Great resort in excellent location. Rooms were clean and cozy. Pools were great. There were four or five pools. Parking is across the street but not all that bad. I booked early and got a great price! Will return next year.

Pool area was nice andgood location. Was disappointed with room. It had a small pool outside our door. Had to walk past restaurant next door to get to Main Hotel. Plenty of room was available at main hotel but they would not move us out of the smelly basement.

Hotel room was dirty - bathroom never cleaned before or during my stay. Door handle fell off hotel room door - noisy in the parking lot in the middle of the night. Workout facilities were mediocre at best -- most of the equipment was non-functional. Pool in the main building was ok - but the Jamaican building is not a comfortable stay.

We booked this hotel based on the advice of friends that stayed in a condo in one of the towers. They raved about how fabulous it was! However, when booking a regular room which ended up being in the "Jamaican" our experience was quite different. Thankfully we had access to the pool facilities in the main buildings - which were GREAT. However, the rooms themselves in our building were terrible. There were all kinds of cleanlinless and maintenance issues. I would NOT stay in the Jamaican again, but would consider a condo in the newly renovated towers. BIG difference! The location is great - right on the beach, a short distance from main highway which has all kinds of restaurants and shopping.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the view was great.

The Hotel was absalutely beautiful! We stayed in a suite in the Dominican Tower. The staff at check in was great . He even remembered us when we had to ask for help. We had ocean view. It was wonderful having a full kitchen and a seperate living area. We stayed in the early season so two of the pools were under repair. The indoor pool area is wonderful with a lazy river, 2 hot tubs, a pool and a kiddie area. My girls enjoyed it even tough they are 18 and 21. The hotel is located within walking distance of Broadway on the Beach and many other shopping and resturants. We recommend the Pancake house on Hwy 17, which is a block up from the hotel, for breakfast. The food is good and at a reasonable price. We did not like the Seafood Buffet on the corner of 29th and Hwy 17. To pricey and the service is bad. We had a wonderful time and would definately stay again.

I stayed at the Caribbean Resort in the Dominican Suites. The room was very clean. The price was amazing considering the room was an oceanfront condo with a bedroom, full kitchen and living area. We did not do any cooking; however, having access to a full size refrigerator was great. You enter the room through the bedroom. I thought this maybe a problem with other guest walking by the room. However, it wasn't. I did not hear any other guest the entire stay. The parking garage is directly across the street and was easily accessed. Traffic was never too busy to cross the street. I will most definitely stay at the Caribbean again.

Parking was free, ocean front rooms, clean. Not enough parking for checking-in, lobby to small, air condition didn't work in day room, $100. deposit for theft, walking across street to parking.

We've stayed her pre renovation and post for our annual golf trip. New portion is very nice. The older portion is just that. The room shows no more wear than would be expected. Always clean and convenient. Sea Captain's for breakfast is hard to beat. Try the blueberry pancakes. Big hot tub is always nice after 27 holes of golf on a chilly evening in October.

From looking at the photos on the travel website I though that I would be getting a middle of the road, nicer Hotel, not extravegant but nice. However when I got down to Myrtle Beach I found out that I was booked in a classic sleezy myrtle beach motel that the bigger hotel had obviously bought out. I was very disappointed. When I went over to the nice hotel to use the gym I would look in the rooms and be green with envy of the other guest who got the nice rooms. I would have paid a lot more to stay in the nicer hotel. Becuase it was Biker Week, they were completely full, so there was no use even complaining about the situation.

For the price, the hotel is great for a family. Great location to stores and shopping. The beach was in excellent condition with a life guard in front of the hotel.

Apparently, this hotel deals with spring breakers way too much, and they charged me a one hundred dollar security deposit at check-in, specifically, they said, due to my having booked with an online travel website, which sounds bogus at best, and despite my being nearly forty, accompanied by my husband and toddler, and using a military ID. Not only was it offensive and insulting, it seriously tapped the available cash I had set aside for our trip; yes, I'll get it back, but I didn't have it when it counted. As a result, we weren't able to get souvenirs like we wanted, other than our pictures. We stayed in the Jamaican Inn two doors down from the main hotel, and while it was directly on the beach, which was wonderful, the hallways were being painted while we were there. It was nice being able to have a hotel crib sent into our room for our son, so we didn't have to improvise a sleeping place for him using the second double bed. There is no secure parking at the Jamaican, and all rooms have exterior access, which is a bit dodgy. Myrtle Beach isn't exactly a war zone, crime-wise, but had I wanted to stay at a motel, as opposed to a hotel, I'd have done so. We won't stay there again, but sadly, it's not the worst place I've ever stayed, and it certainly was cheap.

I booked a room for three nights, paying a pretty high amount, expecting what I booked. Instead of staying in the "partial ocean view suite" in the Caribbean, we were put in a room in the Jamacian...three buildings down from the actual resort. The partial ocean view was pretty much non-existent, the beds were not at all comfortable, and the room itself was not very appealing. There was no secured parking at the Jamacian, so we had to park at the Caribbean and walk back and forth everytime we went out. While being checked in inside the lobby of the Caribbean, what can I say, that was beautiful. It's what I expected. So, to sum it up, if you decide to stay at the Caribbean Resort, make sure it is the Caribbean!

Just the view. Dirty room, bad service, and bad parking. Room was one of the worst rooms I ever stayed in. It should have a zero star.

If you are looking for a great deal on the ocean front - then look no further. This resort is your answer. The rooms were beautiful, clean and well thought-out. The pool area will keep your children occupied for hours (both inside and outside). And you are one step away from putting your feet into the sandy beach and you are well on your way to look for "ocean treasures".

Conveniently located near the beach; plenty of pools to choose from. Dirty, old, rusty, smelly. No investment is being made in the rooms. Hotel definitely lacked appeal. Money is not being invested in most parts of the hotel to make it look decent and at least clean.

It was on the beach, but nothing else. We didn't like anything except the location.

The room far exceeded my expectations for the price. The hotel staff on the day of check in was anything but friendly. The hotel was great. It had all the amenities one would want in a room, including an incredible full kitchen. The pool area is awesome and is extremely family friendly for the those who have children.

The room was big and very nice for only being 2.5 stars. Fun entertainment. We could not get a late check out. It was very nice. It went beyond our expectations. When we got there, the beach was right outside out balcony as well as a lazy river and pool. They had a DJ at the pool in the evening with karaoke. It was nice and relaxing to sit with a few drinks and have some fun.
