My husband and son (8 yrs old) were traveling for a working vacation. An indoor swimming pool, and a room with microwave and fridge were necessary ammeneties for us. Got those three at this hotel. But also got a room with dirty carpet, blankets with an unknown substance on it (DNA material??), and wires hanging out of the wall where the smoke detector should have been. Usually, I do yoga in the AM and PM, but didn't dare get my face close the the floor. Breakfast was down a dark hall in a dark room. Plates were dirty, food was cold and not-too-plentiful. We are seasoned hotel-stayers, and this was one of the most disappointing.

Our first room had the headboard ripped off and the TV on the fritz. When I called them, they moved us to a different room, but didn't offer to help with our bags, which we were obviously struggling with. The front desk was often unstaffed and the breakfast area was not ready at 7 am when it was supposed to start. And directions to the place via phone were incomprehensible.

Nothing. Everything. It was dirty the people did not speak good English it stunk there was mildew on the shower curtains, the grout in the shower was dirty.

This hotel was virtually empty. Though considered to be a good hotel it had no signs of being such. The room had paint peeling off the ceiling. There was rust around the sink. When management was needed, they were nowhere to be seen. In a 5-story building there were only 2 other people staying there, that is other than the people running the hotel. The breakfast buffet was limited and what was there was stale and disappointing. Perhaps new management is trying but they certainly have a long way to go to be considered a 3-4 star quality hotel.

First room was hot, no working AC. Got moved to another room, window was open and took 8 hours to get room to 75 degrees. No resturant as advertised. Too long to check in with advanced registration. Not a 3 star more like a 1 star.

The air conditioning was off in the room I was given. After I turned it on full blast, the room was livable. I also found the corridors very warm. There was no hotel information packages provided letting guests know where ice and vending was available. Neither was there any information about computer access provided. I won't use it when I return to Omaha.

Pretty quiet. It was a non smoking room and it smelled like smoke and pets. The hotel wasn't bad it was just that it smelled like smoke and pets when it was a non smoking room. The carpets had stains in it in the hall way. Other than that it was a nice hotel.

The hotel staff were pleasent and the service was fair. The one major issues had to do with other guests. There were children running around being loud climbing on furniture and work out equipment. Simply someone should have said something. The room was clean but the bathroom could use a tille more attention. The shower curtain should have been replaced there were holes and mold on it and the fixing of the ceiling should have been done with less haste. The hotel had changed from the Clairion I'm assuming within the last year or so and I'm sure that the new owners simply have not had the means to make all the upgrades. The pool hadn't been cleaned since spring I'm sure and the hot tub I wouldn't touch. The beds were wonderful. If I hadn't been so worried about the rest of my say (business) I would have slept like a baby. I would recommend this hotel. The price is fair, the staf polite, and for a nights stay it serves it's purpose.

The staff was generally unfriendly and rude. They seemed very "fly by the seat of your pants" types. We waited in the lobby for about 25 minutes, ended up having to call the hotel on our cell phone to get someone to come down to check us in. There was mold in the bathrooms and the breakfast was horrible. They attempted to make eggs but they were cold and had more shell than egg in them.

The staff was very friendly. The room and bed were average, but I would likely stay there again.

Nothing! Seems to lack financial backing. Barely existent. Lacks cleanliness. I would not recommend this hotel. It is poorly run, rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis, and it seems to be run by owners with no financial backing. They just barely exist. Major renovations and infusion of capital is needed to bring this hotel up to a reasonable standard. I would never consider staying here again.

My husband and I checked into this 6 story hotel, there were two cars in the parking lot. The restaurant is closed and there are no food facilities. The pool was scary, and one of the whirlpools was an empty hole. The treadmills in the fitness room were a joke. Our room was dingy and smelled. The hotel was cold (so cold that I was freezing wearing a turtleneck & a polar fleece vest) even after we left the heat on high. We came back 4 hours later and still there were no cars in the parking lot. For all of the above reasons we left. Do not book this hotel, try ANY other.

When I got there, I was amazed on how beautiful the front lobby was. But something caught my ear. It seemed to manager was yelling at the clerk and not handling his job just the right way. But I blew it off as nothing. My wife and I checked in and then went straight to the pool. Thats when I got a little concerned. The pool was only 12 feet wide and about 20 feet long. We entered to pool on the 3 foot side and noticed that just after 4 feet, it dropped to 7 feet! This would definatly scare a child. Soon enough, some children came down to the pool and started swimming. That little concern turned into a big CONCERN. Two of the children started walking in the pool towards the drop to 7 feet. And of course they got scared and couldn't swim! My wife and I were in the other side of the pool (the deep end) and swam toward them to save them. We got them out of the water and after a few moments they were ok, but still scared to what happend. Long story short there should of been a rope tide off in the pool. I dried off and looked for a rope that the hotel would use. But could not find any. I went to the front desk to ask, but they said they had one but didn't have enough time to put it in the pool. I offered to do it myself but they denied and said they would do it. My wife went out to eat that night came back and went to bed. When we checked out in the morning, I went back to the pool to see if they did put the rope on. It was not. I stormed back to the front desk and told them "You need to put that rope in the pool now!" The manager still said that they will when they get time and I shouldn't worry about this. I then got a little louder and said; "Then you WILL be hearing from an OSHA(safety) inspector" and walked out! They could have saved a lot of time and frustration to just put that darn rope on in the first place.

Traveled for the College world series. The hotel was dirty, front desk needs social skills.

As checking in the service was good (with a little trouble understanding them), but they were friendly. While there we never ordered any room service. I went down the first night to get a pillow and extra blanket and the front desk man called my room and handed me the phone, not knowing who I was talking to luckily my boyfriend anwsered and I had to ask him if they were under the tv in a drawer, and I told the guy to the begin with (not American). I finally recieved them after all the confusion. The pool: freezing, not heated at all! Colder than bath water, and lots of people. Which we found VERY confusing, freezing water and people swimming, the jaquzzi was nasty, dirt all over the bottom floor. Nobody was at the desk for check out we just left our keys at the note, which I thought was odd. Comftorable bed, overall ok, not great not horrible, good service if could understand, next time in Omaha would probaly stay somewhere else.

Everything was very nice. Except the fitness room was dusty and dirty. Pool was very clean. Room was EXCELLENT. An earlier check in time would be great, 3 PM is a little late.

It had a rudimentary gym facility. It had a mildew shower curtain. Staff members seem to have other cultural backgrounds than the general U.S. They did not seem to "schmooze" with customers.

Clarino Hotel Omaha is the best hotel in Omaha for the money. Their beds are pillow top and comfortable. They have FREE high speed internet as compared with other hotels that charge up to $ per night. They have a great hot breakfast...for FREE, and a lot more. I read some of the other reviews and frankly think those people had other problems, this hotel is one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in and well worth the money. I travel over 30 nights a year and when I am in Omaha I will always stay at this hotel from now on.
