We had a great time at Calypso and were sad on the day we had to leave. The pools were amazing and the included aminities made the trip even more enjoyable. We loved being within walking distance of Pier Park where we could eat and shop. We would recommend this condo to anyone and are planning on returning ourselves for another vacation in the future.,

We were on 20th floor and view was fabulous. Our 3 bedroom was spacious and beautifully decorated. We were there for a 4 day event at Park which was approx 1 mile away. It is only approx 2 yrs old and everything was fresh. Staff very helpful. Walking distance to new Pier Park area where you can enjoy fantastic shopping and great restaurants within any price range. Plan to be back next April.

The room was beautiful; very nice. However it was vacation, and I didn't really like having to get up very early to wait in line to get a chair at the pool! they need more space around the pool. They have a sign posted that says "towels will not reserve a chair". but, people do it, I even did. I won't stya here again regardless of how nice the room is.

We loved our stay at The Calypso. We came to Panama City Beach last year for the first time, and we also stayed at The Calypso then as well, that is why we returned to the same resort again this year. The room was beautiful. The whole resort itself is a beautiful place to stay. The pool area was also very nice. Will return next year!!!!!!

PROS: Plenty of parking (parking is across the street, but there is a skywalk so that you don't have to go into traffic), washer and dryer in room, beautiful view of the beach out living room and bedroom, free use of beach chairs with umbrellas, we arrived early but the staff worked hard to get us in our room before check-in time, and a nice sized kitchen with full-sized fridge and stove CONS: The room was showing some wear and tear from the spring breakers (the carpet was bunched up in a couple places, scratched paint along the baseboards, etc), one of the sliding glass doors didn't work properly, and if you want to be near the action (Club La Vela or Shipwreck Island) then you'll want to stay somewhere else as this hotel is three or four miles away from those places OVERALL: I would, without hesitation, stay at this hotel again because the pros greatly outweigh the cons.

We were there in August of 2007 and it was our first trip to Panama City. We were delighted with the beaches and also the condo at Calypso. The staff was great the rooms were clean, and we loved it so much we were back in June of 2008. Unfortunately we needed a four bedroom and the place we stayed was not even close to the quality of the Calypso. We are returning in August of 2008 and will be staying where we know there is quality even if we have to get two rooms.

we loved the comp. lounge chairs at beach but get down early to reserve they go fast!! we got a dvd rental card at check in but rent early cause office closes at 10pm; then you will not have access to rental hub( they did not tell us that when we checked in so missed first nights rental) room was wonderfull!!! we were on 19th floor (loved the view) but the elevators were slow at times. loved the keyless entry no card to keep up with just kept code in cell !! we wished that the tiki bar by the pools would have had some nightly shows to keep us from having to walk to other places (it was a very quite place at night) the pier park mall is walking distance which has many great stores and food locations!!! we wished that the condo had a small shop on site to pick up local paper (had to walk across street to get papers not just local) and to carry maybe sample size items. if you plan to cook with skillet the one in our room was too small but other than that the kitchen was outfitted with all the items you might need. over all we would stay there again and our teenages even liked the built in bunk beds

We just returned from an extended family vacation at this resort. The only good thing about the Calypso is the condo! Large, spacious and beautifully decorated. The staff and management are horrible. The 1 or the 3 elevators in our building didn't work for most of our vacation taking 2 or 3 days to repair. This caused 20 25 minute waits to the 23rd floor. At check in, there are no carts and you only have 15 minutes to park in the unloading zone and are threatened with a ticket. They guy standing there giving tickets is not helpful at all, but is very rude if you ask for help. They security and staff will stand and watch you struggle to open a door with your hands full and will not bother to help. The front desk cannot give you change for the vending machines (the only food available in the so called resort) The advertised "Tiki Bar" is not open, no liquor license, but they don't even sell soft drinks. The place is filthy! Vomit lay in the hall for 3 days before cleaning up. The day we left there was vomit in the elevator that hadn't been cleaned up, only a drying agent put on it. Trash is not picked up on the beach, but usually guests would pick it up in the am. There was a fire alarm the morning we left, however it did not sound in our room on the 23rd floor. (only the all clear) I didn't talk to one guest who got the alarm in there room. You are given 2 rolls of toilet paper for the week and no garbage bags. I have had better service in a 49 motor lodge. If only the staff weren't so rude about the problems! !

Saw an advertisement in my local newspaper for this resort. Liked the photos but was disappointed that my bedroom did not overlook the beach as portrayed. Regardless, I was determined to make the most of my weekend. Checked in and was not felt welcomed. No explanation of the "extras." My unit, on the 18th floor, was nice except for the carpeting which was terribly stained. I apologized for this when company arrived and explained I was not responsible for the stains. Went to the beach but was cautious because of the slippery steps. Construction work was in progress at the lanai. Nobody seemed to care that I was a guest. The parking deck across the street, was a bit scary. Local residents must use it for access to the beach. Meeting people in the elevator, who were potentail buyers, they remarked that because of the poor construction, they'd not buy a condo at Calypso Cove.

The Calypso Resort and Towers was found to be very comfortable and clean. We were there during the off season and returned home quite relaxed and well rested. We have already told a few friends about it. We plan to revisit during warmer weather. I found the location to be good, very close to downtown. Check in was quick and easy. The atmosphere was nice and quiet. Once we entered our room we heard no commotion or noise. It was an overall great getaway.

The calypso resort was a wonderful place to stay! First of all, the room was ready early which was a bonus. The rate was so reasonable, it allowed us to stay in a nice place and still be able to do everything else that we wanted to do. My husband and I spent 4 days there and had a fantastic time. The condo itself was fabulous! It was huge!! The kitchen was fully stocked with any appliance or utensil I could possibly need and the furniture was all very comfortable and in excellent condition. The bedroom had access to the balcony which I loved and the master bathroom seemed as large as the bedroom itself!! The view was amazing and with the weeklong perfect weather, sitting on the balcony became one of my favorite things to do-very relaxing. Everyone was friendly and helpful at the Calypso and navigating around the parking garage and main buildings was too easy. The location of the resort is very close to restaurants and attractions, but doesn't make you didn't feel like you are in the middle of everything. I loved everything about this resort and will definitely stay here upon return!

This was my first time to the Calypso in as well as Panama City Beach and there will definatley be more visits to come. In my opionion you can't do any better for the money. The view is perfect and every unit has a balony with a view of the Gulf. Also the washer and dryer in our suite was a big plus as well. When I go back again I will definately be booking with the Calypso again.

The Calypso Towers was an absolute dream. The staff was very helpful and attentive to our every need from hooking up our wi-fi to light bulbs. The suite was better than expected and dvd rentals and having reserved beach chairs and umbrellas on their PRIVATE beach were great touches. This resort is centrally located, but away from the regular PCB crowd. Supermarkets, Target and Walmart were just 10 mins away. Restaurants from family style, casual and fine dining were all within minutes. Private parking garage was great too. This was our first visit and we will be making this a yearly jaunt. Gulf World Marine Park was a great fun family day and worth the money.

What a wonderful place to stay. The view from the balcony was fantastic. The condo was bigger than a small home. Very roomy and very clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. I would certainly recommend this place. I also would stay here again.

The Waterstone Calypso exceeded my expectations, it was this or a regular hotel and I'm glad I picked the Calypso. At check in time I was upgraded. My kids slept in bunk beds and we had 2 full baths. I felt I had my own little apt on the beach... the view was incredible.
