GeneralNice clean room, reasonably spacious. The floorboards on Block B creak a lot, I wouldn't hold that against them though. Also, in my time I've definitely seen bigger double beds.Plenty of parking at this location, and only a quick taxi trip into the City centre if you're going for drinks or anything. Taxi driver charged a tenner for our trip in, which I know for a fact is a scandalous charge for the distance we travelled. Breakfast is decent, although its a bit like a cattle mart there at times if the numbers all converge at the same time. Overall, a pretty good hotel which excels at being competent without ever threatening to become exceptional.

Days of conflict with Group ToursThe Hotel location, layout, facilities, rooms, bar and overall atmosphere was great. However joining a queue for breakfast is a nightmare. Days concentrate for the large group (Italian, German, French, Japanese) bus tours and it seemed like they could not be beaten to be first at the buffet breakfast table. With an average 4 to 6 buses each day we unsuccessfully tried all tactics from 630am to 930am to get served in peace. At night after a hard days work the wonderful open concept of bar and restaurant was fraught with rules and regs with allocated sectors for drinkers and diners. The early closing of bar meals at 830pm does not work. Clearly the staff do not believe so as it was suggested that we order room service and then bring the food to the seating area. Not the hotel if you are on a business timeline or needing to relax. Next time if we want to join a tour club crowd it will be at Butlins.

Avoid the bar food but otherwise a great hotel.Overall, this is a comfortable, clean and friendly hotel in a great location.Only problem I had was with the barfood. Quality wasn't up to much and the barfood service is run along the lines of what you'd expect from your local council - ie, lots of silly rules. For example, you're not actually 'allowed' eat your barfood in the bar, instead you're shunted off to an elevated platform in the bar area and under no circumstances are you allowed eat elsewhere in the bar area. This is a faff, as you find that you've to leave your comfortable seat, which is of course gone by the time you get back from eating your fairly unexciting bar food.Another gripe, is that barfood service ends promptly at 9,00pm even though you might be midway through your meal. When I tried to order another sandwich, I was told as it was after 9pm, it couldn't be done. But I was advised that if I returned to my room, I could place an order via room service and have the sandwich delivered to the bar area...This is the sort of service you come to expect from your local council, not a quality hotel.Other than that, it's a great hotel, I'd stay there again, although evening meals would be elsewhere.

Room incl. Single and Double Bed, room was spacious enough. Excellent service by hotel staff. Bar very good for a quiet drink at night and to watch matches in the evening. Food in the Hotel Restaurant was excellent and delicious. Very good value for money! Will definitely return!Leisure Centre has a fabulous swimming pool!

paid a little bit more than I normally would for a hotel, bill was 300 euro for two nights, but it was a busy weekend so I can understand why prices were a bit more than normal. room was a double but also had a single bed.

Overall this hotel is Good value for money. It's a good location 15 minutes walk to the city centre. Restaurant menu could have been a little broader in content and there should be a facility for early breakfast - I had to leave earlier than anticipated on the final morning of my stay and despite requesting somthing to be provided there was no breakfast available. The rooms are spacious and very clean, beds are comfortable too.

It is handy for those who have transport as it was a little further out of the centre than I had expected. Unfortunately sound seemed to carry quite well across the rooms on an evening, but rooms were well furnished and modern.

A well run hotel, our accom was very good, clean. Ideal hotel for famlies with kids. But was far too busy and the public areas too noisy for old and miserable people like us.

This was my first stay at the Days Inn Galway. I've been to Galway numerous times, and usually stay at the Marriott, but that was fully booked. Having read positive reviews about the Day's i thought I'd give it a try. It's a 3 star hotel and genuinely without wishing to sound arrogant, it shows. There's no doubting that the hotel was clean and that is one of the main things for me, however I found the receptionist a little rude in the sense that whilst dealing with me she was having to answer the phone and do other things, and the restaurant staff at breakfast were quite brash. In fact one was talking with another about her recent holidays, hardly a professional attitude in front of guests. Breakfast was all self service, i mean everything, you pour your coffee, make your toast etc. It was the usual affair, pasteries, cooked. Nothing special but a reasonable start to the day. Don't expect any attention from the staff, it seems they are there to give you a table and clear the tables only. The hotel is very large, and that is the one thing that puts me off staying again, there were 4 coaches of german and spanish tourists at the time I was there. Obviously I have no problem with that!! But, the hotel was absolutely PACKED! in the evening the bar area was just heaving, and we ended up sitting in the hotel lobby with others. The noise is relentless, so this really is a hotel to be avoided for a relaxed atmosphere and you certainly don't feel like you're in Ireland. The Bar staff were very good and promptly served us, in fact I think they were the best staff at the hotel. Like i say, the hotel is very big and divided into room blocks, A, B, C, D - sounds more like a camp. The hotel numering is in the thousands 3174 etc, not that it has thousands of rooms!. The glass in the elevator was smashed and it is quite a walk through the maze of corridors to get to the room. The absolute worst thing was the corridor outside my rooms, it sounded like i was walking in a prefab buildi

Only issue was that I arrived late (10.00 pm) and was unable to have a snack in the bar / restaurant - although room service was available.

Breakfast was very good. Evening menu was limited in choice and quality and overpriced . Room was generally good but let down by poor quality duvets and pillows - compared to Bewleys in Dublin. Room for improvement in this price range.

I stay here regularly on business, easy to get to, convenient location, rooms are a good standard, food is fine in bar fair at breakfast buffet but if here make sure you have a dinner in the adjacent Orchid, under seperate ownership and superb food. leasure centre is fairly good, good selection of equipment in the gym, decent changing rooms and the pool etc are clean. If you are a business traveler like me then don't ask for corporate or business rate, check out late rooms first, it is cheaper!

I had to book a hotel in Galway at the last minute due to a family emergency. The hotel is located on the ring road and is easy to get to by plugging Dublin Road into the sat nav. There's plenty of car parking and with city centre parking so bad I just left the car there and got a taxi into the city for less than €10. Taxis usually arrive within a couple of minutes of being called. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The bar food and breakfast is fine and the service is good. The gym looks good but I personally wasn't able to use it during my stay.
