he hotel itself its okay. However, the staff and customer service of the facility is completely inadequate. When we checked into the hotel the front desk clerk was not familiar with the hotel itself (even thou we were told the clerk had worked there for 3 years). We had simple questions as to the shuttle service and the restaurants of the facility. Of course, she was not able to answer any of our questions, instead she referred us to Guest Services, which was not open at the time. When we attempted to get a hold of Guest Services the next day, we were placed on hold by the front office or when we were transferred to them, there was no answer. This happened at least 5 times. Also, we made the mistake of purchasing tickets from the hotel to a dinner show, they of course misinformed us of the starting time and because of that we missed the first 30 mins of the show. When we complained to the Hotel manager that night, he was very rude to us, did not offer any apologies, blamed Guest Services for all of the "confusion" and furthermore asked us if we had requested a copy of the contract between the hotel and guest services, which of course, according to him they were two different entities and had no relations with the hotel itself. Go figure! We had at least 4 other occasion in which the staff was very rude and did not offer any assistance. MOST IMPORTANTLY, IF YOUR A MARRIED WOMAN NOT TRAVELING WITH YOUR HUSBAND BE PREPARED TO ANSWER QUESTIONS FROM THE HOTEL STAFF AS TO HIS WEAR ABOUTS & IF IN FACT HE PAID FOR THE TRIP. SO SIMPLY BE PREPARED TO BE OFFENDED!

Beautiful swimming pool view, excellent for vacation. Spatious suite rooms. Excellent buffet breakfast. Unfortunately, medium preparation of the hotel staff and the furniture and room carpets were a little bit old and something like 1970's-1980's type. Anyway, it's perfect for a stay in American style.

Pleasantly surprised with Hotel. Read mixed reviews, but overally we had a pleasant experience. We were able to get a early check in, Patrick at the front desk was very pleasant and professional, and was eager to assist us. Rooms were OK, not the greatest but overall not bad. Pool was very nice, and our room did have a great view of the pool (we stayed in Tower 1 on the 4th floor). Location of the Hotel is perfect, everytning at your fingertips. Walmart less than 1/2 mile from hotel (for anything you forgot, and great to purchase waters, snacks( and believe it or not Great Freshly made Chicken Cesars Salads in the refrigator near the fruit) I know crazy, but true! We had a small problem with our refriig in room, but again not a big deal because maintance came up right away and took care of the problem, and even checked back with us in 1/2 hour (as he had promised) to make sure it was working (which it was). Definitely not a bad deal, and good for family vacation. One thing though the slide is much smaller than we expected. Slide more exciting for children 8 and under (our children were older and thought it was boring). I thought it was OK, if you stay have fun!

The hotel lobby and restaurant area was impressive, with an upscale restaurant, more modest restaurant, and a mini-cafeteria snack bar which was open 24/7. There was a car rental agency on the second level of the lobby and a small business work area for guests. The pool and grounds were beautiful. Our room was in good condition. It had a nice living room with a large credenza that contained a sink, refrigerator and microwave. This was completely separate from the bed/bath area. The location is a very short drive to Disney, yet it was in a relatively uncongested area.

A very nice place to stay at. The children liked the outdoor pool area, perfect to have an evening swin after a long day in the theme parks.Good food in the restaurant, both the breakfast buffet and the evening menu. We really enjoyed our stay, the staff was friendly, helpful and efficient.

The Caribe Royale Hotel Orlando is geared towards families with children. While we don't have children, we traveled with my in-laws who have children. The size of the rooms were nice, but they were definitely "tired" i.e. the furniture was a little banged up and the carpeting was stained in one location. I had no other housekeeping type issues. The room/bathroom was in general clean. I thought the bed was good except for the pillows, they were "puffy" which I find discomfortable. The pool area was nice, it had a tropical rock theme with a water slide. There was a seperate toddler water play area, that the toddlers in our party enjoyed. As a couple would we stay there again, no, but if my in-laws want to stay there we would. If you are couple without children there are better hotels for the same price.

Positives: Very good location, right at the south end of International Drive on World Center Drive. Very straight forward to get to the Disney parks by just going out of the hotel and driving west on World Center Drive. Both Kissimmee-Vineland Rd. and International Drive are very close by and full of places to eat and shop. Room very spacious with a mini refregirator and microwave. Very comfortable beds, which becomes very handy after walking around the parks all day long. Minor negatives: The mini refregirator in the room did not work well, the ice-cream we put in was liquid the next day. Housekeeping started banging on doors early in the morning and when they knock on the doors of the rooms around yours and shout 'housekeeping' its as if they are knocking at yours, so if you want to sleep late good luck. If you want your sheets changed, you leave a card in your key slot (energy conservation issue) but on a day when we did leave the card, the beds were just made and the sheets were not changed; the next day they were changed though. Overall: Good value for the money!
