Location
Situated a few kilometres from the centre of Rome, this historic hotel is nestled into the green hills overlooking Veio Park. The city centre where guests will discover bars, restaurants and shopping venues is to be found 14 km away. Links to the public transport network are just 5 km away and the beach is 60 km from the hotel. Ciampino airport is just 50 km away and it is 40 km to Leonardo Da Vinci airport.
Facilities
Renovated in 2002, this hotel was originally built by the Cancellieri family around 1200 on the ruins of a Roman Villa and offers guests the greatest luxuries possible alongside artwork from the 16th century. The hotel comprises a total of 23 rooms of which 2 are suites. The lobby comprises a 24-hour reception, a currency exchange facility, a cloakroom and lifts. In addition to a cafe, this air-conditioned hotel includes a bar and La Locanda restaurant, which serves up typical Mediterranean cuisine where an emphasis is placed upon original Roman ingredients and a good wine menu. Furthermore, the hotel offers fully equipped conference facilities for small and large meetings (capacity of up to 400 people). The hotel is set amidst magnificent grounds with its own Italian garden, La Castelluccia. This is the ideal place for guests to relax whilst still only being a few miles from the Eternal City. Room and laundry services round off the hotel’s offerings and a car park is available for those arriving by car.
Rooms
Furnished with fine antique pieces dating back to the 15th to 19th centuries, the rooms are all different and bear of the name of the family who once lived here and some of their illustrious guests. Each of the rooms comes with an en suite bathroom with shower/bath, a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone and Internet access. A minibar and a double or king-sized bed also feature, and some rooms even include an original four-poster bed dating back to the 18th century. It is also not unusual to find a fresco in the guestrooms. Expensive marble and terracotta flooring help create a pleasant atmosphere along with the original materials. The careful combination of the materials avoids a contrast between old and new and seeks a homogeneous style even incorporating modern technology such as BOSE sound systems, Internet access and satellite TV. Individually controllable air conditioning and heating are also included in the rooms as standard. A balcony or terrace and a hire safe are also to be found in the rooms.

Guests may enjoy making use of the large outdoor swimming pool. How to get there
The hotel is located a few miles from the ring road of Rome close to Via Cassia in the North of Rome. A shuttle service is available on request to take guests to the nearest urban train station La Giustiniana and to the city centre.
