I liked being able to walk to the beach. there were 2 restuarants at the resort. the Daily News Cafe had excelent cinamon rolls.

We have been coming to Carlsbad for 3 years and each year we come to Carlsbad Beach Inn. This place is so perfect for families. You will not want to miss all the activities this place has to offer. Once you park your car, you will not have to use it again! Everything is within walking distance.

Unbeatable location-can walk to the beach, great restaurants nearby, and shopping which is very convenient when traveling with an infant. Friendly front desk service. Family friendly amenities: kiddie pool, central grassy lawn area, small jungle gym area, delivered a pack and play, and bikes and joggers are available for a 2 hour time span, perfect for beachfront touring. Free parking!

We really enjoyed this hotel. It is within walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. It has a spa for small children (our children loved it!). The beds were very comfortable.

Stayed in 1 bed condo. Good: Service was helpful and curtious, very short walk to beach, near-by restaurants, ocean view, beds comfortable, rooms were clean. Bad: bathroom was gross (floor coming up, tile grout brown), couch had stains, outside was covered in cobwebs, electronics & appliances are 20 years out dated, laundry room too gross to use, says it has wireless internet access but neglects to mention it's only in library. We never did get a single perk for being on our honeymoon.

An expensive hotel with good beach access, our east coast 7 yo and 4 yo boys woke early the first morning and went on the balcony. They were talking and excited to be in California; shortly after being outside a woman yelled that she had been woken up; 5 minutes later (after I hurried them back inside) security showed up at the door. The staff were not helpful with the above situation.
