It was located on the beach. Very old. Needs to be updated and less chlorine in pools. For the money this hotel was not worth it. The pools and hot tubs were crowded, and chlorinated. The hotel room was very old, paint had chipped and fallen from balcony several years ago. Mold in closet, may have had water damage previously? Location wise, it was easy to get in and out of. Very low traffic and easily accessible to attractions.

The hotel staff was really nice, we had our concerns since we heard such bad reviews. If you get a new premier room they are really nice and clean, the outside stairways are a little to be desired, some do not have carpet and stink, but it is not as bad as all I heard. We had a really good time, the kids activities were great, so were the pools and beach area. If there is one thing I could request is a pool house area where you can use the bathroom instead of the 2nd floor or your room. For our family we will probably stay further north for more of the activities.

Hotel staff very helpful. Needs upgrades. Your hotel 15 yrs ago was sweet, go back to those standards and you have them licked.

I stayed here for 5 nights and would probably stay again. The hotel is nice, but it is starting to show it's age and really need remodeling. The rooms are ok- the beds aren't that great and the bathrooms seriously need remodeling, but everything is clean. Really loved the full kitchen in my room. For the price and considering there is a full kitchen in most of the rooms if you get it, I consider it a good value.

View and location. Common area were not well kept. The rooms were nice and clean. The common areas were not well maintained but were clean.

I liked being able to see the beach. 1/2 of parking was full of other hotel's cars, no corkscrew, no honeymoon perks, kind of rude! Parking is almost always unavailable, there are no cork screws in the hotel, bring your own if you plan on having wine for your romantic night. Don't plan on using the coffee maker, it is disgusting. Front desk is rude. Don't bother informing them it is your honeymoon, they don't care.

Great activities for families. Large room we were not crowded at all. It smelled like stale cigarette smoke. We had an ocean view room. The indoor bowling alley and lazy river were also pluses especially since it was rainy and cool while we were there. The room was large and we had plenty of room to spread out. We had a kitchenette and that was also a plus so we could eat in and not have to eat out for every meal. The only downfall this room had was the stale cigarette smell. We ended up buying some Febreeze and an air freshener candle to mask the odor. Otherwise we had no complaints.

The parking garage. The first room was a disgrace: dirty towels on the floor, toilet not flushed (for a week?), dried-out leftovers in the refrigerator. The night desk clerk was rather surly. The room layout was terrible: one bed was immediately inside the door and it was impossiblenot to hear the conversations of the inconsiderate guests in the hallway all night long. Room decor was pretty ugly although the bed was comfortable. The hallways were dark and the carpets were always damp, as if a hurricane had just passed through. The parking garage is also the worst design I have ever seen. The hotel restaurant was closed for the season.

Not a lot of people there due tooff season. Bowling alley needs waxing really good. We had a great time will probably stay there again.

The pirate themed outdoor pool and the gym. The room was very dated, dirty, and the beds were awful. We were not impressed at all by this hotel. The room was very basic. It was obvious that it had not been updated in over 10 years. The sofa had stains and the bedspread looked dingy. The kitchen had 1980's wallpaper and the room looked dirty. We did like the free bowling at the hotel.

the staff was very helpful with fixing the remote control. i asked for a oceanview i recieved a side view. the captain's quarters was everything i expected indoor-outdoor pools,indoor-outdoor hottub, lazy river. the staff was very nice especially tammy when i asked about help with the remote control no problem, the housekeeper that came to refresh my room624 was great. for this i would visit again and tell my friends. the bowling lanes and video games on the property help if you became bored but with the right company we didn't play the games. thanks for a great time.

Location and pools. No food and sales calls. Good: Nice indoor pools, nice rooms, great location, good value for the money, fairly clean by Myrtle Beach standards. Bad: Most of the elevators are broken; I got one of those annoying survey calls, which was a prelude to sales calls (time-shares & tickets) - I had to unplug my phone to get some peace. All in all - a good experience, just remember to unplug your phone.

Location is great, room was clean. Hotel overall is lacking normal maintainence. Room was clean. Other than that the hotel is in serious need of repairs. Elevators were not all in operation, broken exit signs with exposed wiring dangling about, celing panels in common areas missing with exposed rusting celing elements, indoor pools were nasty!
