Location Description: Our hotel is located in an ideal spot not far from the mountains, the coast of Viareggio, 18 km and the exclusive beaches of Forte dei Marmi, 25 km.

Lucca has a unique 4.5 km cycling path on its walls, which will enable you to admire its historical centre from a privileged position.

Dining: The Cantina di Carignano was an old mail station, where horses and carriages stopped during their journeys along the dusty roads between Tuscan towns.
For 4 generations, the same family has managed this restaurant and proposes typical dishes from the Lucca tradition, such as the Farro soup, home-made Lucca ravioli, locally grown olives, lardo di Colonnata, the famous fiorentina beefsteak cooked over charcoal and the traditional Lucca vegetables pies con i becchi.
In the summer it is possible to dine on the terrace by candlelight. It is possible to book for groups and banquets up to 300 people.
The restaurant is closed on Thursdays.

Transportation: From Pisa airport:
- Following the directions toward Viareggio take the road SS1 “Via Aurelia” as far as the entrance of the motorway A11 “Pisa Nord” toward Firenze.
- Leave the motorway at the exit “Lucca Ovest” and follow the directions to city centre (centro) turning left and passing under the motorway bridge.
- Go straight on past three set of traffic lights, at the third traffic light turn left following directions to Viareggio on the road SS439 “Via Sarzanese”.
- Drive on for about 2.5 km passing over the bridge Ponte San Pietro, go straight down for 200 mt. and turn right when you find a Gas station “ERG” and the directions for Carignano- Sant’Alessio and Hotel Carignano.
- Carry on for 1.5 km on the main road and you will see the hotel on your left.
From Florence (about 70 km. )
- Take the motorway A11 "Firenze-Pisa Nord” toward Pisa
- Leave the motorway at the exit “Lucca Ovest”; follow the instructions as above.
From motorway A12 “Genova- Livorno”

Breakfast Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! We think it’s important to offer our costumers a rich and complete breakfast: Ham, cheese, yoghurt, preserved and fresh fruit, 2 types of croissants, 3 types of cakes, cookies, biscuits, cracottes and swedish crispbread, 3 types of fresh bread, 4 cereals, 4 fruit juices, as well as all hot drinks. Naturally also butter, jams, honey and Nutella.
Conference Rooms Our 3 Conference Rooms from 50 to 250 seats and natural light, are furnished with standard equipment. On demand we can order equipment as required. We also organize coffee-breaks e business lunches as well as dinners.
Activities Our Hotel is particularly suited for sports tourism, Trekking in Garfagnana and the appennines mountains, cycling on Lucca hills, by the river or in the mountains. Transportation: From motorway "Firenze mare" A11: following the direction for Lucca you will find the Lucca exit. After that follow the indications as above.
From motorway "Genova-Livorno" A12: following the direction for Lucca you will find the Lucca Ovest exit. After that drive on your right follow "Lucca Centro" then you find the motorway bridge and at the first traffic light go straight on for Via Sarzanese SS 439 - Viareggio, at the third traffic light set go on the left and drive on for about 1,5 km. When you reach a bridge (Ponte S.Pietro), go straight down for 200 mt. and on your right you will find a Gas station "Erg" and the direction for Carignano. Carry on for 1,5 km. you will see the Hotel on your left.
