Lovely peacful location. Excellent continental breakfast. Check the clerk, was not very informative.

I was surprised to find out that the inn is composed of separate little buildings/cabins. You park your car directly in front of your cabin front door. The inn and neighborhood is very quite. The staff were very friendly, they even upgraded us to a better suite for the same price.

bed was uncomfortable. bathroom repair work was messy. general feeling of an old facility.

It was cold in the room. Instructions for operating the fireplace were confusing. Staff said they'd come to show us how to use it, but never did. We eventually figured out it was a gas fireplace even though the sign on it instructed us to use 'paper wrap logs' only. The wall thermostat seemed to have some relationship to the fireplace, but didn't work in the expected way. The concept of many small cottages placed in a garden was nice. I wonder of any of the other cabins were brighter inside. Ours had only one window. Actually 2 if you count the bathroom.

Our stay was great! Staff very helpful, gave us a map when we arrived of the city of Carmel. Gave us great directions. Our room was very clean, area very quiet. I liked that we had assigned parking spaces. Fireplace was very romantic. We plan on going back in February!

Nice location but the heating system quit working twice. Second time was in the middle of the night with no help available. Bed matress was old and saggy. The whole place needs an upgrade. Nice breakfast baskets but how about a spoon to eat the yogurt.

I loved the surroundings! The cottages were so cute, romantic and very comfortable. It's was ashame I was on business. You can't beat the rate. I will surely return and stay.. this time for personal fun. Thank you!!!

The Carmel Resort Inn is comfortable. Great location a short drive away from downtown Carmel In the morning the Staff spent some time calling Monterey visitor center to figure out if it was Monarch season yet.

We stayed in these cottages on our honeymoon 27 years ago and then for our 27th anniversary. Nothing has really changed much, but we had a real fireplace 27 years ago compared to an electric heater that looked like a fireplace this time. It was comfortable and clean. A little small but still nice enough.

Check in was perfect, the desk staff helped us figure out where to get food and wood for a dinner, and fire on the beach. After a quiet evening watching the sunset, back to the resort and into the spa with our good friends. The rooms were clean quiet and had romantic fireplaces. We will return.

Great hosts. Good company at breakfast. Good location. Room very quaint. Good access to downtown and beach and Pebble Beach.

Comfortable and relaxing setting amidst quiet residential neighborhood, however rather pricey for a complex that is clean but showing its age. Continental breakfast ran out of food. Downtown Carmel is but a 15-20 minute stroll away.

Having lived in Carmel for 20 years, we were very happy to be able to stay at the Carmel Resort Inn. The cottages were spacious and comfortable with quaint shutters on windows and Carmel charm. The bathroom was okay . . . little trouble with hot water in the morning when the property was full. It was a great location and excellent value for the money. Nice to have a frig and microwave in the room. Great parking! Breakfast was very so so. Fortunately close location to many restaruants and Whole Foods was close enough, by car, so that we could get many fresh items and re-heat in room.

Accommodations were very rustic but extremely quaint. It served our purposes ideally in providing us a place to sleep. With so much to see and do in the area who wants to spend time in a hotel room anyway?

The hotel is located on a busy truck rte. We heard delivery trucks and cars. I think for this inconvience the price was a little high. The room was clean. The beds were confortable.

We never stayed in a cabin on our previous vacations to Carmel, so we did not know what to expect. Well, we were pleasantly surprised. Well done, well maintained, and clean accomodatons awaited us. Even though the resort was full, we hardly knew anyone else was staying there it was so quiet. The management was really helpful when we asked if we could extend our stay another night. We had to switch cabins, which was no big deal, but we got our extra night. We highly recommend this place

The Carmel Resort Inn is a simple but well maintained propoerty located within 5-6 blocks of downtown Carmel. The room was clean as was the bathroom. House staff were timely and efficient. My only critique was that the sink was located in the middle of the room rathern than in or immediately next to the bathroom. Other than that the rooms and facility were very good and we would stay there again.
