Nice and clean rooms. No double beds available at this hotel. Since I was traveling for a graduation, I had my older children with me. I needed 2 rooms with 2 double beds. Unfortunately, this hotel does not have rooms with double beds. With 3 people in one room. Even with 2 people who want their own bed, this hotel was not good.

We actually got lost trying to find the hotel, and when I called the hotel, the front desk clerk told us to go the opposite direction! We finally found our way with the help of the manager and when we arrived, they immediately upgraded our room for us and did their best to be helpful and friendly. We could tell that they wanted us to be happy upon arrival. The room was beautiful, everything was new and clean and very nice. We liked the fact that they have a small kitchen in each room with a fridge, microwave, and everything else you could possibly think of. The bathroom was very large and clean and the room was very comfortable. We enjoyed the pool while we were there and the area was very nice with an abundance of towels at your disposal, plenty of seating and private baths and a shower. We really enjoyed our stay and I have already recommended this and other candlewood suites to my bosses at work for when they go on travel. In fact I have one booked in one now!

Complete kitchen. Great TV channels. Quiet. They did not have shuttle service to the private jet terminal at the airport. Very Disappointed. This hotel is clean and efficiently run. Complete kitchenette is a plus. While they provide a shuttle to the main airport terminal they do not have a contract to provide shuttle service to the private jet terminal. Since this is where I work and fly in to, it is a deal killer for me.

My room was wonderful - clean as a whistle and very new. The flat-screen TV and DVD player were quite welcome. It was very comfortable and the black-out shades certainly did their job. Two quibbles: The only food options in the hotel are the Candlewood Cupboard - basically, over-priced snacks and microwavable good. If you have a car, it's fine, as there are plenty of eating options in the area. If, like me, you're without wheels, it means a lot of walking through parking lots. There are no sidewalks, so I had to walk through lots and shrubbery. Fortunately, at 8:00 p.m. on a Saturday night, the weather was quite mild. Wouldn't have wanted to do it in the rain or snow... Secondly, the hotel emergency exits - as well as the one elevator - are at opposite ends of the sizeable hotel. My room was smack-dab in the middle of the floor, necessitating a fair hike. Still, I'd stay here again - just making sure that I bring food with me.

I loved that it had a full kitchen, a walk in closet so the rest of the room wasn't covered in everything! There was only 1 extra pillow in the closet, and usually there is 1 pillow and 1 blanket. Overall I think this hotel is great! I would highly recommend it to someone else. The other thing was that there weren't that many guests there, and I asked a bit late check out, well the normal check out is noon, I asked to be checked out at 1, and they told me the latest they could do was 12:30.

This was our first experience at a Candlewood Suites and it won't be our last. I could hardly believe they had a full kitchen! By that I mean FULL, the refrigerator was full size, there was dishwasher, a mircowave, a STOVE, sink, pots and pans AND they even put a microwave popcorn in the mircowave, which by the way got popped the first night! There was a recliner in the room which was quite comfy. The only drawback about it was that it had to be turned around in order to be able to see the TV, but it was worth doing. There was a good desk to work on, open on both sides so there were chairs on both sides of the desk. Both were quite comfortable. They didn't have a restaurant in the hotel so not prepared hot meals were available, BUT there are restaurants all up and down the road where the hotel is (which is right across from the airport...couldn't be more convenient) and they also have the Candlewood Cupboard that has snacks, cold drinks and frozen meals that you can buy and take to your room. They give you a coupon for $2.50 (one for each night you stay there) that you can use in the cupboard to put towards what ever you might want to snack on or eat. There's a BIG flat screen TV in the room with a beautiful picture. If I had to find any drawback about the place it would be that they don't have housekeeping every day. Seems we should have been told that when we checked in, but we weren't. I found out when I called the desk to find why our room hadn't been cleaned when we returned in the evening. We were then told that we should have been told when we checked in. It's generally an extended stay hotel, so I guess it makes sense. They will replace your towels though if you ask. So all in all, I (we) felt like we were at home! I loved this place!

The candlewood is a great value especially if staying several nights in an area. The Windsor Locks Candlewood is a very new facility and the staff is very helpfull. As the weather can be very cold in Conn. they offer shuttle service to local eating spots and even to rental car drop off. Staff was very helpfull when I had to call back later in the day to request a recipt for my stay (forgot to check out,4:30am shuttle to airport).
