I was really happy with my stay. The owners were very friendly and helpful, the accomodation was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was excellent. Would certainly stay again.

What a pleasant guest houseStayed at the guest house for one night. Received a very warm welcome from the owners who did everything they could ro help. I was leaving early in the morning and couldn't have breakfast so there was a breakfast tray supplied of cerial orange juice and fruit. The milk and orange juice were put into flasks to keep cold. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Would recommend his guest house to anyone. Thank you for a pleasant stay, will book again on my return

A little Gem!What a lovely find, only staying one night but clean, comfortable and close to the sea. Anthony and Helen the proprieters were genuinely welcoming and helpful and their lovely cooked breakfast was an added pleasure.

very clean comfy room,lots of tea and coffee in room.although we didnt have an evening meal another guest recomended it, the breakfast was lovely,the hosts could not do enough for you.the bathroom was a little small when using the toilet some people may struggle but we found it ok.the shower was lovely and hot and again very clean.it is a two minute walk to the beach but very quiet.

Book this B&B !I stayed for 2 nights with my wife and our 2 year old and had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. Helen and Anthony were very nice, cooked an excellent breakfast and were fantastic with our daughter. The room was comfortable and clean, had en suite with shower and had TV.The location is ideal for the beach (about 200 yds), has nearby parking in multi storey (£7/day) and has a couple of decent family friendly pubs at the end of the quiet road.There are a million B&B's in Devon but i would use this one again and again as I couldn't fault it and it is ideally placed to plan day trips further into Devon or Cornwall

Great Family Hotel We stayed in the Carrington 16th April in a family room. We were taking away our 2 young children - aged 4 and 7. We booked the Carrington as they had a room which would sleep all 4 of us which can be difficult to find. On arrival we received a lovely warm welcome - and when we were shown to our room it was apparent they put a lot of effort into the little touches - there were bunk beds in our room which both had little easter eggs on for our children, and we had chocolates by our bed. There was an up to date flat screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Toiletries were provided and the hand wash, soap etc were all really high quality which was lovely. The room was newly decorated and immaculately clean. The full english breakfast was lovely and we were offered more if we wanted! Nothing was too much trouble and we were offered advice on where was good to take the kids. The hotel was perfectly situated just off the seafront and we could park outside. all in all a good hotel to stay - highly reccommended!!

Friendly atmosphere, excellent location for a stay.Excellent location for a stay in Torbay. Breakfast very good, and very good and helpfull proprietors. Guest House is close to Beach, Shops, Cinemas, Steam Train, Buses and Trains. Rooms clean and well decorated. Digital T.V a bonus. Car parking on the street difficult, but a council car park only 50 meters away.

I booked at short notice and telephoned to say I would be late arriving (10.30 ish) Tony could not have been more helpful. A nice room, small (for one) but it had everything including a good shower. Service and breakefast were excellent. I will go back again if in the area.

Room has been recently refurbished to a high standard. Wireless internet access and freeview digital TV very good. The only thing I would recommend would be a new door to the room as it does not look very inviting from the outside; other than that an excellant standard of accomodation and high level of service.

This was my second stay at this guest house, and it was still as good as the previous visit in September 2007. The welcome was genuine and warm, the house is very clean and the room I was in was excellent, containing hospitality tray, local information folder and colour tv with freeview [nice to have more than the basic 5 channels to watch]. Breakfast excellent, will definitely return.

Breakfast was excellent - full English and cooked absolutely right! Room was smallish but could not have wished for anything extra - a lot of thought had gone into its furnishing and fitments. Brilliant shower. Very clean. !00% IF the bed had been a little more comfortable. A bit too 'springy' for me.
