it is a hassle to have to do this for every meal. A full sized coffee maker in the mornings is much better than being forced into a starbucks every morning. Nice lazy and relaxing mornings! This is not a 5 star resort but one we enjoy more than those. Plus, its far more cost effective.

Very peaceful and quiet. Bad traffic in and out of entrance, overpriced. It was a beautiful property.

I got to our hotel and was very suprised to see our view of the garden! It was beautiful. The room had its own kitchen, dining room, big bathroom, and living room! We were able to cook our own breakfast every morning in order to save some money! The hotel kitchen was fully furnished, pots, pans, silverwear, any thing you could think of! coffee maker, microwave, toaster, wine glasses, and a dishwasher and soap. It was awsome, it left nothing to be desired! We also loved the balcony. There was a very friendly staff to help answer any and all questions and suggestions about near by resturants. We also went to the pool across the street before leaving. we did not get to try the resturant on the plantation, but we did eat some of their dessert which was ok. I do wish that they would have had room service, and definitley a bar on the beach or near it with service. We just went over to the next door hotel and ordered from their bar! All in all i would highly recommend this hotel for the price and what you get for that price! I felt very at home, and the birds sounded beautiful in the morning. THe bed was also very comfortable!

The pool was across the street and down the road, and was closed when we tried to go.. The hours were terrible, since all day we would be at the beach.. Usually you'd like to go for a swim or in the jacuzzi after sun down, but you can't here. Also there are only screens and shutters on the doors and windows, so you can hear EVERYTHING.. not much for privacy. The room was clean, and the grounds were kept very nicely. It was a great value for the location and the restaurant was good.

Rooms by gardendeluxe have great view but close busy road at night not very noisy but once in a while you hear sirens. The room was comfortable except no room service and clean towels. You have to pay extra for fresh towels. The room is better than Partial ocean view rooms.

Location. pool off site long walk to beach. Outdated furniture no pool on site long walk to beach area bed about as comfortable as sleeping on floor.

The resort was excellent. It was quite, peaceful and surrounded by beautiful expansive lawns. Our unit that we were in, had a lanai that you can walk out from to the grounds. My son really enjoyed this.. every morning he sat outside looking at the birds and played ball in the afternoons. The unit we had was furnished well, had all the supplies we needed. The only thing I would have changed or wished we had was an A/C in the bedroom. Although the ceiling fan is adequate in the living room, you can't really leave the bedroom shutters open at night since we on the ground floor and didn't want other guests passing to see us sleeping. We'd stay here again for sure. Really loved it...

We were welcomed by a curteous staff and provided a clean, comfortable place to stay. We were happy with the services and the distance from the beach. Although, we did not have a chance to visit the pool, we were content with having poipu beach a hop, skip and a jump away. Relaxation was the key to a wonderful vacation.

We've stayed all over Kauai, this spot is ok. If you have small children that enjoy the pool everyday, this isn't the best spot. the Pool is located across the main road, very busy, you must cross with caution, it is a nice pool, with lots of rules. the beach during the summer is not safe for kids, high tides. You must drive to a more suitable beach. The cottages are not air conditioned, ours had outdated appliances few things worked well. You can hear all the conversations of those around you, since all have the windows open. There is a huge area for kids to play outside, bring a ball. or buy one when you get there. Try to get close to the ocean. If your on a budget then this works well, if you don't mind driving to beaches or taking a walk to reach one.

It is full furnished (including all kitchenware) and has large space, nice yard. The bathroom was not cleaned everyday. Overall, I like the hotel very much because it has such a big space which is not in my expectation. It has living room, kitchen, and bed room. It also has all kinds of kitchenware by which we can cook something instead of eating outside all the time.

The room we stayed in was fabulous. We were a stone throw away from the ocean. It was clean and well decorated. The staff were very nice and responsive. The only down side was the unit below us was under construction. Somedays the work started at 8am and went on until late evening.

Near beautiful beaches on south shore of Kauai No air conditioning, roosters crowing all night This well-equipped "condo" room was part of a huge resort with beach access on the south shore of Kauai near Poipu Beach (rated by the Travel Channel as a top ten in the world). It was a little tricky to find the check-in desk after dark, but the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Second floor accommodations, no elevator. No air conditioning which meant noise from neighbors (and roosters), but nice breezes, adequate ceiling fans, private back balcony. Would recommend.

We like our condo a lot, spacious, comfortable, just like a home away from our home. The cactus garden right outside our condo, the whole place has a wonderful ground. Our son loves the swimming-pool. The location is great, right next to Poipu beach.

Great suite, in a great location!! Many great restaurant near by - beach was a 5 min walk away! Too many mosquitos, our room was a garden view suite, and the farthest away from the beach

We arrived during a particularly hot/humid time of year only to find out that there was no air conditioning in these units, little breeze and the pool was across the highway from the plantation. Not an easy trip for kids to cross the road.

Beautiful , well kept grounds and gardens with mature trees, a nice beach and a great location in Poipu. Did not have a pool or refreshments (bar or grill) available on the grounds near the beach. Nice, spacious condominiums located in Poipu beach area, with beautiful, well kept tropical gardens and lawns.

The bungalows are nice and roomy and relatively up to date but since they are privately owned, can be very different from each other. My wife and I had tons of room because these are really suited for families or larger groups. No air can be a bummer if the nights are really humid which some of ours were. This was our third trip to the islands and we prefer Maui the best.
