Having already read some reviews on this accommodation, I can confirm that we were not disappointed. On the contrary, we were delighted - everything was working, it was cozy and warm, spotlessly clean and the beds were so comfortable! There was everything you could possibly need in the apartment (we could hardly believe that we got a local tv channel as well as many others) and the location was ideal - just a short walk from the centre with all the restaurants and the nightlife, without being annoyed by any noise. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. We only had to ask and it was done. We ended up staying an extra night because of the delay we experienced on the way over. This meant we had to change apartment for the last night (which was really very little inconvenience to us as we moved to the one downstairs) - the staff couldn't have been more helpful. They gave us plenty of time to move and were so courteous in their dealings with us. Then the owner decided that we didn't have to pay for the extra night after all - how hospitable was that? This seemed to be typical of the Icelandic people in general, - very friendly and helpful. During our stay we had a couple of excellent trips to see the waterfalls, volcanoes and geysers - the tour guide was excellent. It was expensive, but very worthwhile and as we were only there for a short visit, we didn't mind. We would certainly return to the Castle House apartments and would recommend them to anyone considering a trip to Iceland.

We just returned from a week in Reykjavik, and we loved our stay at the Castle House Apartments. The apartments are centrally located in a beautiful location (across from the pond), and are an easy walk to the center of town. They are very close to many restaurants and shops. There are bus stops nearby if you plan on using the public transportation. The apartments were very affordable and using the kitchen for breakfast really saved us some money, since eating out in Reykjavik is very expensive! Check-in was easy, and we were allowed to check-in early. This was nice since we arrived very early in the morning. Although the apartments are close to the town center, the location is very quiet. We stayed in apartments 50 & 62. Both apartments were very nice. Apartment 50 was larger, but apartment 62 had a nicer bathroom. Overall, this is an excellent place to stay. I would highly recommend these apartments to anyone staying in Reykjavik.

My family LOVED staying at the Embassy Apartments this June and we highly recommend these apartments to anyone headed to Reykjavik. . Overall, we could not have been happier with our choice of accomodations. It is a great choice for families or two couples. The living areas are spacious and well-appointed. The kitchen has all of the appliances and cookware that you would need even for a complicated meal.
