key did not work in the lock had to go down to front desk to get them to open my room.tv remote had missing battery cover. woodburning fireplace that had a log in bag which lasted for more than 3 hours, shower in the loft had a ceiling on a slope so if you are more than 5"3" you might hit your head on shower ceiling. restaurant food was very good, however they are sloppy about what attire people can wear to the restaurant like people wearing jeans when they should be wearing suits. there were more tv channels available than showed by pressing up and down on the remote it 1-33 however 34-49 were available by entering the number manually

We stayed 5 nights Feb.5-10 at the Caribou Lodge in Banff. We have stayed there many times before and we keep going back! Great value for your money.Very pretty and nicely appointed lobby area.Rooms are just big enough for what you need with comfy beds and very clean. We love that you can open the windows for fresh air if you so deisire too.Toiletries are better than average there. The Keg is one of the best places in town to eat ,any meal in! We ate many of our meals there and always do. The huge indoor whirlpool is the very thing to make you relax after flying all day long to get there or a day on the slopes. There is a great full service spa there if you want to use it.We spent all our time out hiking and walking the town. There are no down sides to this place. We have stayed at the very best and do not feel slighted here. In fact we get a sense of being "at home" and it is cozy and comfortable. You will not be sorry if you stay here. It is just the 2 of us and I do not know what accomadations they would have for a large family? If you need more info, call their number and the friendly people at the front desk with help you!

This hotel was awesome. If you want comfort, this is the place to go. It has a spa in the hotel and a free hot tub for resting up those sore muscles from a full day of skiing! I would definitely go back.

The hotel was basically empty and they still put us in an old, worn out room at the back of the hotel where it was very noisy. I have stayed at this hotel many times.

Genuinly nice/helpful staff, clean but not sanitary setting. A little pricey, unattractive colors in the rooms, expensive spa treatments for customers. I loved staying at the Caribou Lodge. The staff impressed me immediately with their helpfulness and welcoming attitude. I genuinely believed that they wanted me to enjoy my stay, and they did everything they could to accommodate me. Customer service like that is unheard of now-a-days! The hot pool and sauna were lovely, and easy to access. The room was cleaned, and the soaps/shampoos were very nice. I would've like to have seen a robe in the room or by the pool for my use, and the spa was a little pricey for what was offered, but I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The ambiance of the hotel was wonderful. The room we stayed in was had a ground level window that made the room cold. The Caribou lodge was very clean and the staff was friendly. The on-site restaurant served good quality food at reasonable prices and was easy to access. Our room was spacious and well appointed with a large bathroom. The only drawback for my stay was that the first floor room had a ground level window that leaked cold air. Since it was - 25 C outside, the room got a bit on the cool side. Fortunately the thermostat worked and we were able to turn the heat up to offset the cold air from the window. But all in all that was only a very minor bump on the road which did not affect the quality of my stay to any great extent.

It has old world European charm and a good staff. Because this is an older building, the rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. The reception staffis friendly and very pro-Banff, eager to help with suggestions and ideas of where to go to enjoy the area.

NoAC, no pool, too much clorine in the hot tub. We could not get to the hotel because of a road race that the hotel was participating in. When we could park and check in, there was a party held in the parking that made parking difficult. Our room was hot all night and did not have any AC. The design of the in room bathroom meant every time I used the toilet I banged my knee on the counter. The Keg, a restaurant attached to the hotel was the one real bright spot.

It was far and away the nicest hotel we have stayed in. Excellent, quiet, clean and super comfortable. Nice pillow top bed with down pillows and duvets. Will definitely stay again.

The hotel was convenient to downtown Banff. Very uncomfortable room, hot, and very small window opening to interior of hotel area. The outside and public area of this hotel was attractive. The room was extremely uncomfortable as the hotel is not air conditioned. We changed rooms for an additional fee and were given a room with a larger window, but it remained hot and more noisy than the first. The restaurant had good service but the quality of the steaks and other food was average. Spa facilities was nice but the massage therapist was a bit disappointing.

It is a beautiful and rustic hotel, perfect for the scenery. It has a wonderful lobby with a stone fireplace and an onside restaurant. I had a wonderful experience on my stay in the hotel. It is a very convenient location, just a short walk to the downtown shops. It is very rustic with a beautiful stone fireplace in the lobby, lovely flower baskets throughout the property and light up with white lights at night. They even provide you with a complimentary Roam pass to use the local bus to all of the must sees i.e. While I was eating at the onside restaurant, we even had an Elk jump over the flowerbeds to feed on the flowers the decorate the balcony. The staff was all very friendly and courteous. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.
