The hotel was very nice - a great trip. The beach is not good for shelling but perfect for families with young children - very little wave action.

Beautiful hotel. Very chill and relaxing. There never seemed to be more than a dozen people there at any one time. The pool was absolutely great and the beach quiet and clean. There is no sort of night activities so if you are interested head to Coco Beach as Conde's bar closes around 10:30. The food at the Conde is reasonably priced and decent but not great. For great seafood go to Papagayo seafood in Coco Beach. It is a * round trip from the hotel or about a 15-20 car ride. Use the services of the tour people on site. They offer some really fun activities at reasonable prces.

This hotel is small. All rooms face the pool area. They play loud music all day long so there is no chance to rest at all. We complained but the staff didn't care. It was unbelievable when we received a call from the front desk asking us to lower the volume of the TV as the guest next to us complained about the noise...even though it was pretty low. This was our first time there and we will NEVER go back. Bad service, noisy place.....

Casa Conde Del Mar is a small (20 rooms) hotel on Playa Panama with an excellent restaurant. Very laid back and low key there is no pressure on the guests to do much of anything. THe staff is friendly and seem genuinely interested in making the guests feel welcome. Within easy driving distance of Coco Beach and Liberia the hotel is nicely situated, but still very private. The rooms, five groups of four rooms each, are comfortable with two queen size beds per room. The bathrooms have a generously sized shower stall and the vanity area is separate from the bathroom. Each room is supplied with a blow drier and iron and ironing board. Closet and dresser space is quite good. The hotel grounds are nicely planted and cultivated. An ideal low key no-pressure Central American get-away spot.

If you are assigned to rooms 601-606 ask for another room ! Our room(601) smelled of damp musty towels.The shower was broken,the clock radio did not work,only one light worked.You get the picture.After we were moved to a different room ,a very beautiful room ,things could not have been better.My wife and I have travled to many,many countries;the STAFF at Casa Conde is the BEST!! without a doubt.I think the food in the main dinning room is over priced for what you are served.The wine is grossly overpriced, $38.00 for what was offer. The pool is huge and great. We hope to return next year.

Very nice hotel and friendly staff. Rooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly. The kids were excited every afternoon to see what the housekeepers made out of the towels on the beds. The pool was clean and the beach was quiet. We stay at the Diria in Tamarindo most of the time and this hotel was as nice but out of the way and much cheaper. The front desk staff was very courtious and helpful with all questions and concerns we had. (also internet was free) Had a great experience!

A quiet, beautiful, perfectly maintained small resort. Best-suited to travelers looking for tranquility and charm. When we wanted activities, the Resort tour company was very friendly and helpful and went the extra mile to meet our needs. Also, one of the few resorts that was actually beachfront, we had a gorgeous view of the Pacific with a huge pool complex in the foreground. Altogether perfect!

I've stayed in many hotels in the Liberia area, and this is the best. You can pay more but you won't get a nicer place in Northwest Costa Rica. It's right on the beach, and though it's not my favorite beach, it's a beautiful facility and close to many recreational areas. It's quiet and very well kept. You won't be disappointed.
