The Cascadia is in an excellent location within easy walking distance to the water taxi to Granville Island and to bus stops to other attractions downtown and in Stanley Park. It is convenient to a number of restaurants and even to a grocery store if you feel the need to cook. The hotel was quiet, but there was some street noise fairly late at night. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable with good beds, a sofa, and a kitchenette. The hotel is very conscientious about recycling. Staff were very helpful with questions about what to see and the best way to get there.

Excellent location, great amenities, spectacular complimentary breakfast, very friendly staff. Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, very accommodating staff and very practical and useful amenities too. Great pool! This is a great spot for any type of traveller, family, romantic, leisure or business travelers will find this place a wonderfully welcoming and pleasant place to stay!

The hotel experience was excellent, the staff was great..my friends and I walked to a nightclub 1 block away and it was raining we didnt bring umbrellas. The staff gave us umbrellas to use. The rooms were very clean and you had an amazing view of Downtown Vancouver. I will always stay at this hotel when I come to town

The hotel is located in the center of downtown... although it is older and the kitchen's need to be updated. The breakfast was really gross and there was absouluty NO hot water the morning we checked out. Great customer service when we checked in, although we requested 2 queen beds online and was give one queen and a sofa sleeper.

The location of the hotel is great!.. Walking distance from shopping and dining.. Very close to Robson Street and the main attractions. The staff was helpful and the room was huge (i got upgrade to a suite in the 16th floor), very clean and with balcony. The breakfast is good, i mean, not deluxe, but it is included in the rate and we enjoyed pancakes, French toast, eggs, etc... The only thing is that it is always very crowded, and sometimes the waiters rush you to leave the table, but again, for the price you cannot expect anything better than that ( at least in Vancouver) I recommend this hotel, and I would stay again without hesitation.

The hotel is located in the southwestern part of downtown Vancouver called "Yaletown". There are sushi restaurants on every street corner, as well as late-night pizza joints. My boyfriend and I were staying here for 3 days to attend a wedding, and it was great. Every Thursday, the hotel hosts a happy-hour in the cocktail lounge with free yummy appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks. There is also a free hot breakfast each morning that includes sausages, scrambled eggs, yogurt, fruit, bagels, english muffins, etc.-- a nice start to each day. The room itself had a complete mini-kitchen, including fridge, stove, oven, dishwasher, and all the kitchenware you would need to cook and eat your own meal-- very convenient! One of my favorite activities was going to the beach at the Spanish Banks, where the ground is so flat, the tide recedes about 50 yards during low-tide and you can walk for ages into the water and still have it only up to your knees! A great spot for skimboarders and children to play in shallow water. We were also able to pick-up a few fun volleyball games with the locals, who were amazingly friendly. Bocce ball was also a popular activity. Since Vancouver is so north, the sun sets very late during the summer, around 9:00 p.m., and lasts for an hour, giving you many hours of sunlight to play... and a majestic sunset to finish your day. Vancouver is awesome. :)

This hotel is in a great central location. Close to Granville Island, Robson shops, St.Paul's Hospital and the bus routes. It was great having a kitchen fully stocked with dishes, toaster, kettle. Very good full breakfast.Appreciated the security. Front desk was very helpful. Bed was very comfortable, shower was great, room was quiet. I would definitely stay again.

The hotel offered us a staff willing to help us in any way. They suggested places to go, booked trips, and answered any question we had.

Guest services at the front desk was wonderful.

The security is what shocked us the most. Led us to believe that the area was questionable. There were 2 sets of gates to the underground parking lot and you had to swipe your room key to access any required floor. There were no ""home-away-from-home"" feelings about this hotel. The room service could be improved the complimentary popcorn and the coffee filter was missing. It was ok for 1 night.

"Parking is very expensive, rooms located at lower floors can be noisy due to a club located behind the hotel"

The beds are so so comfortable. Noise level at night outside window to loud. The best thing is its location.

"For the price, this hotel offers exellent value for a business traveller, the rooms are large and spacious with sofa / table and kitchenette. The free hispeed Internet is reliable and a great bonus. I have stayed here twice already and will be staying here again this year."

The hot food in the breakfast was poor quality. The room was excellent with its mini kitchen feature and free internet. The pool and gym looked inviting.
