The rooms were decorated in a very fun and modern way, but were small and very noisy. We could hear everything going on in rooms on either side like we were in one big room. There needs to be more insulation in the walls or something. Maybe it's because there are hard wood floors that make everything so darn loud. The front desk concierge could not have been more helpful and wanting to please. The restaurant manager was a complete snot and very snooty towards me when I wanted to order some food for the roof deck. I was under the impression that there would be wait service or staff for the roof deck. He kind of scoffed at me when I came down the elevator and was looking for some service and food for the beautiful roof deck. It is beautiful on the roof deck and I thought it would be great to have a drink and appetizers up there before we go out for the evening. Look out for the manager and avoid!

This hotel saved our anniversary getaway. The hotel that we had made reservations at turned out to be terrible. Luckily we came upon the Andalucia. The staff was curteous and friendly. The hotel was very clean as were the rooms. The service was excellent. The view from the roof top especially at night was beautiful. It is only a few blocks from museums restaurant and shops. I would highly recommend staying there on your next visit to Santa Barbara.

WE were very disappointed withthe hotel. There was a dog in the room next door, we called front desk at 10.30 and again at 11.30 in the nighht. they said they would take care of it, nothing happened. told front desk at checking, nothing they would do about it.

We had such a great time sitting by the pool admiring the views. We brought a magnum of champagne from home, (which is totally fine with the hotel) and ordered some apps from the poolside menu. It was so pleasant we didn't want to leave. We missed the first part of the concert we were in Santa Barbara for in the first place. After the concert we returned to the pool for the last 30mins it was open. LOVE IT. All of the staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

This is a small elegant hotel in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara. It's location offers you the chance to explore the shops, get a quick bite, relaxing meal or experience the great nightlife of State Street. The room was very clean and nicely decorated with a big comfy bed and a large bathroom. Service is quick and friendly and the view from the corner room was wonderful.

Beds are sweet, rooms are very nice, AC needs to be improved, took till the second day to get the room cool enough. Roof top bar is a great place for a pre dinner cocktail!

My husband and I stayed only one night but loved everything about the hotel. The one and only problem was the air conditioning. It was not working well, mainly too hot. But even that was worth it because the bed was so comfortable, the room was very clean and cozy. The service was guest comes first. My husband liked the robes they offer in the rooms. Dining was great and the pool and view fantastic. MUST STAY HOTEL.

the canary is one of the leading small hotels group. it had all the amenities of similar hotels in this group we have stayed at throughout europe. the rooms, along with the lobby, bar, rooftop pool were elegent, service gracious, all resulting in a delightful stay. the view from the rooftop was a grand panorama of santa barbara, the pacific ocean and surrounding mountains. we also witnessed a wedding on the rooftop deck while we were at the rooftop pool. we will return to the canary again.

Any older hotel in a downtown area has noise challenges, and this one has trouble not offering views of the bus station across the street, but they handle everything as well as can be managed, given the location. The access to State Street is such a huge plus, and the comfort of the room, and charm of the staff and the facility are such, that we know we'll be staying there again. The redesign of the restaurant makes the bar area far more hospitable. Its a truly attractive downtown destination.

The Canary Hotel was very beautiful and luxurious. The staff was very friendly. They automatically gave me an upgrade since they were not filled up. When I got to my room the maids were in it, so they upgraded us again to a suite. The swimming pool on top of the roof was beautiful, and so was the view. I would definitely stay in this hotel again next time I stay in Santa Barbara.

Liked the hotel a lot. Rooms seemed recently remodeled. Very comfortable, beautiful room. Lobby is very nice too. Good location - near State Street shops. Price for a dog is $85 which is really expensive.

The Carnary Hotel was a wonderful place to get a way. We recently chose to stay at theis hotel for our 22nd anniversary. My husband and I were more than happy with not only the location but the accomidations were outstanding too. The cleanliness and the decor made this place one of our favorites to date. Our room was cozy and elegant all at the same time. The king bed and bedding were quite comfortable. The bath was great for a candle light soak and towels were plush. Because this was a special weekend for us we asked the conceriage to help with dinner arrangements and they did! We dinned at Bouchons. This experience was perfect. We will be returning next year.

we loved the hotel and location, we walked all over town and felt comfortable and safe. the staff were helpful. The room was a bit small but was very comfortable and well appointed, there was room for all our luggage stowed in the closet, plenty of room to hang clothes. beautiful robes provided for lounging around the room. i can't think of anything negative for this hotel.

The room was nice, bed very comfortable. The staff was great. There was a wedding the night we stayed, so it was a little noisy. Otherwise nice but pricey.

One of the attractive features of the Andalucia is the roof deck, which has great views of Santa Barbara. Be aware, however, that if you go in the summer on a weekend, it will likely be booked non-stop for weddings and other private events. Yes, you can use the pool (until 5:00 pm only) but do you want to with a wedding party on the other half of the deck? Would I recommend the hotel? Maybe to some people, given that it has new nice rooms, but it is overpriced (as are all hotels in SB) and not in the best downtown location (we originally got a room overlooking the Greyhound station). Depends on what you're there for.
