Great weekend at the BelfryWe have been staying here since it's opening and seen it plummet in service provision and food quality. At last it is getting back to the hotel it was then. Service was excellent in all areas, food great and the spa area makes it value for money. Staff were great and happy again! Only downside is the wine prices are a bit over the top but I can forgive this and they must not let weddings interfere with general service levels!

A modern hotel in a new development with a couple of places external to the hotel to eat nearby, and a supermarket next door (but this wasn't intrusive/bad). Hotel felt calm and relaxing, staff were extremely accomodating and all communal areas and facilities were clean and attractive - an excellent place to stay for business or pleasure outside of Cambridge.

Hotel ReviewWe upgraded to a Penthouse Suite which was superb. There were only 3 niggles. These being that in the bathroom a bottle of used shampoo had been left. The plug on the bath was broken and one of the bathroom lights flickered. Despite reporting these shortly after we had arrived by the time we left 2 days later they had not been fixed.

Nice clean new hotel. But probably a kittle over priced.

The hotel is situated in the middle of a "new town", so it is not a picturesque setting and lacks any kind of character. The staff are pleasant, but the evening meal was very poor. I wouldn't stay there again.

CortisoneFaultless - good to sit outside int eh evening and be brought a bar snack late at night. VERY welcome pool and gym. Only down side was table layout at breakfast - made it rushed and unpleasant...but I'll stay again but sit where I want.

Super hotel and facilities, breakfast is fantatic, resturant has limited choice and food was not good value for money.

Room was dark as it was in a corner. Otherwise it was good with all facilities (would have preferred a larger bed!)Did not see porridge at breakfast.Room was opposite a conference room, and they were taking down partitions etc and putting them in a cupboard next to our room around 11.0-12 midnight!

This hotel is very good indeed, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is excellent.

A Cambridge too far.Not exactly deserving to be displayed as a Cambridge hotel as its some distance from the town. It is isolated & a little way from the park & ride area. Local amenaities are sparse so it limits the dining out options if you want an alternative to the hotel food. The hotel restaurant disappointingly below par especially for a 2 AA Rosette Award. Personally it doesn't warrant any Rosettes based on comparitive experiences. The spa facilities were average.

Good but not greatFront desk reception were quick, polite and helpful. The room was scrupulosly clean and the bed was comfortable. Didn't hear any neigbouring TVs of flushing loos so soundproofing obviously effective. Had a room service meal as the restaurant claimed to be fully booked - rather disappointing fare and would not have wanted to pay the full rate for it, however as the meal was included in the price, I suppose it wasnt too bad. My only real moan is that although the room was a good size, the combination of dark woodwork, mushroom coloured walls, dark bedspread and curtains, dark red furnishings and indifferent lighting made it feel somehow claustrophobic and the whole place seemed rathercharacterless.

5 star service...excellentThe hotel is beautifully situated not too far from the Park and Ride into the city. The service was amazing; including the offer to upgrade to the Penthouse suite for only £50. The TV in our sitting room showed only 2 channels so we mentioned it on our way out on the first day. Upon return the TV was replaced by a new one. The carvery was a little disappointing but the a la carte menus was fantastic, never seen a chop so big. The water pressure in the shower was a little low but to be honest the experience was so good all round that I feel it is nit picking to even mention it. The reception staff and the restaurant couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant.

Let down by breakfast.Ordered room service for breakfast each morning and despite complaining on day 1 that the order was incorrect , they still couldn't get it right for day 2 or 3. And they charged a tray charge for this poor service!Hotel was clean and bed very comfortable. Gym was a little disappointing.Overall good stay.

Original room had a problem with the lights so I had to move - as a gesture of goodwill for the incovenience of moving rooms they upgraded me to a junior suite which was lovely.Only thing I would advise is don't use the spa bath.....I switched it on and immediately the bath water was full of horrible black floaters - presumably other guests dead skin which was lodged in the jets...not very nice at all!

Nice clean comfortable hotel - just be carefull which room you get!All fine and would use again, but i did hear a couple of people complaining about noise from the conference rooms being set-up late in the night. I did not have a room which suffered this and was on the whole very pleased. Only slight moan was the TV only worked on one channel and no-one was avaiablr to tune it.
