This is the first time I go up north towards the San Jose area and Carlyle Hotel was in the appropriate distance for what I had planned for the weekend. I been in several hotels and Carlyle has been one of the cleanest and very quiet hotel to rest, my wife and I enjoyed our stay and we will defenitely go back.

Easy access to freeway. Very unhelpful. Noisy, not private, windows close to main street. Not helpful.

Booked 2 nights through online travel website and was charged upon reservation completion. Carlyle charged me an additional $*** after check-out even though my reservation was already paid in full. Called hotel and they were rude and refused to credit my account. Was told it was my problem and to take it up with online travel website. Bad customer service. Continental breakfast was lousy.

I stayed all over the place in Valley, but this stood out because of only one reason. Centerally located and great price. I stayed in a room with comfortable beds and quite cooling unit. I paid for nothing extra, everything was included in the price. The biggest plus was for a business traveler its important for the internet to work and it worked with a problem. I now am a weekly guest and everyone knows me, which makes it feel safe and confortable.

Check in was simple. I was staying alone and felt very safe. Very easy to get on freeway from hotel location. Close to lots of stuff. Very clean room. Room was a bit noisy with traffic since room overlooked a major intersection.

I can't it was not a good stay. I didn't like that I booked my room almost a week in advance and was stuck in a smoking room. The parking lot was to be under 24 hour surveillance's, but our truck was broken into and there was no camera to support evidence of whom to blame for breaking and entering.

Hotel is older and was once elegant in its day but is now a little rough around the edges. Lots of antiques, high ceilings, etc. Rooms were clean and included a small fridge. Bed had a foam rubber mattress that sagged on one side but was not really uncomfortable. Parking is in an underground garage with an elevator to the hotel rooms. Building is right next to the freeway but was not noisy inside. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had two rooms and one of the room keys did not work. Had to take it back twice and they replaced it the third trip to the front desk. Rate included breakfast which consisted of cereal, coffee, juice, and fruit. Were warning signs not to take food up to the rooms. We would stay there again for one or two nights as hotel rooms are very expensive in the Campbell area and this one is worth the money.

I expected something entirely different when I pulled up to this hotel. From the outside, it looks like an average hotel. But, the inside it beautiful, check in and check out was fast and efficient. The rooms were very comfortable, spacious. Double shower in the bathroom. Free breakfast. If I were ever to stay in Campbell or San Jose again, I would choose this hotel first. My fiance? is very picky about cleanliness and neatness and would not stay in hotel that was dirty. She was very pleased with our hotel and the staff. Also, underground parking is a GREAT bonus. For what I paid, I got a great amount. I will be back. I recommend that you the Carlyle hotel the next time your in town.

The Carlyle Hotel was confortable. The room was clean and was large enough to hold a television in a armour, a lounge chair with ottoman, and a desk with another chair. I would have liked to have a microwave and real cups and more cream for the coffee that they offered. The parking area was on the street level and was well lit. The hotel offers a continental breakfast and wake up calls. I was disappointed in the breakfast for several reasons (coffee and juice was too weak, not much to offer),I would have liked to sse more variety in the breakfast. The eating area itself is quite quaint and very relaxing.

Well decorated. Could not accommodate 3 persons in one room as promised and billed. The hotel was fine. The hotel could not accommodate, so I paid for a second room and the extra guest fee. I called you customer support and was told to bad. I will not be using your service again.

the building from outside looks like dump, but, once inside it's greatvery good european style hotel.hotel is very smaal compare to other hotels, but that the best part. it's not crowded.the rooms are furnished very nice. the beds are excellent

this is a good hotel if you do not need any amenities. This is a place to sleep and have a fast breakfast and go about your business for the trip. It is not a place to stay if you have leisure time to spend at the hotel.

Clean. ACdidn't work, nor plumbing. The desk clerk was bitchy and the a/c didn't work. The toilet broke at precisely the wrong time, as if any time isn't wrong. They did move us to a better room after one night. There the refrigerator door fell off. But it was very clean and convenient for the south side of San Jose.
