The hotel allowed graduating high school students to rent room for their graduation parties. On our floor we had at least 2 rooms full of drunken teenagers. As you can imagine they were rowdy, drunk, and without regard for the other guests. I called the front desk and was told that security would be sent immediately. Security was useless and could do nothing to control the students. The students would move the party from one room to another. The students had multiple rooms in multiple floors. What they should have done should have been to ask them to leave the premises but they did not. The parties continued past 3:00 A.M. The next morning when I spoke with management I was told that they were extremely sorry and that they had lost control of the situation the night before. I was told that the problem had been resolved since most of the students only had the room for one night. That night another party began around midnight and once again I had to call security. For our troubles the hotel refunded 50% of one night's stay. I will never return to this hotel and would not recommend it to an enemy!

Great location for China Town and walkable to Old Montreal and water front. Also very close to museum area. Many wonderful food options within 10 minute walk.

Spacious apartment. Unable to control guests. Overall, it was a nice experience. Unfortunately, during our first night, some young guests created a ruckus in the hallways between 1 am and 3 am in the morning. It sounded like a college dorm that night. I called the front desk to complain, but they couldn't get the situation under control for two hours.

Excellent location, walking distance to just about everywhere you would want to go. Staff was great. Rooms aren't totally modern like picture indicates, but good for the price. Tried to find off-site parking for cheaper, but with red light district just around the corner decided to spend the a night.

Great location. 2-3 blocks from Chinatown, walking distance to Old Montreal, Latin Quarter, and the Shopping District. Also close to public transportation. Friendly staff. The bed wasn't the most comfortable.

Great location! We could walk to everything. The hotel was clean and attractive, the employees were helpful, and we could walk to everything. Parking was available next door so we didn't have to worry about our car. I would definitely stay there again.

My husband & I visit Montreal frequently and for the past 5 years, we have attended the annual Canadian Grand Prix races, cringing at the increase in hotel prices that occur for this particular weekend. I'm happy to report that our 3-night stay at the Candlewood Suites was fantastic & impressive! I would describe the price as "BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK". We paid 142/night Cdn (taxes in) for the three nights. We stayed in a Queen Studio that included a stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and 4-cup coffee maker. The suite was L-shaped making us feel like we had a bit of privacy for the bedroom & it included 2 large TV's. The bedroom TV had a DVD player attached to it. A clock radio was missing from the bedside table but one phone call to the Front Desk resulted in a prompt delivery of this. The suite was clean, included 2 closets (small front hall closet & large bedroom closet). There were 2 dressers (one in bedroom, other used as TV stand in family room area). The underground parking is located at the hotel next door (Holiday Inn Express Suites). The Front Desk Staff as well as the Parking Valets were all very friendly & well-informed about activities occuring throughout the city. We were advised that this hotel is geared for "long-stay" travellers and therefore, housekeeping is offered once/week. I wasn't sure if I was keen on this. However, when we needed some fresh towels, we picked them up from the Front Desk and left the dirty towels in the Trash Chute/utility closet area down the hall on our floor. It was very nice NOT to be disrupted by Housekeeping knocking on the door waiting to clean the room on a daily basis. We'll definitely stay here again!

This hotel is really in the center of everything. It is a short walk to St. Catherine where you will find pretty much everything you need: restaurants, shops, bars, pharmacy, etc. It is a short cab ride to Crescent street where most of the college kids go. The hotel itself is great. We had a kitchen with everything we needed and 2 queens beds. The front desk was great about everything. We asked them questions + directions at least five times a day and they were great about it. This hotel is in the same building as the Holiday Inn Express. It has the same exact layout as it but the plus side is that it's about 30 or so bucks cheaper a night. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and I'll stay here next time I'm in Montreal.

Receptionist. Air conditioning switch. I liked this hotel but we weren't aware that there is a button that turns on and off air conditioning/heater. It was working when I got there. Along with the lights, I turned it off and slept in the cold for a night. There should of been a label on the button. Otherwise, I like this hotel. It has pretty good service and quality.

This hotel was just wonderful. It has a full kitchen with oven, stove, full-sized fridge, microwave and dishwasher... even dishes, glasses, pots and pans and eating utensils. You also get a full bathroom, TV Den, (with a DVD player!),and huge bedroom. I was in room 1306 and the view was just beautiful of downtown Montreal. The only thing to be aware of is that there is NO daily maid service. The maid only comes once every FIVE days, but they give you lots of towels and if you need anything at all, you just call them and it is yours. So, if you are used to making your own bed... or just want to relax and not make your bed... this place is for you. I loved it and will look for other Candlewood Suites to stay at because it is a tremendous value for the money!

I visited Montreal for the first time in August 2007 and chose the Candlewood Suites because of its location and the room description. My stay at this hotel was excellent. My room looked more like an elegant studio apartment with a full kitchen. The room was immaculate, the staff wasf friendly, and I was near all the historic sites of "Old Montreal". The hotel was a few blocks from the "Underground City" Mall and a convenient "IGA" grocery store. Everyone from the cab drivers, store clerks, and hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel.

Nice and clean, bright and cheery. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great tourist location for walking to St. Catherine Street, China Town, and Old Montreal. Our only complaint was that the matress was not comfortable; too soft and made our backs hurt.

Les Suites Faubourg was a superb hotel! The best features entailed anything from the beautiful shade of blue in our hotel room that made us feel like we were by the ocean...to the very friendly customer service ...and a very spacious array easy to fit your whole orphanage with 2 queen beds..pullout sofa, and an air mattress! The hotel was in the center of downtown Montreal where mostly all clubs, eateries, peep shows, and shops (not appropriate for children under 13) were in walking distance. All in all, mon experience etait tres bien. Merci Beaucoup!
