We unexpectedly had to stay in Mexico City two nights with our infant and this hotel was a lifesaver. Being attached to the airport was so much easier than taking our son in the taxis. With a nursing infant I stayed in the room and used room service. The food was great and the staff was very helpful and most spoke adequate english. My husband was dealing with customs for us and the airport being across the street and taxi service there being reliable made this very convenient. Expensive but very safe and very pleasent.

The hotel is beautiful and close to the offerings of Polanco. Nice patio opening to pretty gardens. Restful. Had a good business center and excellent room service. Comfortable room with nice bathroom.

If you are going to Mexico City to view the visual art, the Camino Real is the place to stay. The famed Mexican architect, Ricardo Leggoretta, has created a spatially fascinating hotel, with areas of light and color that must be experienced and which do not translate into catalogues or two dimensional photographs. His architecture, plus the Rufino Tomayo mural and other works of art inside the hotel, made this a premier trip for me and my daughter.

I visited the Camino Real recently, and I must say I am really pleased with the quality of service and overall facilities. Whether on business or leisure the Camino Real is a great option for staying at Mexico City. It is nestled in a safe neighborhood with easy access to the many attractions around town.

the hotel is great, service woderfull, the buts are that the food was too expensive and the pool they say they have it warm the hole year, not true it was preaty cold.

We recently stayed at the Camino Real on vacation and were impressed by the design of the hotel. Our room was larger than what you normally find in a big city hotel and the service was good. Since we had a low rate, they put us in the rooms closest to the street so try to get a room further in the hotel if you can. Once the front desk saw we had the Travelcoty rate, we were assessed a US11 per day service fee so don't be surprised. The services included paper, Internet access, parking (?) and late check out. All in all, a great hotel for exploring the city.

The hotel was gorgeous and in a fabulous area, right near Chapuletec Park. The rooms were very clean and well maintained, service was overall friendly. It was nice being in a hotel with a Mexican feel vs a generic institution like a Marriott etc. However, it was both a bit of a hike to the subway and confusing to get to due to a highway in the middle of the Park that made crossing a nightmare(and I actually have a great sense of direction in cities). The only other drawback was a problem we had with room service. To make a long story short we were sent the wrong Champagne (ie $100USD more than the price/size listed). After numerous calls to room service, the manager and finally the head of guest services we were offered a compromise. They took care of the problem, eventually, but it did take awhile to get there. I am glad they did because everything else they did was perfect and I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Please note, though, tourists, it is kind of far from Centro which is where many of the big attractions are. It is, however, very close to the Anthropology Musuem. Also be advised, the pool closes at 7, and there are free ATMs in the lobby.

Stayed here because we had a wedding at the hotel. Were automatically upgraded to a better room - thanks to a very friendly and professional staff. Really unique decor and soothing atmosphere. Recommended.

This hotel had large, clean, lovely rooms in one of the best locations in Mexico City. Unfortunately, the bedding was truly terrible. The beds we experienced were very hard and yet sagged under one's body weight. The result was poor sleep and significant back pain. Further, the pillows were rather uncomfortable. My pillow was rumpled, I assume due to laundering, and was thus even more uncomfortable than the other pillows. But excepting this problem, the hotel was quite nice.

The Camino Real, Mexico DF gave us a room that was less than what we paid for. The matresses were very hard. Our room was as far as one could get from the desk and was on the street side with accompanying Mexico City traffic. This will be our last stay at this Camino Real.

Excellent location, friendly people, only two details: internet was lousy and the last day they cut off the energy due to some repairs and did not ave good back up.

Very helpful staff, all the required business amenities. Several very good in house dining choices as well as 24 hour room service that is creditable....for those times when you don't have time to relax in the dining room.

The room was large with outdoor terraza. I could hear the birds singing outside. It was a nice surprise in the heart of Mexico City. The marble bathroom was impressing. the pool was large and beautiful and the service was nice but somewhat expensive, very typical of grand Mexican hotels of this caliber. The fitness room reminded me of the best hotels in Asia such as the Shangrila in Singapore, and the Regent in Thailand. I ordered pasta from Vici?s and it was the best room service food I ever had. Again, on the expensive side but worth it. On the deficient side, no ice on both of the ice makers on the 3rd floor and no towels left in the room after cleaning. I called and no towels. I had to look for the maid and she gave me some towels.

Camino Real Mexico City stay was very pleasent because the hotel really is an oasis in the middle of a very busy and noisy modern city. The large scale of the spaces make it seem you are in your own personal hacienda. I was in the hotel when it opened and keep coming back after 40 years. The architecture is modern today as it was in 1968.
