roomsthe bath room was small,extractor fan in bathroom was very noisy,as were other extractor fans in other rooms as we could hear them, The hotel was very clean and the people there were very friendly and helpful

a cheap night recommended at this hotel the budget rooms were a bit out dated and small but with renovation happening throughout this hotel I will be visiting again for future business trips

Carnmarth Hotel well worth a visitFantastic views from the terrace one of the best in Newuay. A very friendly family run hotel staff were very accommodating. We had dinner on our last night on the terrace it was exceptionally good very big portions good value for money. The budget rooms are slightly 'small but clean, but we were out most of the day so didn't really matter. Only negative comment on rooms there were no phones in the room. Would definatley stay here again but not in high season as would be far too busy.

Excellent ValuePleasantly surprised by this hotel, we were greeted by friendly staff, our room was comfortable and had everything you could need, nice and clean. Breakfast was really good. Only problem could see would be parking during busy periods but otherwise very good value for money.

tside appearence very welcoming. Nice ground floor with bar/ restaurant area & dining room which we used for breakfast. The landing and stairs are in the process of being upgraded. We had a de-luxe room with a balcony which was fine. Our son had a single room at the back which was a little pokey. But a £ 40 for a single with breakfast you can`t complain.The hotel was in a good location, on the edge of town. We had a very good meal at Senor Dicks Mexican Restaurant. If you want a good night out go to the Red Lion on a friday night for some brilliant live music with a great atmosphere. The locals make you more than welcome.

Me and my boyfriend spent a long weekend in Cornwall for our anniversary so we wanted to stay in a nice hotel for our first night.We found the hotel very easily with all the sign posts on the road. Parking was a bit tricky as the car park was full but the receptionnist offered us a parking space at the next building which was very convenient.The staff overall was very helpfull and friendly and we were completely blown away by our room with a big window overlooking the fistral beach !The location is just perfect as it is near the beach and about 10mn walk from the town centre.Breakfast was really good and filling for a long day on the beach.Didnt try out the bar and restaurant but it looks really good.Only thing I got to say is the shower, it wasnt powerfull at all, took me ages to wash my hair ! Other than that, the hotel is spot on.Will most definately go back to this charming hotel.

Cracking Location and Staff - the bar & food was great too - could do with a bit of works on the rooms but not far off.

The hotel is in a wonderful location and is clearly undergoing some updating at prsent, that said it is the bar and restaurant that had been updated and looked fabulous although the rooms have yet to be spruced up. The original electric goods from the early 80s remain and could easily be improved so that a TV with a remote and a more modern kettle and hairdryer are in place. The rooms were clean but didn't fall in to the category i would expect at that price. However i did spot a room that had been redecorated and it looked superb so i imagine this hotel will be fantastic soon. The views are fantastic and the bar staff were really lovely and helpful. Unfortunately the breakfast staff were the opposite. The breakfast was great but it would be better to have a pot of tea or coffee and not have to battle with a machine which my mother was unable to work and it meant we had to get up over and over again to fill the small cups. The thing that we couldn't work out was which age group the hotel was targeting, its not the old and its not families but i guess everyone else will fit in. Overall i thought the hotel was comfortable but needing a bit of TLC to bring it up to the standard it aspires to. The food was great and the views and access to the beach and headland walks weregreat.
