Fourth time to Cancun. Beautiful hotel. Beach was great here. Much better beach than further south. Watch out for the hotel's presentation. You can pick up a couple hundred dollars by sitting through it, but they really put the pressure on at the end for a sale and aren't too happy if you say no. Overall, our stay was excellent and we would go back again.

Great view of beach and pool. Staff was unwilling to accommodate in additional fees. The Manager was disrespectful and chose to laugh at us in front of other guests because he knew that we needed a room to get cleaned up. We had no choice to another hotel because they would not give us our money back. This was a terrible experience for my family!

We just returned from Cancun yesterday, and we spent a week at the Cancun Palace. The rooms and service were spectacular. The pools and beach were great. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. The All-Inclusive part of the trip was sensational as this was our first experience with All-Inclusive. A return trip will probably be on the horizon!!

We've been before the renovations and enjoyed it. Now, it's crisp and clean and totally reinvented. The restaurant choices are a really great feature. There was never boredom in food choices. The kids club is to die for. I almost wish ihad a little kid. You can leave your kids there with their sitters - free - and they give you a cell phone so you're always in touch. The free included tours make it a real bargain espcilaly when I priced some of them. The pool is heated now so that was GREAT but it's a very active area. Not a place to quietly read a book. The entertainment at night was pretty good especially since they built their own amphitheater. It's perfectly located and quick bus ride to the action center. Oh, and did I mention you can visit the other palace resorts for free? They even have a regular shuttle. It was a super vacation. I can't wait to go back!!!

The impression I got was that the primary purpose of the hotel was to save money. Only 2 places open for lunch, selection not that great. Essentially, only 1 place open for breakfast. Dinner selections are somewhat better. Fruit selection in the restaurants is not great. You have to wait all the time to get your order from the short-order cook. Things do not get explained to you on entry, people just want to sell you tours. There are two classes of guest, VIP (I do not know what the deal is with them) and the rest of the people. I wish the hotel would find some other way to reward people that like comping here. Or they should have a separate entrance and not mix with the regular guests at all.

Our family of 4 went to Cancun Palace for a week Feb. 7-14 2009-my husband and I and my 2 teenage boys ages 13 & 16. We had a great time. They couldn't do enough for you and we felt like royalty. They clean your room twice daily. Room and drink service was very prompt and most everyone was pleasant. We gave the food overall a B+. Don't eat the buffet for dinner but it's fine for breakfast and lunch. They also have sandwiches by the pool for lunch. We enjoyed all the restaurants but liked the Steak Place the least...possibly because the waiter wasn't that attentive. Note: Men need to wear pants for the Italian restaurant. Luckily I brought a pair for each of the boys but my husband had to buy a pair down there. My only complaint is my teenagers needed to be signed in and out of the Kids club thus they opted not to go there at all. It looked nice...video games, ping pong tables, etc. I mentioned it to the person at the Kids club and the hotel clerk on check out but doubt it will be changed. They did enjoy playing tennis and pool volleyball. There were many kids there of all ages especially toward the end of the week (nearer to President's Day holiday). The beach is small but beautiful. Don't buy the cigars they try to sell you on the beach-they're really not Cubans. My husband was hoodwinked again. The only tour we took (many were included) was to the Wet N Wild Water Park which we took the bus too...felt very safe doing so. My kids weren't that impressed with it had 3 water slides and a wave pool.

I spent 4 marvelous days in Cancun at the Cancun Palace with my girlfriends, and we all loved everything about our vacation! The fantastic Customer Service started as soon as we exited or taxi, and did not stop until we left the resort. The resort by the way was fabulous, clean and had exciting activities every night. The food was outstanding for every meal. If I had to describe the staff of the Cancun Palace in 2 words, they would be "over accomodating". My friends and I are planning to return again, and we have already decided that there is no other place in Cancun we want to stay. Cancun Palace or BUST!!!

The sole complaint relates to the sales pitch made immediately upon your arrival. It's disguised as a concierge service. And if you accept the pitch in exchange for an excursion, it will take more than 90 minutes and end with considerable pressure to purchase. We rented a car and took advantage of the other Palace Resorts, including Moon Palace, Beach Palace, Isla Mujares and Playa del Carmen. They all have their own character and made great home bases when we were in Isla and Playa.

When they met us in the lobby with champagne, we knew this would be wonderful. The view from our room was directly over the pool and onto the ocean. The drinks were free flowing and made with top shelf liquor. Room service was always prompt and courteous although once the food was lukewarm. Our one frustration was with the hotel-arranged excursions. We signed up for snorkeling (advertised as free) but they neglected to mention that there was a $2 per person beach fee and that the bus and boat personnel expected tips. We felt bad that we hadn't brought much cash. The snorkleing itself was beautiful (along the coral reef) and the 50 minutes in the water was just enough time for us beginners. Also, there are other optional activities (horseback riding, etc) on that excursion which you can charge to your room but again the personnel expect tips.

There is not enough words to describe this place. Let me tell you! The hotel location is perfect because it is in the middle of everything. The food?? Ni se diga! Food is amazing and YES! they will do anything to please you in case you didn't like something on the menu or else. The rooms are soooooooooo clean and beautiful; it accomodates the customer in all possible way. My best friend and I fell in love with CANCUN and the hotel of course because we were treated like queens. Anything we asked, we got it. Food is free, drinks are free and some of the tours as well. It's true, the tours are kinda long, but in reality there were some that you even needed more time. The Chitchen Itza was good, bit long but everything was included (minus the shopping, of course!) About shopping? Be a little bit smart when you buy stuffs. If you are getting little gifts, i can recommend the gift store inside of the hotel..in reality is not expensive. Prices are reasonable. IT'S ABOUT BARGAIN AND ASK FOR DISCOUNT, People!. I got a really Mariachi hat for a reasonable amount of money at ChiChen Itza: very different material from the ones sold downtown.BELIEVE ME! The staff at the hotel were EXTREMELY servicial and kind. They do enjoy doing what they do. If you decide to go to Isla Mujeres, that will be a nice place to shop around some stuffs: ask for discount! and if you decide to go, ask for the Party Boat with XYZ. I bet you will enjoy the ride laughing, dancing, and even drinking, lol. Activities: I believe it is ok..even kids friendly. The whole family will enjoy it. Music at the pool is good. The clubs are

Hotel was beautiful. Pool was great and the staff at the hotel was amazing. Anything they could do to make you happy was their mission. Food was very good and drinks even better. Our favorite place for dinner was the Japanese restaurant. The only complaint is how loud it is in the halls when you are in your room. After a few nights, it got better. If booking excursions, be sure to ask every possible question. They do not give you all the details and you end up on longer trips than expected. Overall we had a great time and are already planning on returning to the hotel next year!

First time to Mexico.Went 6/20-6/25/2009. Cancun palace was very nice. The room was small for 4 people but for a couple, it would be perfect. Double jacuzzi in each room and a HUGE shower stall. Clear glass though so the kids had to wait til I finished showering to use the bathroom. We had a beautiful view of the ocean and pool- not too noisy- very nice. We went on a day trip to Moon palace- the grounds and pool there were amazing but no one was swimming in the lagoon, no open ocean there so we're glad we stayed where we did as we swam daily. Also went on their included tour of Chichen Itza- the Mayan pyramid. Long day but really a sight to see- shouldn't miss it. Food was ok. The italian restaurant was our favorite dinner spot. The japanese restaurant was over-rated. Only issue I had was waiting in line for guest services and included tours being booked up. They shouldn't offer trips unless they can accommodate you on them. The only other issue was not with the hotel but with Orbitz. Make sure you know what you're getting for the price and CHECK your paperwork carefully. I didn't and it cost me $700 more and a very bad first vacation day. Get everything in writing and MAKE SURE it is correct- there was no flexibility or accommodating us when we were already in Cancun and could't get in our room. Otherwise, enjoy! Make sure you buy souvenirs in town if you're on a budget. We found no bargains like we'd heard you could get in Mexico and most silver jewelry they sell on the beach is actually silver- plated. We found this out after buying 3 bracelets- oh well. The beach area is small but still nice and we found the staff to be very pleasant. Worth the trip- have fun!

We love the service, everyone there loves to please, the food is awesome, we like Frida the most! If you plan to take one of their Palace Passport Tours beware of te following, yes food is included but you will have to pay for drinks, yeah drinks no biggie, so you know a can of soda is 2.50 in dollars. And if you do their (free) tours they will make you do forced shopping, for example we went to Chichen Itza, and on or way their we stopped at a "mayan Coperative" Or so the tour guide said were they pretty much tell you that everything their is cheap and it is not! I bought a Necklace there for 45 dollars, and later on the week I found the very same one for 25 downtown Cancun. On those tours they really act money hungry, they want tips for everything. So please beware. And about the time shares they did ask us if we wanted to attend a 90 minute meeting, but we said no and they backed off. The beach is awesome, the food is excellent. For transportation use their city buses they cost 6.50 in mexican pesos and they run 24 hours. We had lots of fun!

It all started with the warmest greeting at the front desk. Every staff member was friendly, helpful, and patient with my poor Spanish skills (everyone spoke English, but I had to try). The view was spectacular. The biggest surprise was how great the food was. The staff was ready to take every request. We had the most relaxing and enjoyable vacation ever...and that isn't even the best part. The tours that came included were excellent. The a/c chartered bus came with the best tour guides.

I Stayed at the hotel during the swine Flu hysteria. The place was practically empty as was all of Cancun. I think the whole hoteleria strip was 24% occupied. That being said, I can't say how things would have been during the average stay. Everything was satisfactory except the food which was subpar. Again, this could be due to the fact that not many people were there.

Champaign at check-in, fabulous hotel cleanliness and overall view, top-notch service all around, and awesome food and drinks. No beach left, but huge pool and plenty of activities conducted by the staff. Drinks were not watered down here and the food is unbeatable. Get the all-inclusive package and enjoy free tours, which include trips to Mayan ruins, an island tour, trekking, or just travel to the other 6 or so Palace resorts in Cancun for free.

We stayed 5 days 4 nights and loved every minute. The resort was better than the pictures online. All rooms included a jacuzzi, and the pool was fantastic. The staff went out of their way to serve you. They served top shelf liquor without asking. We ate every night at the resort and preferred the Oriental Teppanyaki Tables (which you need to make a reservation). All other restaurants didn't require reservations which was a plus compared to other resorts. I wouldn't recommend the snorkeling excursion at Maroma Beach.
