The Campanile Hotel, Birmingham.The hotel is quite a trek out of the centre, The staff were not very helpful or friendly on the reception desk, It seems the hotel caters for a lot of stag/hen nights as there was racous laughter and stupid boys racing down the corridors until very late into the morning..I wouldnt recommend staying here unless you plan on partying til very late

the hotel car park is really good with lots of space and in a great location just off the motorway. the room was nice but a bit cold with only a small heater and the bathroom was very cold. Room was well equiped and despite the bed being a fold away one it was comfy.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel, and on both occasions I have been most impressed . My welcome on arrival was genuine and friendly. My room was easily accessible, and of a decent size. with all the regular facilities you would expect. The hotel does cater to the budget end of the market, Think IBIS or Premier Inn. and matches up to them on standards and service. The room was pleasantly warm, and welcoming ,and had an additional electric space heater available if needed. (It wasn't) - The bed was very comfortable, with nicely pressed immaculate linen. and I noted very soft but supportive pillows!. The Bathroom contained a small bath, with shower over, Basin, and wall hung toilet. There were plenty of towels, face cloths, soap etc. The general standard of decoration was very good, and spotlessly clean. The Hotel is easy to find, located just on the outskirts of the city centre, in a quiet, "business park "area of the city, very close to Aston University, and the Science Park. It has secure parking, and was very local to the event I was attending. but it would be a challenging walk to reach any night life etc. However if you are prepared to take a short taxi ride, then this hotel is a bargain if you can get a good rate. I

I thought it was fairly poor. Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, I booked a double and they made us take a twin as they had over-booked the hotel. Corridors smelled of stale-ness. Room was tiny as was bathroom, although both were clean. I suppose for £48 a night not bad but no excuse for poor customer service.

Please do not put a non-english speaking person on at reception. She could not understand me nor I her. Hotel is not good for a user of public transport. There is no alternative to eat nearby.

Stayed here a few times (proximity to Villa Park) and have had no problem with the hotel or stay. The only annoying thing is that on my past three visits, the smoke (steam) detector has gone off about 5.30am which is obviously extremely annoying. Think the reception staff need to advise all guests to shut the bathroom door before showering!!!

We booked a double room, non-smoking and upon arrival were told that we had to have a smoking room - not a good start. The room was fairly clean but the smoke was very unpleasant. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and the breakfast would rate about 3/10. The receptionists were very polite and helpful but would I stay in another Campanile Hotel? Definitely not.

it was very noisy in the morning with staff banging and talking outside our door although we had the do not disturb sign onbut other wise the hotel was great.

I stayed in this hotel for one night and it was perfect! Taxi was only £6 between 4 of us into the town centre and the hotel even booked our taxis, very good service!The rooms were very spacious with satelite TV and very very comfortable beds!Only problem I found was that there wasnt a plug socket near to a mirror for me to straighten my hair but there was one close enough! (girls only).Will definitely stay there again and have already recommended to others!

Does what it says on the tin. Cheap, clean, not the best budget hotel you'd stay in but a long way from being the worst
