Casa Del Mar is one of only places that can truly get us to relax and unwind. The size of the hotel keeps the crowds small, while the condo development provides the size to give you all the amenities. In the years we have visited there has never been a crowd, always been perfect weather and the grounds are beautifully maintained. If you are looking for nightlife or a lively atmosphere this is not your place, if you are looking for a place to relax, read a book and have a cold drink by the pool this is a great place. The welcome Margarita is the perfect start to a relaxing trip.

This was the most relaxing and enjoyable vacation...the hotel staff was extremely attentive and friendly. Very clean and well appointed. The food was fabulous...the sea bass was to die for. Try dinning on the beach surrounded by torches and stars, amazing experience. We will be back!

This was a wonderful place to stay! It is a VERY quiet, relaxing hotel. The staff is very accommodating. The food was great also, expensive, but normal for the area. I would go back in a second!

This was the second visit to Cabo San Lucas for me and my sister. We stayed at a chain hotel the last time and decided we would prefer a smaller, less crowded hotel so we chose Casa Del Mar. The staff was very welcoming and the service was great all week and the food was very good. Our room was very pretty and had a great view of the hotel grounds and ocean. However, there happened to be a wedding the first weekend of our visit and the wedding party took over the whole hotel. The staff was very focused on the set-up for two days and did not have a lot of time for other guests. In addition, the wedding party was very loud and obnoxious, partying well into the night which kept us up. To add insult to injury, we had a family with a baby staying next door and we heard the baby crying at 5am every morning. My sister, being a seasoned traveler, decided that she did not think it was fair that we paid for a night considering we were miserable. She called to speak to the manager and met with him the last day. He apologized and offered free spa services but my sister declined and requested that one night be refunded. He obliged and offered to move us to another room. Unfortunately, the only other rooms had covered balconies and our room had a great balcony and we did not want to give this up so we stayed in our room. The only other issue is that they do not have shuttle service so we had to take a cab into Cabo or San Jose which ran 20-25 dollars each way. Overall, the hotel is very pretty and the staff is great. But don't assume that it will be quiet for there were several families with childern. I would stay there again if I knew a wedding was not happening the same time.

We had a truly wonderful and relaxing time. We did not want an exciting or busy experience; we went to relax and this was the perfect place to do so. Food expensive but very good; service personnel very helpful; beautiful grounds. Daily shuttle to Cabo very convenient.

While food is expensive, it is wonderful. For us, we needed quiet, relaxation, activity only when we wanted it...it was the perfect place! Staff/service was best ever; views, pools, ocean, none better; and, we live on the beach in Southern California! Would highly recommend this hotel above all others! Activities are there if wanted; we did not want!

One night stay and found it extremely relaxing. Since the hotel is quite small and a bit pricey there weren't many guests which made more relaxing. The hotel advertises the ratio of staff of 2 to 1, which is true, but I felt the service at poolside could be more attentive considering there were only 5 guests at the pool and 4 staff members. Highly recommend couple's massage on beach, did not enjoy coming back to spa facilities and finding the staff painting the jacuzzi room. Overall excellent experience with a peaceful night's rest on that luxurious bed.

If in love this is the place. Excellet staff. Candlelight ambiance at night classic relaxed hacienda quaintness in daylight. State of the art rooms - AC, ceilig fan, 40"" plasma TV, CD player, WIFI. Beautiful pools but we hung at the beach. Excellet beach and room service. Fell asleep and woke up to the sound of waves crashing with our balcony door open. Eat at the mesquitte grille on the beach for dinner - have the lobster! Understated, clean rooms - beautiful tile floors and showers. We would definitely go back in a heart beat.

Casa Del Mar is smaller and more intimate compared to the huge all-inclusives, and is geared for those who want to relax and have a more private vacation. My wife and I went during the off-season. It was very hot but the plus-side was that we had the hotel and all the services very much to ourselves. The staff was attentive and friendly and we came back home feeling very rejuvenated--something we didn't experience on previous vacations which were a greater whirlwind than our daily lives. Recommended.

"The pools were excellent, the service first rate. The Hotel is not a 5 star more a 3.5 star (compared to neighboring property) but still a great value. Drinks VERY expensive. No activities on property or music a pools but was good for a relaxing quiet time. Would recommend."
