once you get by the fact that there is no true maid service nightly we found the place quite nice very large clean comfortable rooms seperate sitting and sleeping areas with a kitchen 2 t.v s all looks new free parking downtown is close by but need to drive or there is a shuttle a very good bargain would stay again

The rooms were nice, well laid out and very functional. TV in both bedroom and living room with DVD player in living room also. My car was broken into (broke the window out and my GPS) was stolen. Although the hotel accommodations were nice as most Candle wood Suites are. This one was located in a very bad neighborhood. My car was broken into (literally the passenger window was shattered), and the surveillance camera was blocked by a tree so the security was poor.

I was very pleased when I arrived to find I had a very nice suite, king bed, couch, desk, kichenette, everything as advertised. However, housekeeping never bothered to actually do anything, so I was reusing the same towels on the last 2 days of my 5-night stay (yuck). Additionally, the hotel decided to charge my debit card (which I had gotten specifically for the trip) "incidental insurance" fee which they have yet to remove from my account, even though it is still listed as "pending," after I was told that it could take up to 10 business days to dissappear. It is now business day 12 after my trip, and I am making calls to the GM of the hotel on a daily basis and not getting called back. Additionally, the shuttle service drivers were surly and generally unpleasant. Also, the windows above the 2nd floor are sealed. While the room was nice, I cannot recommend it to anyone staying in the Indy are for these reasons.

I had never stayed at Candlewood Suites before, and I was not familiar with the Indianapolis area. This hotel is located just outside of Indianapolis about 5 minutes from downtown. The room was spacious and clean, and the hotel staff was very helpful. I would stay there again should I have to return to Indianapolis.

hated the directions the staff gave us over the telephone as to finding the hotel.? We were sent out of our way, for no reason at all, in rush hour traffic.? The 2nd shift desk clerk (I never saw more than 1) has no communication skills.? This hotel doesn't have the friendliest staff,? however my suite was very clean. I would stay here again and not worry about the front desk staff.

Nice view and the shuttle was very accomodating.

This hotel is adjacent to the IUPUI campus and therefore close to both downtown and the speedway. The hotel offers a free shuttle within 2.5 miles of the hotel and then there are free and cheap bus routes (we just rented a car for comfort after the surgery). The hotel was clean, quiet & comfortable. The hotel staff were nice and helpful. The only thing missing was a pool and a free continental breakfast although we were able to manage between the food for sale in the Candlewood Cupboard and the kitchen in the suite. I highly recommend this hotel.

It was listed as a downtown hotel, which we were dissapointed that it was not.

The staff was very friendly (made me feel right at home). The hotel room was huge, clean, and nice. No dislikes. The hotel staff was friendly not only during arrival but during my entire stay. It made me feel really good from the moment I entered the doors. The room was very clean and huge. Could not hear any noise from the other rooms; which was great (a lot of privacy). Keep up the good work.

Fabulous room configuration - great for meetings and home work. Place does not look like it should be good but the outside, it is a reconfigured apartment building. The rooms are wonderful, comfortable and very livable. Highly recommended.

Very nice room. Like there was a separate living room and 2 TVs.

Good staff, inexpensive and great parking. Nice hotel. Pleasant staff and very nice room. Room was spacious and set up like a small apartment. This would be great for a family with kids. For business traveling in Indianapolis it is not too far from downtown. Close enough to make it downtown in less then 10 minutes even in rush hour traffic. Highly recommended.

Incredibly clean and well lay out. Lobby/front desk area was cramped. Far better than what I had expected and a very reasonable price. The room was fantastic and the complimentary wireless service was flawless.

The room was huge. This hotel is not downtown. Nice and big room. Everything I needed was there. If you want to be downtown, think twice about staying here. It is 2 miles away. The hotel has a courtesy shuttle, but it doesn't always run. I stayed on a Saturday night while the Black Expo was in town. I was stranded downtown because cabs weren't coming downtown. I had to walk two miles back to the hotel late at night.

Spacious. The shuttle. The only thing we did not like was that the shuttle only ran at a certain time. We got downstairs at 6:10 and could not get the shuttle because it only left at 6. However it was sitting out front of the hotel. We just think the shuttle should go more often downtown.

Very spacious and accomodating, much more than expected. Nothing I did not like. This hotel is much more than the 2 star it was rated, there is a hotel pantry where you can buy things on the honor system. It is located comfortably away from downtown with very quick access to interstate and downtown.

I liked the large size of the room. The lobby was generic, the elevators way too small. Overall the hotel was nice, I was told however that it was within walking distance of the RCA dome, but it was 3 miles away. Not in the best of areas. The room was nice and big.

Spacious rooms with lots of amenities. Not much attention has been given to the exterior or public spaces. Excellent for those who want a comfortable, affordable hotel near downtown. My room had a separate living area and kitchenette. The living area and bedroom were both equipped with desks and televisions. The kitchenette was modern and nicely stocked with cookware and utensils. Recreation facilities, room service, and other features that one might expect beyond the room itself were limited or non-existent.

The hotel was spacious and well equipped for a multi-day stay. Candlewood Suites is a good value especially if one is staying for several days and wants to dine in. It is also a good space to work with others on projects

Clean. Free shuttle service. Location. Calling this location downtown Indianapolis as per the map is a real stretch. It is 2 miles from downtown and that's a lot in a relatively small city. It's a $7 cab ride to downtown whereas every other hotel downtown is within walking distance.
