This hotel is the best I've been to. Georgeous view of the ocean. Big pool area. Great place to stay with the kids. A short ride to the best places to dine. The only thing that was discouraging that the wireless internet was very poor, other than that, nothing to complain. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

We were on 18th floor, elevator was smooth & quick. Felt safe and really liked parking being inside the hotel building. Pool & river area needed some cleaning since we were there around 8:30 PM. Switch button for hot tub needed instruction & larger ID sign.

great place to stay. I had my doubts about enjoying this trip but was pleasantly surprised with a clean modern well equipped room. ocean front. perfect place to stay. We were there spring break week 5/11-5/15 and had a great time. front desk staff handled themselves nicely. With a microwave, full size fridge and stove, great clean pools inside and out and quiet rooms we couldnt ask for a better bargain. Its family friendly for all ages in a safe area and well lighted and easy free parking. My compliments to the Camelot we wont hesitate to stay there again. If somethings not right just ask and there it is for you quickly.

Beautiful hotel. I was a little disappointed with the room; the room was extremely clean, but I expected the room to be a little larger and more upscale. My fiance' and I went down for a romantic getaway and I really wanted a special weekend for us. The outside of the hotel was absolutely gorgeous, but I was hoping for a little nicer room. Despite the disappointment with the hotel room, the hotel staff was extremely helpful and I would recommend keeping this hotel in your top picks of hotel. I would stay there again.

checked into a room that was clean, but dirty. kids would walk across the floor, and their feet would be black. had to put sheets on the couch to sit on. 18th floor room, with no safety lock on the door. it had the lock on the handle, but no lock out of reach for children. had to watch my 2 and 4 year olds like a hawk in the room. Good pools.

Location and oceanside rooms. Could use restaurant and didn't like having to pay extra for Internet. Second time there. As good as first time!

Its nat a bad place, there were 4 adults in our party. We were now there for the fall Bike week. Yes the rooms are by the parking ramps. But they only allowed Bikes to park on first 2 or 3 levels.Which was nice.We did find that our rooms didn't get cleaned everyday. But if you read the folders that they give you,It tells you that if you stay a week, that they don't clean it everyday.NOT GOOD! aS FAR as towels we got clean ones everyday. We are planing to stay again this year.

I stayed here with my family (5 of us) and was very disappointed. The hotel is pricey and should have everything in working order which was not the case. Upon check-in we found out by accident that there was a fork stuck in the garbage disposal. That took approx. 1 day to fix. Next we found out that one of the showers was broken in the main bathroom. That meant 5 people had to use 1 bathroom in a 2 bedroom condo. That took 1 1/2 days to fix. We constantly had to remind the front desk that we needed towels. The linen needed to be replaced. Some blankets had repaired holes in them. TV was very small in one bedroom and a large TV in the master bedroom didn't work and was replaced with a smaller tv. On a positive note, the view was nice, all ocean front, except 1 bedroom faced the parking lot. Access to the beach was excellent - connected to the hotel. Kichen area was adequately furnished and supplied as well as living and dining room area. All condos are privately owned so all furnishings are the owners property and not the hotel's responsibility. For all our troubles we were reimbursed *. I don't know if I would stay again.

We were on the last leg of a two week honeymoon. We were looking to rest and relax at the ocean...MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Overall, we loved our stay and would recommend it. There were some things that weren't as nice as we would have imagined. First, they sell the hotel on line as a theme hotel-ie. Camelot. However, once you get past the two people at the front desk, there was NO example of Camelot. It was weird. Why sell the costumes and theme if you are only going to present it at the front desk? The staff was OK, but nothing to write home about. Their recommendations to us for places to eat were pretty bad so I suggest to do your own research (ie. go to Pier 14 for dinner). The bottom line is, the more you prepare your trip the less you have to rely on the staff and that really goes for any beach hotel that's not a resort. The bathrooms around the pool were pretty funky, but the pool area itself was very clean and the rooms were kept up very well. I do have to say though that they forgot to clean our room on our third day. When I called the desk they said they would send someone up. I had to call back and at that point I told them to forget it but did ask that they send up new towels. 20 minutes later I answered a knock at the door and a guy hands me a trash bag that had clean towels in it. That was way beneath the 4 star care you would expect for the price we paid! The only thing that really bothered us was the absolute disregard for the rules at the Lazy River. There are signs explaining simple rules that allow the Lazy River the opportunity to be a relaxing location. After all, there are two other large pools, two kidy pools and two jacuzzies for crazy fun. The staff, which consisted of teenage girls that could only say "Hi, how are you", refused to enforce there own rules. As a result the Lazy River was a very disappointing experience. Kids AND ADULTS were treating it like any other pool-jumping in, swimming, running, and doing all the things that should have b

Good location, staff A+ however room was filthy. Molded showerhead, bugs, water spots on the ceiling, scatched walls, filthy grout in the bathroom. Cloudy pool water. Exterior access made it a high rise motor lodge instead of a hotel. Will not stay here again.

I would stay at this hotel again. It was a perfect location for the vacation that we had planned. We wanted to spend a lot of thime at the beach and we did just that during our stay. Housekeeping was a little slow, we left the room at 10 in the morning and she was just getting there when we were coming back to shower and change. Otherwise wthe trip was good.

The hotels appearance is very nice from the outside. It's a different story when you go inside the rooms. The room we stayed in was dirty. There was black stuff all in the floors. There was also black stuff on the ceiling near the vents. I stayed here 2 years ago and it was very nice, its changed!

I loved the location, the way our room had a kitchen & living area. No place in hotel to eat or have a drink. Nice place, family oriented.

communication with the front desk was a nightmare. not only was our room not ready when we arrived at 3pm, but they told us they would call us when the room was ready. after 2 hours we called to check on the room, it was ready. NO ONE CALLED US. when we got there, the crib that we requested weeks in advance and was told we had one reserved was not there and we were lied to all day long about maintenance putting together a new one for us. that was completely made up and they had no intention of helping us. so my 1 year old had nowhere to sleep. this story went on all week with horrible maids that wouldn't clean our room. we had to practically beg to get our undersized garbage cans emptied and fresh towels. I've never complained about a hotel but I was never treated like this. to top it off, we also had some other guest checked into our room. maintenance was trying to break in the room! I hate to bash any business but I am suggesting those of you who have young kids to go somewhere else - you're on vacation and you shouldn't have to put up with this. anything from oceana resorts, I would strongly suggest to stay away from. lousy management and they don't treat their guests right.

On April 14th, 2008, I reserved two condos at the Hotel Camelot by the Sea. We are celebrating my daughter?s 18th birthday on the 20th. Our nightmare at the Camelot began on the first evening of our stay. I was relaxing on the bed when I heard someone beating on my door at 1:30 am. I looked out the peep hole and there appeared to be a man in a uniform standing on the other side. My son and his friend were not in the room at the time and I felt uncomfortable opening the door to anyone I didn?t know. I got dressed and went downstairs to the front desk and asked if someone from the hotel had just been up to my room. The manager (Elizabeth) working that night was very rude and accused me of urinating off the balcony. Apparently, someone had complained that they had witnessed someone urinating off our balcony (room 414). I explained how that would be impossible. It?s obvious I?m a female and my boys had been gone for an hour. Early Wednesday morning at 2:30 am 18th of June, we were evicted. Apparently, someone complained that they saw bear cans being thrown from the balcony of the 17th floor. None of our group was in the room when the alleged beer cans were being thrown. Given only 15 minutes to pack and leave. The hotel kept our money and re-rented our rooms. In SC that's illegal! The security guard said that he believed it was no one from our room because; he had witnessed our entire group down by the pool.

The pools are nice and toddler friendly. We had a great view of the beach and fireworks at night on the beach. This hotel is in a great location. It was very nice and clean. A very family friendly place. We will stay there again.

Met our location/travel/price needs and was attractive both inside and out. Staff was very helpful. Spa not working 3/4 days of our stay, cleaned pools too late in day, blocks on cable box when free HBO was offered, Not enough towels for 4 people. Over the hotel offers what it sells. Upon check-in the lobby was small, but the friendly staff made up for it with effortless check-in and a gift bag. Parking and location are great. Only issues for us, free HBO was offered, but there was a block on cable box that took a few days to correct. Also, we had to ask and go and get towels to have enough for our family (4). Inside spa broken 3/4 days there and pools cleaned too late in morning, so we were walking over the cleaning people to get to beach.

Pros: Great place for kids! Seven pools, hot tubs, and a lazy river ranging from 1-5 feet deep. Walk out the gate to the beach. Enjoy the kitchenette and balcony. Close to most attractions in town. All rooms have an ocean view and are next to the parking ramp. Cons: Noisy plumbing; all rooms are next to parking ramp; not the place to stay if you need everything to be newly remodeled.

The hotel is in a great central location. It is a straight shot to Broadway at the Beach. It is not the best location for people that like to go to sleep early as the noise level is pretty high on the strip. We were on the 19th floor and could hear people hollering all night long. The traffic is pretty bad at night. I was a little disappointed that the Concierge was not working the day after I checked in. I had to make reservations for a show on my own. The people at the front desk were very friendly.
