it was all amazing, hotel even has a private beach for hotel guests only.

Pros: Great views Nice set of pools Acceptable Service Hamburgers are good Cons Has the smallest (probably 15 meteres wide) beach in the world and full of jelly fish Food is extremely expensive Food is terrible (one morning the orange juice was fermented, another day the apple pie was frozen) If you really like the beach, go to the hotels next to "revolcadero´s beach", the beach was so small that sometimes the sea level reached the resting area. Far away from all great places to go (In the middle of the old and new Acapulco). For what you pay, better go to the nice hotels next to the "revolcadero´s beach", they have better beaches, food and service. Don´t go If you are traveling with a handicaped, an old person or a pregnant woman because it is located in the side of a hill so you have to go up and down all the time. (hundreds of stairs)

We upgraded our room to a Camino Club room upon arrival at the hotel. This includes a room with a bay view, the breakfast buffet, 2-hour cocktail hour in the evening, robes, cookies in the afternoon , and a concierege service (which we did not utilise). Initially, we were assigned a room in close proximity to the construction site next door, but the front desk changed it with no problem. The setting is beautiful, there are plenty of chairs (both in sun & shade) at the 3 pools, the hotel & grounds are clean & well-kept. The beach area is very small and private. The food at the hotel is fresh and well prepared, however it is boring, bland, and overpriced. The drinks are expensive if you drink outside the free club cocktail hour. Located in the Diamante district, cab fares to town or outside restaurants are a minimum 20.00 each way using the taxis at the hotel. We arranged for a private driver during our stay negotiating our itinerary and prices beforehand. At any rate, taxi costs (should you wish to travel anywhere outside the hotel ) will be considerable. Our room (#517) had an on-going problem with air conditioning failure throughout our stay, however it was always promptly resolved. The employees are courteous and aim to please. Some have a better command of English than others. The hotel is popular with Mexican nationals from Mexico City seeking a week-end escape, and the hotel does host business gatherings. If you are seeking a quiet getaway in a location that is remote from downtown Acapulco this is a good choice. If you are looking for pumped-up action and activites, seek another venue.

Excellent location to rest and the service is incredible.

My girlfriend and I spent a week in this hotel. The hotel itself was good, the rooms were big, there were a few pools and a small private beach. The food was good as well. However, there were a lot of children which made the time on the beach not too relaxing. Also, the internet was extremely expensive and slow. Another problem is that the hotel is far away from pretty much everything. There are some good restaurants 5 minutes away by taxi, I would recomend Becco. All in all a good hotel if you are looking to get plenty of rest.

Great location; good facilities; below average restaurants. For a place that is a fair distance from the town and other eateries, the food at the restaurants was very mediocre. Prices, of course, were above average!!

The Camino Real Acapulco was a perfect place for me and my husband because it offered what we were looking for: Relaxation in a beautiful setting. The room was nice and it overlooked an awe inspiring bay. The service and food were excellent. They had a mix of American dishes as well as wonderful Mexican dishes for a very fair price. The location was great because it was secluded with a small private beach and 3 swimming pools. This place was a great value for the beauty and the amenities it had to offer.

the hotel has a great view, is very clean, the people is friendly and helpfull, nice swimming pools, the sea is like a swimming pool, the rooms are big, but the food at the restorants is bad and expensive, very tipical of the camino's real

Good hotel but the pool area is small and the beach very small too.....

This is a great find- very secluded and quiet with all the amenities needed. Don't get caught taking food/drinks in from outside like we did- they give you hard time. The beds were hard, but we got used to it. The pools are wonderful! Poolside service is slow though- took forever to get a drink! Very clean and friendly service. Taxi rides averaged 10-12 each way to go anywhere!

It has a great location, private and comfortalbe, 3 pools with an great view and defined clearly for kids and adults. The only thing I think that is missing is variety in the shops, there is only one that carries very poor selection of merchandise at awsome high prices, if you want to buy a bathing suite you just have one store,as the hotel is not located intown it would be a must. All else, great!!!!

Camino Real Acapulco is a good option to visit for a weekend doing nothing but relaxing. Especially if you live in or close to Mexico City. It just takes you a 3h ride to get there. You pretty much don't want to leave the hotel. Althoug Acapulco is really close the traffic getting into the city might cost you some relaxation points. Our food recomendation are the fish tacos in the hotel restaurant next to the hotel beach - La Vela. With salsa de molcajete and a cold Pacifico beer they are a fantastic afternoon snack.

The hotel is very secluded, clean, I will say that it has the best beach area in Acapulco. The rooms are spacious, and the view is magnificient. The hotel has two restaurants ,there OK but there pricey for what they offer, for example breakfast buffet for $18.00 dollars.

"Overall we like Camino Real. It's not cheap - expect nice US hotel prices for food and services. Food was ok to good, but we enjoyed other restaurants more. Nice and quiet, great pools, rooms were nice. Beds were somewhat uncomfortable."

The hotel is nice and the location is also nice. But it is not in the diamante part although the they put in the name. Its in a bay called puerto marques.

"Excellent hotel. Only 20 minutes cab ride to the city. Beautiful view of the bay from the room & 3 pools that are very attractive. Good food and very friendly staff. It is secluded and quiet. Very steep drive down to hotel, never walked out to the highway due to the heat and steep hill, but it would be good for a hike and workout!"

The service at the Camino Real was not great. I had a really really bad meal in their Cabo Diamante cafe. I could go on but I will not.

"The hotel itself and the setting for this hotel are perfect. It's outside of the city, so it's very quiet and relaxing. It was a perfect getaway, and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful (although they aren't in any hurry to get things done). I'll stay here every time I go back to Acapulco. I would recommend this to anyone whose idea of a vacation is to really kick back and relax and who isn't looking to pack as many activities as possible into their stay."
