Staff was friendly & courteous. Pillows were too small and too soft. Hotel was nice and very clean.

Very impressed! Great location. The staff were very helpful and curteous. Rooms were clean and neat and the restaurant and pool wre great. Would definetly stay again and recommend to others.

Convenient location. Internet was $10 per computer - two business travelers with 2 computers added a $20 expense to our trip. The hotel was worse than expected. It was old, one of the elevators didn't work, and internet nor breakfast was included in the price. The rooms were average, though our TV didn't work for half the night until someone was sent to fix it. We went to use the pool and hot tub. The sauna smelled weird, and the hot tub wasn't particularly hot nor did the bubbles work. Overall, this hotel was not worth the money nor was it worth the star rating. It may have been 3 stars in 1985, but it's not today.

We stayed at Capitol Plaza for a large soccer tournament. The girls loved the hotel..very fancy compared to most "motels" we stay at for tournaments. Our only complaint was paying $129 per night and having a smoking room (which we asked for non-smoking when we booked the reservation) and 1 king size bed for 2 adults and 1 child. We are glad we took our own inflatable air bed with us. The carpet and furniture in our room is adequate...kind of dirty. But, overall it was a nice experience. The restaurant was very good. Great location.

The location of the hotel was convenient and check in was easy. Nothing that really stands out. We only stayed one night during a benefit for my brother. The hotel was better than what I expected from previous reviews. My kids enjoyed the pool. I left my pillow from home in the room and when I returned the front desk contacted housekeeping and they located the pillow and brought it right down.

Didn't receive room I reserved. Didn't receive appolgy or anything. Last time I will stay there.

Location. The rooms needed remodeled, room service trays were in the hall for over 24 hours.

"This is a decent business hotel. It's very convenient to the Capital (hence the name) and right off the two major highways that pass through Jeff City. The rooms are very nice with all the amenities you would expect. It would also be a convenient location for travelers, within walking distance of the major attractions. The restaurant and bar are ok, but not great, and might be a little pricey for families."

Nice location and bar menu. Room was handicapped and tucked away in the corner.

It was centrally located. Front desk personnel was not friendly. I have no desire.

Very nice stay. 1 night with 3 kids. Parking garage was closed due to potential flooding in the JEF area but no problem finding a place to park. Good value for price. John Q. Hammons hotels are quality.

The lobby. Room service, staff response to concerns. Not 3 star quality.

"I didn't get the room that I was told that I would get! Told I would get the suite they had advertised and they ""don't have one with french doors"" MISADVERTISED!!"

The people were friendly. I liked the exercise room, elevator, and fountain. Perfect location for us. Cold pool water. Relaxing atmosphere; respectful, helpful employees; safe, respectful patrons.

This hotel is in a great location but needs management very badly. Room was not what was requested at time of reservation. The heating unit was not working properly. The common areas were dirty and looked like it was used for a homless shelter. There was a charge for internet usage. The elevators were dirty

Room had a funky odor. The desk chair had a skid mark on it! I called and housekeeping came and got the chair out of my room. The hotel lobby area was plah at best and the rooms are so dated and smell bad. The best way to describe it was it smelled like a locker room.

"Low rates, but make up for it in charges for amenities. Food pricing high, charged for local phone calls and $10 for 24 hours of internet access. Large group held convention at time of my visit. Not enough parking spaces. Group was allowed to smoke in the atrium making it uncomfortable for non-smokers. Had to put pillow at threshold of room door to keep smell of smoke out. Problems with billing, charged my credit card twice after my stay for additional nights that were not booked. "

Convenient to highways. Maid service. While staff was quick to respond, there were numerous issues, including plumbing problems, water leaking from the bathroom ceiling, sheets not being changed all week, sandpaper-like towels and stained towels. Stained carpets, scratched furniture, warm milk in restaurant, and poor room cleaning in general. I would not stay here again.
