What are your breakfast options?: Breakfast is extensive Continental style, which means that ample cereal of many types, ample bread of many varieties for toast, black, green and herbal teas, instant and also Continental style coffee, fresh seasonal fruit, several varieties of fruit juice (orange, apple, etc), with seconds available at no extra charge. Breakfast is generally self-serve, although we do set it up if guests make a specific request for that. The advantage of self-serve is that guests may partake breakfast at a time to suit them with no need to pre-arrange it with us. We simply show them where everything is.
What transport is available to get around?: There is no railway station at Apollo Bay but there is a bus service from Geelong. Most visitors arrive by car, although some use the bus. Some visitors who plan bush walking trips have arranged to be picked up from Avalon Airport by a local person who has an 8 seater tourist registered vehicle. It is probably about $300 shared between about 6 - 8 adults. There is more than one local company that does this sort of thing on request.
What can I do nearby?: Attractions can be seasonal but bush walking is popular all year round. In the summer months swimming and surfing can be popular while joy rides on a light plane can be popular as the 12 apostles are only about 15 minutes away by aeroplane. There are also fishing and sightseeing boats in the area. There is an open air market on Saturday mornings and sometimes it is in a building in the winter months. There is a Music Festival in Apollo Bay in late March or early April and many other seasonal events, such as a Marathon foot race in the month of May, for example.
Do you have internet?: We have wireless Internet in the rooms, but no fixed wire service. At this stage the service is provided at no cost.
Do you provide parking?: There is free off street parking for guests at Casa Favilla, while there is no cost to park on the street outside as well.
