I was pleased with my Stay at Capitol Hill Suites for several reasons. First off, the location couldn't have been better. It was situated in a nice neighborhood conveniently located near all the major Federal buildings and memorial sites. I found the hotel staff to be professional and helpful. My individual room was well furnished with a kitchen area, lots of overall space and well furnished. Moreover, it was a quite clean and pleasant room. The bathroom was modern and clean. The free breakfast in the morning allowed me to save time and allowed for a busy day of site seeing. Overall, staying at this hotel was a very pleasant experience.

Free internet and breakfast. This hotel was really good and the location was fantastic. There was free internet, it was clean and there was a kitchenette.

We were very impressed with the hotel. It was clean, updated, well-maintained and well-staffed. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. We liked the neighborhood location and that it was so close to the metro and Capitol. It was pleasant to come back to at the end of each day.

We couldn't have asked for more especially for the great rate that we received through online . Capitol Hill Suites offered excellent service, a very nice, well appointed room and the location was great for the "typical tourist". They offered free breakfast which was very enjoyable. We look forward to returning.

The Capitol Hill Suites were well-appointed and the staff was very friendly. It works well for family and business travel. It was nice to have breakfast served in the mornings. There was no workout facility other than a few treadmills.

Good, friendly. Excellent conditions. Good services. Reasonable cost.

We had a great experience at Capitol Hill Suites. The front desk was very pleasant and the buffet breakfast, which was included in the price, had sufficient variety of quality food to make it very good. The best was our room. The decor has been updated and much improved since we were there last (about two years ago). All the furniture, including internet access desk and large flat TV, was in good taste. The bathroom is fabulous, with nice mirrors, lights, towels and a granite lined bathtub enclosure.

The hotel is right in the center of the capitol, and the metro (Capitol South) is only 1 block away. Daily breakfast is included with the stay.

I was very disappointed with the quality and service of the Capitol Hill Suites. 1. The bed sheets were not changed from the previous guest. We were moved to another room and found that the bathroom had not been properly cleaned. Hairs were everywhere. We had to wipe everything down ourselves and as it was late, we simply had to ignore it. Not only were these findings totally unacceptable and demonstrative of a gross lack of attention to detail, they are the mark of very poor management that does not train its housekeeping staff effectively. Needless to say, we exited the hotel promptly the following morning. 2. We called ahead of time to confirm that valet parking was available. No one mentioned that the valet parking spaces are very limited and provided only on a first come, first served basis. That information should be disclosed by the staff when receiving telephone inquiries and on the Web site. The man at the front desk had the nerve to suggest that we park our car 8 blocks/~ 1 mile away in front of a row of run-down houses in a sketchy neighborhood. As far as we were concerned that was not an option in the least. 3. The breakfast area is far too small for the number of people staying at the hotel and the breakfast staff spoke in clipped, dismissive tones. Again, poor management is to blame for forcing staff to work and paying guests to eat in cramped, overcrowded conditions. This hotel is nothing that it purports to be.

Located in a residential area just 2 blocks from the capitol and within easy walking distance of the metro and many of the sights. Courteous staff. Hotel undergoing renovation, but we were not inconvenienced by it. Clean suite with sitting area and flat panel TV plus bedroom with a great bed and flat panel TV plus a full-service kitchen plus bathroom (small) - all made for a pleasant stay at a great price. Would stay again.

The decor, the comfortable beds! The living room area in the king suite. NoAC on in the entry way, parking situation. We stayed for 2 nights with our three children (15, 12 and 8) for a short sight seeing venture on our way home from a vacation in Williamsburg, VA. We were very happy to have cozy beds and the ability to prepare meals there instead of dining out. We will stay again if we go back to DC. My husband and I were thinking might be the two of us would go back without the kids. This would be a nice place to stay for that too.

The hotel is very clean, the staff extremely friendly and helpful. It is within walking distance to the metrostation in a very nice neighborhood.I arrived 1 hour before the offical check-in time{3pm} and my junior suite was not ready yet, they were very apologetic and upgraded me for free to the big 2 room suite. It was great.Bed very comfy, bathroom a little small, but clean and functonal.Free internet in lobby, free breakfast Great value for the money

We really didn't know what to expect when we arrived but were incredibly sastisfied with the hotel. We stayed for five nights and the hotel (quality and location) made the trip a fantastic one. Staff was helpful at all hours. This was our second trip to DC and the first time we stayed "on the hill" and what a great experience. The comfort was great to return to after a long day of walking and seeing the sites.

Everything about our stay at this hotel was great. The location--literally two blocks from the Capitol in one direction and a Metro stop in the other--was fantastic. It's in a quiet residential neighborhood, but within walking distance of great bars and restaurants, as well as the Mall. (Very safe neighborhood.) The hotel was very nice, very clean, and had wonderful amenities (Aveda products in the bathrooms!). We stayed on a weekend, and the rate was very cheap (less than $ per night), much cheaper than other DC hotels where I've stayed. I do hear that the rate rises during the week, with politicians or lobbyists in town. A very positive experience. The one downside: I tried several times to call the hotel in advance, and I never got an answer. One line rang and rang with no answering service; the other (toll-free) line went straight to a busy signal every time.

We loved the location. It was within walking distance of most everywhere we wanted to go. Hotel was clean, air conditioned and quiet. Also a good continental breakfast was available to start the day. We'd stay there again.

Great location, clean, nicely furnished, free continental breakfast, kitchenette with full size refrigerator, stove & microwave. Street parking was a hassle. We got a $30 parking ticket. This hotel had a great location a couple blocks from the Capitol. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go, and the Metro was just a block away. It was nicely furnished, clean, and included a convenient kitchenette. It also had a free continental breakfast, great for a quick bite before setting off for the day. On the negative side, parking was an issue. There was a $35. charge per day for their small lot (if available), and otherwise, you were left to find parking on the street. We received a $30 parking ticket, because you could only park on certain sides of the street on certain days and between certain hours.

The hotel was very nice, exactly as described. It was the perfect location for business on Capitol Hill or a tourist visit. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom was kind of cramped but did not take away from the overall positive experience. I highly recommend this hotel!
